I'm glad that you found it useful! I will be doing an update video on how the second bujo turned out. I changed only a few minor things and it has helped a lot with indexing different lessons!
Please do an updated video on how your journals have been working out. I looked at many teacher journals on the YT, and yours is the most user-friendly.
Thank you for sharing your teacher organization. I've been teaching over 20 years and still look for ways to improve my systems. Your journal is inspiring! I've subscribed. Please make more teacher organization videos if you have more ideas!
Hi, I am also a first year high school teacher this year (Special Education) and I have been considering starting to plan out a notebook/journal like this one for a while for my science and math classes. I currently have a journal I take everywhere: IEP meetings, student interviews, staff meetings, prof. development, and conferences. It has really no organization except that it is chronological. Thank you for making this video and sharing your system. I want to try out some of your ideas for the last 6 weeks of school and see how it goes. P.S. I also use the Frixion Pens :)
So you're a fishkeeper, have reptiles, first-year teacher, AND a bullet journaler? How awesome!! I just watched Cory's tour of your fish room and love your style!! I'm also a first-year teacher (Biology and Marine science), reptile keeper, and fishkeeper who uses a bullet journal to plan. :D
Loved this realistic display of planning/reflections. I love using just a plain notebook and day by day template. Loved the new ideas included. Great video
I’ve been a teacher for quite some time (I am German so the system is different too) but nevertheless there are some really helpful ideas for me. I’ve been doing my lesson planning in handwriting for some time, also making it look “pretty” because I am organized better and enjoy it more. Now I decided to integrate the BuJo method into it and you provided me with some valuable inspiration. (BTW: I teach EFL)
This was incredibly helpful! I've been looking for a planner that suited my needs, and finally decided to just make my own. Thanks for giving me so many great ideas!
Thanks for this - awesome to see another new bio teacher's organisation skills. I just finished my first year, and it went well mostly, but my lack of organisation let me down. So, excited to try something similar to keep me on track!
I noticed on IG that you are taking a hiatus (indefinite?) from social media. I completely understand, but ... If not on IG, then how about an updated YT video about your Teacher BuJo? I got a lot of great tips that I will be using in my notebook from your video - thank you SO much! How did the rest of your school year go? Will you be using the same system during the 2019-2020 school year? If so, what changes, if any, will you be making? If not, why? Thanks in advance for your response!
Thanks for sharing this! I'm not a teacher, but love being organized and will definitely be keeping this in mind and seeing how I can utilize something similar in my life.
Oops my comment launched before I finished. Anyway, I wish you all the best. It's a great journey, and it looks like you are off to an awesome start. Always remember to have fun! Cheers, Chris
Thanks so much for your video. I’m an English teacher in secondary school in Germany and your tips were so so helpful, especially the teacher communication log and the ABC log 👏🏻 just a little tip from me for your pacing guide... try to make a double side spread and use bigger boxes. It worked for me. I can send you a picture of mine if you like. Thanks again for your awesome video! ❤️
I'm a little late to the party here, but this is a great setup! Do you have a separate journal for your personal information, or do you put them together in one? I can't imagine bringing more than one notebook with me at any one time, but I can't imagine how something like this would function, serving as both teacher and personal bujo. Any thoughts?
It's good to see you here! I am glad this gave you some good ideas! I will be doing an update on my Spring semester journal. We should get together and talk about our planning methods some time!
Thanks for sharing! I am in my first year teaching and wish I had done this! But, there's always next year. I love the size of this journal. What size is it?
I notice that you use the slim softcover notebooks. Perhaps next school year a hardcover master with more Pages would prevent you having to rewrite all the schedules and master calendars?
I like how light and thin the softcover notebooks are. Maybe I'll be writing fewer things in the future and be able to fit it all into one in the future haha
My personal bullet journal is a huge mess haha, very random with maps and feeding charts everywhere. Really it's just a lot of chaotic chicken scratch >.
Dyingrace The point is to have a notebook that I can carry around independent of my computer. I also like having everything in one place that I can quickly open to and see monthly versus daily arcs of my schedule. Some things will eventually be digitized, like resources, but I needed a place to collect them first. Also writing and drawing things out is much faster and easier for me
A teachers bujo that actually looks useful! Thank you for sharing. I wish more would show setup that they have used and know it works.
I don't typically comment on videos, but this is one of the best teacher bujo vids I've ever seen! Very nice and thank you for sharing!
I'm glad that you found it useful! I will be doing an update video on how the second bujo turned out. I changed only a few minor things and it has helped a lot with indexing different lessons!
Inglorious Bettas Can't wait to see it!
while not fish related, I loved this video. I love the feel of a full notebook/journal and who isn't addicted to office/stationary supplies?

Disc binding....sooo helpful

Oh my gosh! We are twins!!! :D
Welcome to the teaching club! I'm twelve years in. Not quite as exciting as marine biology but I teach maths. Amazingly rewarding profession!

Lots of good ideas. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for watching! Good luck with the school year, it's going to be a doozy!

You are so welcome!

I love your teacher dashboard! Definitely have to try that out, thanks for sharing:)

This is awesome Gianne! So neat and organized 😂 My sister loves bullet journaling, so I'll definitely show this to her :)
Awesome! I did one last year using a hardcover sketch book. Yay organization ❤
Great video, could you share what kind of notebook is that? Seems larger than the regular leuchttrum, but idk. Thanks!!

I’m a school counselor and I wish all of my teachers had an ABC layout! I will definitely have one in my Bujo this year.
Hey Gianne,
Love the video. I've spent the last 10 years as a middle school science teacher.
Excellent job!!!
Excellent tool! I have something similar but I got some good ideas from this!
It's good to see you here! I am glad this gave you some good ideas! I will be doing an update on my Spring semester journal. We should get together and talk about our planning methods some time!
You should look into disc binding. Soooo convenient bc you can move pages around
Great video! How detailed are your plans you write on the computer and how are they organized??
Thanks for sharing! I am in my first year teaching and wish I had done this! But, there's always next year. I love the size of this journal. What size is it?
No wonder why you're so busy! Your journal is an art piece! lol

Can you do a fish keeping journal flip through?
My personal bullet journal is a huge mess haha, very random with maps and feeding charts everywhere. Really it's just a lot of chaotic chicken scratch >.
Email doesn’t work? Sounds like a DREAM!!!
Hahaha right!
wew like so much effort put into it, woudln't it be easier just have it digitized.
