The Ghosts performance from the Suhr Factory Party 2015 is what I always send to people as an introduction to Big Wreck.

Pages is so effing good. Every time I think Big Wreck can't surprise me anymore, they blow my mind again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ian Thornley is like a master fusion chef. He immerses himself so many different genres to the point where he embodies them. Then he fuses them all together in a totally new way you never could have imagined. The result is this fascinatingly versatile proggy blend that still respects what was great about the original inspiration. Big Wreck just keeps going deeper with every new release.

The most frustrating thing about Ian and Big Wreck by far is… that nobody knows who they are when I try to tell them how mind blowingly good they are.

I’ve been trying to get Eddie Trunk into them, and he’s been quite receptive to there music that I’ve shared. I think he would actually have Ian on his daily show if approached. And Eddie has a huge audience that follows his lead. Get on that!

It's so great that Nick decided to work with Big Wreck to help produce. To my ears it is better sounding than the last few records.

The Pleasure & the Greed, ...but for the sun are 2 of my favourite albums. Then I'll listen to a different Big Wreck album & think "Nope, this is one of my favourite albums". Then I realize that I have a LOT of favourite albums.

I agree about Ghosts, I fell in love with that record when it came out and they were new to me. Albatross is my favorite earlier record. Looking forward to listening to the new record. Thanks Roi and Ian!! May better busses be in your future 😊
P.S. the new record is amazing, easily best since Ghosts…as usual Roi is ahead of the game. Timely interview 🎉

I’ve been trying to get Eddie Trunk into Big Wreck and he’s been quite receptive to there music that I’ve shared. I think he would actually have Ian on his daily show if approached. And Eddie has a huge audience that follows his lead. Especially right now when things are slow on air with the holidays. Their history starting out with the Dream Theater boys, Eddie being very close friends with Mike Portnoy, also doesn’t hurt. Portnoy has also sung Big Wreck’s praises to Trunk. So get in that!!!

On In Fair Light I hear tears for fears and Supertramp and also Red Rider, and then bird of paradise sounds like turn it on again and then Wings on the verses.

Ian's right about Grace Street. I think it's their most balanced and yet ambitious and accomplished album. All the classic Big Wreck sounds are there, but with plenty of prog flourishes throughout. It's all excellent, but "A Speedy Recovery," "Motionless," "The Arborist," and "Skybunk Marché" are highlights, especially for the prog rock inclined.

Pages is one of my two favourite releases of 2023 along with Katatonia Sky Void Of Stars. Easily the two albums I listened to the most in 2023

If Ian came up with some catchy hooks with a beat to get you off your feet and dance all in 2.5 to 3.5 minutes for radio he would catch fire 🔥 in the states .

Big Wreck is arguably making the best music of their entire career. "Albatross" was really good, "Ghosts" was A+ flawless, "Grace Street" was really, really great, "But For The Sun" was good with maybe a slight dip & then they released "7" which is the best/most complete A+ effort to date which has been followed with a new "Pages" EP that's absolutely amazing! It's really exciting to hear the next batch of songs.

Someone commented elsewhere that In Fair Light copies One Slip by Floyd. I'm not a musician, but I can't hear it. Bird of Paradise is actually my favourite!
