Something I do is brown my hamburger when i bring it home and freeze it cooked. It makes casseroles so easy.
Great idea!
I do the same thing! I freeze it in bags but kind of flat, so that it's super quick to defrost and I can just toss it into any weeknight meal. And no matter how much meat I pre-cook I only have to wash the pan once at the end so I save on dishes a little bit
I've done that my whole adult life. I was working and going to school full time so it made it so easy to fix a quick dinner. I'd freeze them flat too so they'd thaw fast in a sink of hot water.
I do the same, but I usually buy a lb of ground turkey for every pound of the burger and cook it together. Since I am only feeding myself, I usually bag and freeze 3/4 of a lb. Also, since I am only cooking for me if a recipe says to use a 9X13 pan, I will split it into 2 8X8 pans and freeze one for a day when I get to busy to cook.
My mom had 5 of us and we were Hellions! She’d clean and we would be right behind her making another mess! I don’t have kids, but I have friends with 4-5 kids and the same thing happens with them. Thanks for the recipes!
Thanks for sharing, this made me laugh and smile. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Adore your children ❤❤❤
Amazing idea's. Love those smart children❤😊
Thank you! 😀
Hi from the UK, wow they look amazing I'm stealing your ideas for work 😊❤
Yay! Do it!
Thanks Maria, really great recipes. As far as a clean house, never gonna happen while your kids are still at home. My 3 adult (early 20's) kids still live at home and I am constantly picking up after them.
Thank you for telling us the actual cook time for the lasagna recipe. Very helpful. And your boys are super cute! Looks like a very special Christmas at your house this year. ❤
So many great budget friendly ideas Maria! Thank you so much sweetheart for all you do to help us all out with these fantastic recipes. I especially like the versatility in all of them, using what you have and customizing it to our families likes ! Great video❤❤❤
I'm going to make the sloppy Joe pizza tonight but I'm using left over taco meat.. so yummy
Try stuffing ground beef into marrow or squash. Cover with cheese sauce and additional grated cheese. My kids call it heaven
Wish our prices were that low. It's anywhere from $4.50 lb. to $5.25 lb.in my area. The 5 dinners look really delicious.
Just a thought, when you cooked extra meat. I will freeze half of it to make another meal even easier. You're already doing the work. Great job.
Watching recommendations from Mindy. Great ideas!
All looks Great!!!!👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Great ideas for ground beef, Maria. Being from the northeast myself, do you ever make American Chop Suey? If you do, would love to see your take on it. Always one of my absolute favorites since childhood! Made it yesterday as a matter of fact and am now enjoying the leftovers. Lol!
Wow that's Awesome Maria Love Dan and Ben and Tommy are Julian and 🐈 ❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊
Sometimes if I have to brown to much meat, I take out half to refreeze for a different easy meal. So nice to have browned meat in the freezer. I just don’t eat a lot of meat. 😊
These all look yummy
Awesome recipes, thanks Maria 👍👍👍
Thank you for sharing!
As usual, great recipe ideas--thank you :)
All the meals looked great! I made garlic bread sloppy joes before and my family wasn't a fan. I was shocked 😂 but i think its bc they dont like sloppy joe sauce. I bet if I use marinara sauce they'd like it better.
Your so lucky to not have picky eaters ❤
Wow amazing 😮 👏 thanks for sharing ❤
You could always mix your pasta and sauce in the pot that you cook your pasta in
Thank you for your time and recipes. Happy Thanksgiving 😊
Looks great.❤❤❤❤
would love to see way more Buget&fromScratch Videos here
I found 3 pkgs of beef bacon at Shaw's and froze it!
Thanks, Maria! 😊
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 👏
Hi Maria 👋
Do you by chance have any ground turkey or chicken delicious recipes?
👍👍👍👍
😷💚
Technically, you can refreeze meat if you've defrosted it in the fridge and find that you didn't use it within a few days. I looked it up a few months ago for the same reason. The main thing is that it defrosted in the fridge and not on the counter
Always hoping there will be one recipe without cheese.
you know you can re-freeze food that has thawed out per the USDA😊
