Has anyone had the issue of the rectrifyer connector burning out? Also where to find the original wiring harness. I can find the connector online but has the different colours and i pulled a couple of the wires out of the connector and didn't take a photo beforehand so i now cannot remember the configuration. TIA everyone

"Nothing worse than flying on the interstate and losing." Yup legit just happened to me... my friends say its either my stator or rectifier and it won't start making a buzzing noise.

Check fuel and air. Also check breather for tank. Could be choakking the engine due to vapor lock

Can a stator going out cause my bike to die on the highway?

the bike might have died because the stator didnt charge the battery so yes.

The grease is not conductive, it's just to keep moisture out and stop corrosion. Other than that, great video! About to replace a burnt out stator on my '09 Versys 650

well thats what the shop said. I mean, I noticed I left the blinker on once I got the original boost. The shop said basically it was low voltage that caused the stator to go. Quite common on these units apparently.

@@ridethestorm6690 good luck with that one. If you change both the stator and rectifier you should be covered. New battery too if it's older just to be safe.
