    Keep it up mate! Great review and quality production. Game looks good, reminds me of Freelancer from 2003. Definitely one I'll keep an eye out for, been a while since I played a space shooter.

    This review is so much better and more in depth than any of the reviews from the large outlets such as IGN. You have sold me on this game.

      Thank you Dave, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch, and provide feedback. I do work very hard to go in depth on my reviews to put myself in the seat of the consumer on kind of what would effort should be put into a review to be thorough. I am sure I will leave stuff out here and there as I continue to get better, but you can always expect me to put in the work and be honest. Thank you again!

      Chorus is excellent, but it's even more of an arcade shooter than Everspace 2 and has very little choices in outfitting your ship. It's a great time though!

    I started playing this game and love it to some extend. There are some things that can be have done better, but hey, I don't wanna be picky, especially with the lackluster of good games around (Not talking about AC6, BG3, FF16 etc).
    Anyhow, the game is fun. What I missed a lot in a game,is the number of the puzzles, even small or big, this game does a fantastic job at those. The ship building is not like in Starfield, but they look amazing. The space fights, I would not recommend going easy or super easy, they can be very short, even if the enemy is 1 or 2 levels above. I started with on normal, with the default ship, and got myself the vindicator (basically it is a 5 drone carrier), and tried all of them, the heavy "boys" are real power houses.
    The world design is made simplistic, but fascinating in the same time. The small cutscenes here and there, even if they are cartoonish, I liked them. The game starts slow, but at some point is going to be a dozy.
    The game overall, I would give it a 7.5/10. Why? Will do my best not to spoiler: until a certain point, the travelling can be tedious, but enjoyable. Crafting, can be overwhelming if you are not the kind of gamer that likes to grind for resources. Buying the ship is a worth, but again, the grind can be real. As another content creator mentioned in his video, it does have elements of a looter shooter. Other than that, I really wish for this game to have a constant update.
    Final note: I am not at the end, but there is a nice system with some portals, did not understood the benefit of doing them.

      More details after seeing the vid: I have a 1070OC and I had no problems with the graphics. I had some crashes, but my CPU is quite old and could not keep up :)).

    Joysticks: It is awesome. I've tried the gamepad and the mouse and keyboard but it just felt off.I have 4 separate controllers. Dual joysticks, rudder and a DIY control panel that has analog axis controls. The setup allows me to take full advantage of the game's 6DOF. The game is arcade-y (which I am totally fine with), but it can be configured well enough for space and flight sim enthusiasts.

    Honestly after playing chorus on PS5 the combat in ever-space 2 looks so boring and bland in comparison to chorus , but the exploration seems to be better in ever-space 2, not sure I’m going to like the combat as chorus combat and movement was so good, if anyone played chorus and ever-space 2 please share ur feedback between both games combat gameplay and system

      @@DetectiveSeeds yea man the combat in chorus is kinda sweet really tight controls with roll/spin maneuvers , fast action high octane type of combat with sharp quick turns and you get this ability thats kind of similar to break boosting I mean the controls just feels so nice when ur in combat , I swear I feel like I’m a top gun pilot 😂 after playing that and now looking at ever space 2 combat it’s like night and day difference, ever space 2 seems so nonchalant in combat in comparison even boring if I’m being brutally honest

      @@RicardoDavidson Actually everspace 2 has more combat mechanics and more movement options. Also everspace 2 combat need some strategy unlike chorus so i enjoy it more. but this video didn't showcase it properly. There is a option called Toggle inertia dampeners if you turn if off the movement will feel much better and faster than this video. I have played both chorus and everspace 2 for me everspace 2 comabat is better. I think it is subjective. You should atleast give eve2 a chance i believe you will like it

    But can you crash? Hate space games that don't correctly simulate collisions.

    • @DetectiveSeeds
      @DetectiveSeeds  Рік тому

      You do not actually crash and wreck. You’ll basically run into something and crash/ bounce off of it

    Correction: The universe is NOT procedurally created, that was the first game. Correction: Each class of ship have multiple slots for primary/secondary loadouts. Some ships (Like the Striker) has three primary, others (Like the Bomber) have only two Primary but three Secondary.
    Also, as a tip? Leave a second after your finished before going to the next section, the review felt very 'mashed' together, without any section breaks, despite you calling those out.
