      @@AssyrianDishes I noticed you don"t use pepper or tomato paste. Is there a reason for ?

    Great recipe!!! Good job!
    Just one Q: What happened to the sliced eggplants at the bottom of the dish? 🤔

    • @AssyrianDishes
      @AssyrianDishes  4 роки тому +2

      H Mkd I place the eggplants at the bottom of the pot so the dolma does not stick to the pot. You can eat them also 😊

    assyrian? you mean Turkish? what does Dolma mean in Asyyrian? coz this word is turkish and mean "stuffed"

    • @celestialstar9145

      lmaooo no it's not. Dolma came from Ancient Greece and it was called Thrion. The word dolma is turkish, but the dish itself is not.

    I'm so sick and tired of all middle eastern food related videos flooding over with unsophisticated comments such as "this is NOT Assyrian it is Turkish or Kurdish".
    Are you people aware of that our people have ancient history between the rivers of Tigris and Euphrates since thousands and thousands of years? Do you know how much we contributed to today's civilization?
    Kurds came along during the Mesopotamia era, however this does not mean that your presence is any reason for our historic trades to stop existing, (although you actually did during Seyfo).
    And Turks? You came during the Ottoman empire! There was no Turkey existing until then! Please get your facts clear. Now you want to be petty about a freaking dish?? First you give back all you took (including Bulgur) and then we talk. Or zip it and lets all share this dish in common with each nation doing it their unique way from Balkan to Iraq.

      LMAOO it's not Turkish or Kurdish either. It came from Ancient Greece and was called Thrion or Therion. Turks and Kurds tryna steal from other ethnic groups as usual smh...
