I was a local AZ gas tanker driver for a few years and then transitioned into dispatch. I did not renew my CDL and haven't driven in 5+ years. But, watching you and others has given me a bit of that spark again.
Hey Rusty, Forget diets! They are no good in the long run, change your eating habits instead. Start with three changes... 1) Chew the food properly, I mean chew the food to the point of it becoming almost liquid in your mouth. By chewing your food that much, it is so much easier for your belly to digest it. Also, you eat a lot longer by chewing your food so much and a slice of pizza will take you about 15-20 minutes to eat instead of 2-3 minutes. Chewing longer tricks your brain into thinking its eating more food and after 20 minutes of eating that slice of pizza you will feel satisfied and not eat more. 2) reduce sugars and carbs.. 3) drink 30 minutes before eating and 30 minutes after eating, and not during eating. Give this a try and you WILL see a huge positive difference while eating everything but in moderation. Good luck, buddy.

Rusty you could have used silicone sealant, like stuff you use for a bathroom to silicone the plate back to the trailer. They can peel it off and sort it when you get back
One of best Life changing things I’ve found with weight loss is the you can eat “unhealthy” foods in moderation as long as you stay in a good calorie goal and with not having many food options trucking it’s more manageable

Amigo in my 18 years that i drove my truck I did a lot of cheap fixes that help me get back to my yard or make it to a shop. I drove from Lordsburg NM to Los Angeles by sealing a water pump with the old but good JB Weld it was a series 60 Detroit water pump. It started leaking from the back sael o ring. I ask the shop next to the pilot at Lordsburg and the mechanic wanted $600 + labor. Call my mechanic in L A and he said to jb weld it and remove the water reservoir cap. It was GUCCI for a month. Good luck amigo.
I suggest you use a tire gauge to check psi for your blow out problems. Alot of truckers use a club and go by sound alone. Just like our grand dads did. It isn't a true indication of air pressure. I used to the club thing and now switched to gauges. Might not be fast but neither is 5 hours for repairs.
Yeah Rusty : Over here in the UK, we have a copy of that book aimed at Newbies driving both A, B and C Class, so all in all a worthwhile read but as I do not drive anything except my car, it is no use to me. Cheers for now - Ride Safe.

It's always suspense with you.....3:01 i feel like break lights should have speed indication, i mean vehicles in low 20 mph and less speed should maybe blink break lights like hazard lights to alarm closing drivers that it's not just cars slowing down in speed, but they almost sitting still
Those truck tires are dangerous. I totaled my Audi while I was doing about 70 mph in the exit lane, about to exit the freeway on I-10 West in Ontario, CA. Gravel truck to my left blew one of his right trailer tires and it flew directly into my foglight/front lip area and absolutely ripped out half of my bumper, bent my radiator support, and punctured my oil pan (somehow). Airbags deployed too from such hard impact. Damages totaled to over $12,000. Moral of the story: stay safe everyone, anything could happen at any given time!!

Hey Rusty. On that 55mph in California, believe it, or not, you can actually run 65mph and be just fine. I did that one time on a run from Redding to Riverside, 65 all the way, and running with numerous other trucks (mostly lumber haulers) doing the same speed with some doing 70+. Even got passed by a couple of Cali-DOT officers, no flashing of the lights telling me to slow down. They just went on by casually- as-you-please. My guess is, so long as you're not driving like a maniac and weaving through traffic like a four-wheeler, the bears in California may very well leave you alone, even if you're running 65 instead of 55.
