What will we build on Berm Peak?

- Now that we're ready to dig downhill trails, what's the plan? Today, we take a look at Berm Peak as a whole and decide what the overall layout will be.
The map you'll see in the video is a rough idea of how many trails I want, and where they're go. The names and exact routes will probably change as we work our way through the woods.

I see a lot of you have already spotted that driveway gap opportunity... I can’t promise to build that because it actually gets a little more complicated than the topo map lets on over there. We need to work our way over there. Still, I’ve been eying it since before moving in and will do it if possible!
I wish I could jump my bike but whenever I go for it I ALWAYS crash 🙃
Same
Please make your next videos longer!! They're awesome
I tried to make a mountain bike trail but it’s not fun and midget
Clearing car,s coming up the driveway, would be awesome.............."please sign this waiver" lol
I think I speak for most when I say you can keep uploading only berm peak videos!
Bernard Muldoon yes i agree its so cool to watch
Definitely keep posting berm peak
Bernard Muldoon it's a good thing!
You skate and your watching a bike video, I think your like me, but I think you better at skating
Yeah don’t mix it up !
I don’t know about the rest but I’m perfectly fine with more Berm Peak videos and nothing else
Im pretty sure that all of us are 100% ay ok with nothing but berm peak for a good long time
Retweet
Oh yeah. If you like to, look at my channel, I trackstand for a whole HOUR!!! 😃👍
Yeah
Don't switch it up Seth, keep at it with berm leak trails, great to watch!!
I would 100% say that this is my favourite series on all of youtube to watch right not. It is everything i have aver wanted to do, and as a city boy it might be quite a while before i get to make something like this myself!
Yeah man keep it rolling at the Peak!
Totally agree
*Berm leak*
Please don't switch the videos up! Loving the trail building vids! Makes my week.
Thanks for 1.1K likes!
Hey Jared, hows it going?
Yeah I agree
Agreed!

The chainsaw bit cracked me up! 😂 Glad it’s working for you dude. Can’t wait to get out there and help build something sweet.
Make a driveway gap jump pleaseeee that way the trail can continue down the property
I did an one hour trackstand video, look it up on my channel if you like! ;-)
Mrs bike hacks wants to keep everything contained in the forrest
I wonder if this comment was part of the inspiration
@@Robsn nobody wants to stare your track stand for an hour, unlike others, I have important stuff to do in my life
Just wanted to say, I have nothing against a lot of berm peak videos. They are freaking awesome, and one of my personally favorite UA-cam series

Agreed!
Freaking

I was just about to write the exact same comment.
Hey Seth! More Berm Peak content is just fine with me.
Determination to find out how Berm Peak turns out is very high!
I couldn't care less about missing a regular mtb video, but this project is special.
I'm actually kinda pissed I found this project now, and not one year from now so I could just binge watch it all like I want to!! x(
6:35 I'm pretty sure something carbon cracked there. You could hear the snap.

Seth, you should make a road gap over your driveway, it could be awesome.
Good idea
probably not steep enough, unless you did some serious excavating lol
@@yobaafett he cuts down the whole forest i dont thing this is going to be an broblem

Seth I really enjoy your mountain bike trail making videos so don't worry if you think your repeating content 🚲⛰️😁
When you hear the harmonica playing you know Seth is playing in the dirt
LMAO
These relax me and provide such great information. You are an amazing inspiration and resource 🚵
Honestly I look forward to these videos every week.
Keep up the good work
Harry Todd I don’t even mountain bike anymore, nor am I very interested in it but I love those videos.
I’ve never mountain biked but his content is awesome
These are shitish. He needs bigger property to do something good.
I wanna build stuff like this out of my window what shit would be awsome
I would maybe consider putting grip tape/other materials on the flight deck, since you can slip easily when wet!
I did a lot of testing and the best way to get a sticky surface is to add a layer of paint, drizzle on sand, then brush off the excess and coat with another layer of paint.
True but griptape will get wet and then it just rips away. Also with al the soil it wil get dirty and gone is your grip again
@@bryanpeeters2552 true might consider to put something different there. I wasnt really sure about the griptape.
@@MaxMakerChannel thats genius!

I'm late to this party but I'm glad I found this channel. I love your content! Takes me back to my youthful days when friends and I would ride the woods on our mountain bikes. Someone had spend hours and hours building all the amazing trails we used to enjoy. It's a labor of love! Thank you.
You should make a jump with one of those fallen trees like the Seth cannon or something crazy!

6:35 I highly recommend watching this at .25 speed to appreciate the amount his front wheel flexes on impact.
I thought he broke the whole frame on his bike!

I’ve been watching your videos for a little while, and I have to tell you there amazing. They are so well put together and edited. They are funny, educational, and entertaining. Thank you Seth for all you do in the name of mountain biking.. 👍
"I know it like my own backyard.." good one.
You know we want more videos when it gets 8k views in 10 minutes
Seth: I dont like the chainsaw because it is pretty unsafe.
Also Seth: Lets ride down this 90 degrees "roll in"
How did he ever think that compression was gonna work out
I wish I could flex as far as that front tire did 😂
I like Seth and his channel a lot. Watched from Berm Creek up til now and I think he's an awesome trail builder. But that "roll in" is actually worse than his linkage bending drops to flat of that thing. I just keep finding myself asking "Why !?" lol
Ikr that roll in is way too steep u nid some balls to do it
@@DWNHLLR13 Because it had to be done that's why.
I was searching for a good video to watch and saw this one recommended, it just gave me a burst of happiness.

Love your work Seth! I can’t wait so see the finished trail!
You are by far my favorite you tube channel. Love watching your backyard trail builds. Thanks for your videos they are very educational and inspiring. Keep up the good work.
There’s this tool called a “pull man” basically u clamp around of base of up to a 4 inch thick tree and then u just push down on the lever, and it literally just pulls the whole tree roots included out of the ground in a few seconds, works really well for just medium to small stuff that you can’t pull by hand or would have to cut with the saw cause it just too big for the snips really recommed it even if u just try it a little
Can't find it on google.
I find espresso, hotels, and root shovels.
Got any links??
Me to
Google - extractigator, or weed wrench
Nah don’t switch things up berm peak videos are sick
Thank you for sharing with me Seth. It’s lovely
6:35 I thought you did the same thing again, breaking your collarbone

That's not a roll-in...
That's a vertical stairway to hell!
ThomasLaang exactly what I was thinking 👆🏼🤷🏼♂️🤯
From what his platform starting area was. That was a good base to make something crazy. And than he just puts that drop straight into flat ground. I mean it’s good for a quick starter but he could make something way more unique and creative than that for sure
Exactly
Not a huck-to-flat.....not a roll-in....... that’s a drop-to-taco..
Eventually he should make that a little kicker that launches him in the air
Don't stop the berm peak videos, keep on doing them!
"I know it like my own backyard" I love it
You should build a landing ramp at the bottom of the flight deck, and ride it like a flat drop. Would get you plenty of speed and would be pretty fun.
For Future reference regarding the flags, you can do a like a wrist flick throw straight down to get the flags to stick, used to survey property as a Summer job during school, this way you don't have to bend down Everytime to insert it in the ground... A few throws and you'll get the hang of it
I saw the skinny roll in on insta and figured it was a joke. then he actually rode it
As a long time viewer, I knew I was gonna see him ride it later this week.
Have a look at my 1 hour trackstand video on my channel! And post comments so seth would do it as well! 😃👍🙏🏼
He’s a madman
he almost died
Front wheel falls off half way down, goes otb. "Man I really thought that was gonna work" 😂😂 Seth is such a champ

I've never even touched a mountain bike and haven't ridden a bmx bike in over 10 years but I love watching your videos. A very good way to spend my morning break.
PS the editing and audio is amazing as always.
Christopher Pritchett i think its time for you to go to a bike shop and get yourself a mountain bike, its the best feeling in the world to be on one
you should throw in a hammock underneath the flight deck for so post or mid-ride chilling!
articity maybe something like some stock sheet metal underneath so everything that goes through falls off the side
Heck yes! More updates on the trail building!! That log you ride up on, at the end of the video, would make an awesome teeter/ totter type feature!!
Fantastic vid! I really love the work you did drawing out the maps on from overhead. It helps contextualize the forest footage a lot and adds to the overall quality. Great vid, best of the year.
I am loving the Berm Peak videos! The more the merrier in my eyes. Nice work Seth! :D
He was about to go down the “roll in” the first time and I was like “well no more videos for a month” but then I was shocked when it turned out better than expected. Then he did it a second time and I was like yep, there it is, that’s what a months worth of product review videos looks like.
It's so awesome to watch your progress of this area
Don't even mtn bike but your videos and the passion you have for riding keeps me coming back

Seth please remember to check with your insurance agent that you have enough coverage for this. If you’re having guests over to use this trail you might also want to talk to a lawyer that can draft a solid waiver. You don’t want to be liable for accidents on your property and specially not accidents because of something you built
Agree 100%. The pucker plank screams personal injury atty.
Need a pretty comprehensive umbrella policy for that.
Shit like this is one of the few reasons america can suck. Having to cover your ass in all kinds of ways when it is clearly not a "commercial" property where the public has acces.
If they're his True Bike Buds, they should understand the risks before attempting anything. A true friend will eat the costs if they jack themselves up on a ride on Seth's property.
Pucker Plank waiver: "You must have at least [x=4? 6?] inches fork travel to ride the Pucker Plank."

Am I the only one who was hoping Seth would convert the fallen log into a jump, or a "Northshore" feature by sawing it into a flat riding surface?
Have you seen the last video? The quality of the wood is very low so he can't make Northshore features...
