"Be in touch with your own emotions so you don't trigger patients" Sound Advice! "Trust Your Instincts"!!!! It's essential to have a good relationship with all the other staff AND patients because it can come in handy. If you are well liked people will go to great lengths to help you.

May I ask you - have you noticed any particular personality traits in psychiatrists that you would consider exceptionally helpful (or the opposite) for this career?

Males in general tend to be more aggressive, but, as we’ve heard, female patients can also get violent. Which I can also attest to.
do you think it's challenging to be a female psychiatrist ?? is it a suitable speciality for females ??
