In 1967 my mother and her mother went to Ireland. Somewhere she saw the Dubliners. My mother purchased an album "Live from Albert Hall". I wore it out listening to it and trying to understand the words and meanings. If I heard someone was going to England I would always ask them to bring me home an album. Now in 2023 I am 73 and still listening to the Dubliners. My mother and grandmother are all long gone but I get to think of them when I listen to them. And Now I am Easy.
Not all Russian people support Putin. Only the blood thirsty ones that murder innocent civilians with missiles, bombs, gunshots to the back of the head with hands taped behind their backs and the use of chemical weapons.🇺🇦
I was born in the middle of Europe - where we are supposed to be Slavs, but I am a Celt! I identify with the Celts from a young age in nature, in the landscape, and especially in music! I don't understand native Slavic folk songs, but I love all Breton, Irish and Welsh songs. I was just born too many miles east...I'm a native of the Atlantic.
This is a very worthy tribute to Luke Kelly. As a child I remember seeing Luke walking along Grafton St. in Dublin with a paperback book stuffed into his pocket! He was a bohemian genius with a voice which reflected his inner passion for all that was true and real in life.
I have Listened to the wonderful luke kelly the irish minstrel what a wonderful voice he was taken far to soon it was tragic loss to Ireland and the world god look kindly on luke and god bless the dubliners edda farrell a Calton bhoy
It's been several decades, Luke Kelly died before I was born, but I still feel we lost a pure unbridled talent. The passion in his voice, the soul, it takes you to places you never thought of, makes you feel nostalgia for a place and time you never knew. He is perfection. I think only Liam Clancy comes close to the feeling Luke Kelly invokes.
Luke will slways be in our hearts!TheDubliners have always been my best band and I still cannot stop singing all their songs I grew up with! Thanks LukeR.I.P.
I have watched this DVD countless times. Brilliant. I love how UA-cams subtitles feature tries to work out the lyrics from Luke's voice and mostly gives up and just says '[Music]' haha. :D
Hi, Luke know your out there somewhere, your music is not gone or lost forwever, it lives on with all , witness The Cranberries playing, Zombie, The Poques and your band mates, they are still standing or not, are a tribute to your legacey.
I saw them live in the Stadthalle in Düsseldorf when I was a kid some time in the 70” . And believe or not my Parents and their Friends went out drinking with them after the Concert in the Altstadt while I was sleeping in the back of our car. After that I grew up with their Music. I live in Africa for over 30 Years now and the beautiful sound of Luke Kelly Voice followed me there. The best Band ever to me ❤
Luke being a ginger was unforgettable as a child I saw him in Birmingham several times , 16:37 when we had time to stop and stare. As a child innocently, a man of stature and potency and great humility. I’m blessed being a part plastic Bham paddy .
Greatest Irish folk singer (that we know of/have recordings of)? Very happy to be educated if you've got someone better! Love Ronnie Drew of course, and Finbar and Shaun and Jim. And obviously Daniel O'Donnell transcends genre, space and time itself. But Luke Kelly is the GOAT, no?
Probably sounds like a stupid question but was the performance of "Muirsheen Durkin" playback? It's the only performance on this video without mics on the stage. Of course we all know that they were on of the best live bands out there. 😍
Next thing you’ll hear is a letter from the bure, is just magically. Fuck me, this whole lot is the bollocks. Black velve band is my wife’s song for some reason haha. Hair hopefully

This is the best lineup for, the Dubliners ever.
Luke's voice on Raglan Road touches my heart.
Again Luke Kelly and the Dubliners saved me Depression from destroying me,especially since the friends and family are all gone❤

Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania) was lucky to get these wonderful, musical people.
I remember them in Rush in 1965 they were brilliant .i was 19 😊

Great version and some bit of guitar playing👏👏👏
Erinnerung ist ein Teil unseres Lebens
Just found this. Seen all before of course, but together it’s special, ta.
I heard Luke had acted from time to time, and he IMO had potential to become a film star so too IMO did John Sheahan and Jim Mccann
How has this only 124k views?
I grew up in the back of the car listening to this legend!!!
Genius of the time
Odd, but he and Ronny had such distinctive voices it is almost impossible not to recognize them.
Love it
Gone but always listening to it ,
When Luke yanks Barney's hair! Ha! Thank you for the days!
Clear as a bell!? thats some acheivement Liked & subbbed

I must have been an Irishman in my previous life
You are not dead untill you're forgotten❤
7mins 12 secs is Christy Moore
Still awesome even to a prod like myself
Brilliant
Absolutely fearless and unfortunately before my time, but not too late to catch the tiger by the tail
Never to be another.
Irish people must keep up tradition. In derry the mccafferty family are keeping traditions alive.
Is that Fabrizio de Andrè sitting next to Luke snd picking on thd guitar...raglan road?
That's Al O'Donnell but we can see the likeness
Once we were warriors 💚💚
