John Sheehan, with all your many years experience on the fiddle, you make that instrument sing. Wonderful music that we love. You're leaving your signature in air, and in our hearts! Thank you!

try ask for a new referendum on people's choice in northern Ireland, yes Eire
Onko näille herroille jatkajaa? Että tätä herkkua saa jatkossakin. The Duplin yhtyettä ei kannata lopettaa. Musiikkia tulee kuuntelemaan ihmiset ja laulamaan ja viettämään aikaa mikä sen parempi.
I am drinking..It is not apple juice..It is not gon, Derek, it is beer, ice ,and plenty of vodka..
.
While Patsy Watchorn is a very good singer,he goes around for years with a five string banjo that he has never learned to play properly.
God bless Jim McCann in this
I sure hope you’re enjoying Fiddlers Green Barney 💚
+
I love Fiddlers Green ♥️
In the absence of Ronnie Drew, Eamonn Campbell's gravelly backing vocals really come into their own
Dear sir,
A question please : why is Ronnie Drew absent. I thought he disappeard in 2008.
@@SDufau-bb5yb He died in 2008, but he left the band (for the second time) in 1995. He re-joined them for the 40th anniversary tour in 2002, and on other odd occasions as a guest.
Thank you for your plesant, exhaustive, quick answer. Have a good day

Amazing performance. Makes me sad I was never able to see them live but I'm glad to have UA-cam videos. I sure hope I can still see Sean and The Dublin Legends live one day here in Belgium. The amount of respect and admiration I have for these musicians is huge. Rest in peace Ciaran, Luke, Ronnie, Jim, Barney and Eamonn.
Thanks for your comment.
They are coming to Mechelen
I share your sadness about never having seen them live, but I was fortunate enough to see The Dublin Legends live in Hamburg, Germany this week and the concert was awesome! If you get the chance, go and see them! Before I was unsure if I'd may leave disappointed if they wouldn't be able to perform at their old age (Séan Cannon is 82 years now I think) but their performance was perfect. Séan is still going strong, likewise the rest of the band. The crowd was a loveley mix of old and young people all geniunely enjoying irish folk. Now I have a nice heartwarming memory to think of whenever I tune in again. =)
(1:30:00) John and his daughter playing together was/is the definition of poetry in motion.
Time moves forward; what's meaningful, lasts.
👍🇮🇪 ☘
I may be English but I have always loved the Dubliners and never tire of playing their music.God bless them!
Wonderful, they playing. So I've missed our beloved Dubliners, mainly, Luke, Ronnie, Barney and all. These guys are unforgetttable. 😘💖🇮🇪👍☘
Personally, I am from Romania, but I have the greatest envy towards the Irish, an envy wrapped in love, envy because the Irish have the most beautiful music in the world, such a turbulent history, they and those from Scotland,
I have never been to Ireland or Scotland, but my dream is to reach those lands full of history
God bless Ireland and Scotland
Hope you make to Ireland someday!
You should go, I've visited both countries and they are beautiful
It was sad to hear Jim McCann do the introduction as his voice had deteriorated so much due to the throat cancer which eventually took his life in 2015. But he did get to appear in the Dubliners last concert in 2012 as a guitarist although he could no longer sing.
It's a shame he lost his voice I agree
The most beautiful song I ever heard I am in fluds of teais lisening to UA-cam channel god bless you Barney and the rest of the group they are all singing in heaven 🌹❤️

Outstanding. I’ve seen nearly every Dubs video but had never seen this one. There some absolute musical gems in this performance and some rare/deep cuts.
Thanks You. Glad to hear you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
I wish I could see these guys
The Dubliners forever. R.I.P. Bobby, Luke, Ciaran, Ronnie, Barney, Jim, and Eamonn.

So glad someone else lives this.i find it very touching.especialy when he mentions his late wife' name. Have you seen the one where he is singing this at a local bar. R.I.P.Barney you were one hell of a banjo player .never to get gorgotten.sorry for mistakes.
34000 views only 300 odd likes 1 in a hundred really!! Well 300 + know propper music
I account for 742 of those views
Patsy was the worst replacement ever! Not synchronized with all the others, looked for spotlight as well when other Dubs were singing with disturbing inputs and always gave his trash in the normal verses during Sean was singing! Horrible!
As a Canadian I love these songs.
Patsy was formally with the Dublin City Ramblers.
Great musicians!
I hear the Dubliners since I was young... - it is solid quality, rythm music and good mood in once. I LOVE IT !!! - Vivian Hyde 🙂
They where often wery god, when they sang about tobaco and other lifegiving gifts
the people are no less than kings & queens
3:24 Eamonn secretly seething that his guitar pickup broke on him right from the start
I’m so sad this was almost 20 years ago

Simply the best!
I mean people of Eire, you are the people, I love you always
Yayand
Cant be greater
Looks like Eamonn was having technical trouble with his guitar pickup on the night. Clearly a certain amount on overdubbing.
Qp
Jasus Jim
Why oh why no bass ? Great otherwise great.
I've never heard Dublin in the Rare Oul Times been murdered quite as badly as that guy singing!
Each to their own, this is my FAVOURITE version!
@@jackcarter5101 Patsy Watchom is a shadow of Luke Kelly or Ronnie.
@@bingalong His singing style is somewhat hit and miss, but this is very much one of his hits, along with The Dublin Minstrel and All For Me Grog
@@bingalong Plus he's a better banjo player than Luke. His brother Paul is better still.
@@athull08 I can't even view the post any more, what's that about. Anyhoo, I'll take you word for the banjo part but it's a question of presence, of which he has a serious lack.
