Underrated heroine. Love how different Ñoldor showcase different types of artistry and craftsmanship, in Nerdanel's case it's her sculptures. It's also said that Maedhros and Maglor inherited her patience and wisdom, but clearly it wasn't enough to keep them from their demise

I wonder if Nerdanel, Indis, and Míriel have long wine-fueled lunches to talk about their family lives. Interestingly, all 3 could get remarried because Finwë agreed to stay back and Fëanor isn't allowed to come back but I think they're done with marriage.

Miriel isn't back from Mandos either

@@resathe6760 In _Morgoth's Ring_ (chapter "The Later Quenta Silmarillion") Tolkien wrote that Miriel and Finwë met in the Halls of Mandos and she learned what happened after her death. Finwë agreed to stay in Mandos and Miriel reentered her body. She felt sadness and some responsibility for the turmoil among the Noldor and did not live with them but instead became the chief handmaid of Vairë. She spends her time weaving tapestries that record the history of the Noldor and at times Finwë is allowed to look upon them.

You can tell that she lived in a mythical fantasy world. In today's real life, no child whose name begins with "Nerd" would make it through school without something terrible happening.

Nerdandel's creativity, stamina, and wisdom made her the perfect match for Feanor's fire.

Nerdanel should have gone with Feanor and her children. On that much Feanor was right.
