- Hi Rob Squad family and friends! Man, were we lucky to have on our show founding member, keyboardist, and singer of the Young Rascals (and Rascals), Mr. Felix Cavaliere. Perhaps one of the best storytellers we’ve yet to have on our channel, in this episode Felix shares memories about the legendary Soupy Sales, how the band got their name, as well as where the Young Rascals got the inspiration for their biggest hit that went to #1 in 1966, “Good Lovin’”.

We launched Rob Squad and The Creators as its own channel because that is what our RSR family wants. We also have been honored to work with the amazing Production Company, F Street Productions, led by Michael Simon and Scott Kushner. Together with F Street, Amber and I have had the honor to react to many iconic songs from the original writers, singers, and producers. The other cool thing is these artists share the behind the scenes of the songs, and as well as other stories during our discussions.
This channel could have never happened without your views and constant support, so from the bottom of Amber’s and my heart, thank you very much! We need people to subscribe to keep this channel going.
We always love feedback so feel free to send us anything at P.O Box 6501 Moore, Ok 73153. robsquadreactions@gmail.com

The late great Dino Danelli on the drums was phenomenal!
Original band members were Felix Cavaliere (keyboards & lead vocals), Eddie Brigati (lead vocals & tambourine), Dino Danelli (drums) & Gene Cornish (guitar).
They were fabulous! I'd love you to hear People Got To Be Free.
Also, check out the UA-cam video of their 1997 induction into the R&R Hall of Fame, done by Steven Van Zant of Springsteen's E Street Band. So good!
Thanks for a great trip down memory lane ❤
Be blessed
At my friend's wedding, the DJ played "Good Loving" at the reception. Well, when the break hits after your wailing' organ solo, we all sang "1234,123- Good Lovin"! The Rascals music is woven into so many good times.Boom!!! Great stuff! Thanks.
Just loving this series, to hear these stories from the originators is such a blessing. The Rascals had such a great 60’s sound, happy, upbeat and full of promise of better times to come, we need that feeling today more than then. ✌️
A wonderful interview. One of my favorite songs from my youth. EVERYBODY knew this song back then!
These guys are really really good. They had a great sound. You should try. It’s a beautiful morning.
Great production here....I enjoy the inserts for reference...great work!!
I probably saw that Ed Sullivan episode! Never missed it. Loved loved The Young Rascals ✌️❤️
It's been toooo long since I heard that song! Wonderful interview 😀😀🧡🧡
OMG I loved Soupy Sales. Loved this too. Also How Can I be Sure.
Looking forward to this!!! Felix on lead vocals and keys on this one. They had 6 top 10 hits 1966/1967.
Hopefully he'll bring "People Got to Be Free", "A Beautiful Morning" or "Groovin' " soon! (although you've already reacted to "Groovin' ")
Great to see he's going to be on here. I absolutely love the Time Peace Album. One of the best New Year's Eves parties ever was when you guys played at The Salt Palace in Salt Lake City on New Year's Eve 1969. It was a night I'll always remember. Thank you!
Wow!!!! One of my favorite 60s groups…I had the pleasure of seeing them when they reunited back in 2014 at the Hollywood Bowl.all original members and one of the best concerts ever..they kept the exact same tempo that they had back in the day when they were in their 20s…which is rare for older musicians that still perform…congratulations you two..this is amazing…you definitely need to dive into more Rascals…mind you btw I was born in the 80s but goes to show that music transcends time
Had the pleasure of meeting Dino here in the UK when he was on tour with Little Steven back in the 80's. Fantastic drummer and a total gent. May he RIP ❤
I saw the Rascals maybe 30+ years ago in Virginia Beach and they still had it
This was the first 45 I ever bought.
Good choice!
That is my favorite song from one of my favorite bands. Thank you, thank you.
This song is still on my playlist
