Dear Penny, thank you for this great video and the helpful tips. I have a question about Photozym's DNA Repair serum (I am using this for a while now because of your recommendation 🤩)If I apply this before the 10-minute LED session, will it be so absorbed into the skin that I can apply more water-based serums afterwards , such as for example the BR-Serums) and they still penetrate the skin layer? Wish you a wonderful weekend.😍
Please compare faq 202,too❤I'm interested how does quality compare to other led masks.Everybody just mentions more lights. Is it actually a good red light mask?Great video,as always
Thank you Penn! I was going to post in the group about this topic. I’m really focusing on getting more out of my LED, and have been experimenting with products to use with it. While it is pricy, I must admit the Auteur toner used with LED light gives such a great glow to the skin. I’ve been using that toner, waiting a few minutes and applying my photozyme before my LED, and it gives a wonderful glow. Leah spoke about an active ingredient in that toner for use with LED, and just from my personal experience it does do what it says. I will say I don’t find ten toner to be very hydrating, I save it to use with my LED. I have also used copper peptides in the past with LED, and want to try the maysama serum. I’m looking into the research around which of the these ingredients (or any others) might provide the greatest improvement with LED. In your research have you found any info on how these active ingredients stack up to one another to enhance LED treatment? Also I’ve been going back & forth between the Sachi pigment inhibitor and fade bright. Can’t wait to hear your review!
Ok so I also LOVE LOVE that Auteur mist!! I am still on my original bottle (with fragrance) bc I ONLY use it with LED, and obviously I have all these other products. I wish that mist wasn’t so expensive, but I do think it’s incredible. I’m working on a video that is the best (all time) things I’ve ever bought from SkinbeautifulRX and that is one of them. At least Leah gives us great discounts, right?
And the Auteur mist has a peptide complex that they say is why it’s good with LED but I’m not sure WHY. Except the peptides are good anyway and are hydrating of course. Still digging in to that one 💙
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE that will be a GREAT video! You know I thought about asking you if you would ever consider doing a video over products that are pricy, but deliver results. I always like to know good/better/best when it comes to products, and then make the decision that fits my needs with the season of life I’m in. I always want to know best options out there, and then I budget accordingly. I’ve got some drug store cleanser right next to my fancy Auteur 😂(plus can we talk about the packaging and the mist on that Auteur toner 🙌🏻). I’m SO glad I decided to try it bc I’ve really noticed a difference, and like you said using it only with LED my bottle is lasting a long time. Also started on BR 1950, and use the trick you taught me of just using my fingers no cotton round, and it’s lasting a long time too and the glow! 🤩 We are all very conscious of money right now, but would definitely love a video of maybe the products you love bc they truly perform, and you haven’t found an affordable alternative, but have been hesitant to recommend bc of price. This whole perimenopause skin changes seemed to happen overnight, and I woke up and didn’t recognize myself. So in this season of my life I’m on a mission to prioritize it, and want to bring out the big guns. 😂Even stop ignoring the skin on my body.
@@PENNSMITHSKINCAREdo you mist it on or mist then press or do you spray into your hand and press? I haven’t been super impressed by it, but I use it before LED and the mist is SO fine I wonder if it’s actually doing anything! 😂

Thank you Penn. I use and love CosRX. What is the minimum you could use an LED panel and get positive affects? I have been using MitoPro for three years.
Thank you for helping all of us! I know you've done LED mask reviews, but I still don't know which one is best for anti-aging benefits. It is such a significant investment and I want to make the right choice as I'm only purchasing one time for years. Any chance you could do a video and rank them in order? I would buy it that day! 😊
Penn is working on a video comparing the latest innovations in LED devices. there are some really wonderful ones with different features - not a 'one size fits alll' but an ideal option depending on what's important to you. I believe she'll release that video within the next month!
@@nancypreston7966 yes!! That video is slated for November 2. Until then I can confidently say my top 2 are Maysama and Currentbody series 2. That is for anyone who WANTS a new mask. For everyone who already owns a mask I do not think they need to upgrade necessarily. So many great masks that we all already own!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE can you include Faq 202 in the comparison? What's the actual quality of their red light?Everybody just mentions different lights that all we hear when people compare them

You are my go to for all my skincare 💕 Thank you so much for all the hard work you do to make your amazing channel possible! This video is perfect timing because I’m going to buy an LED panel soon. Can I use the Bradceuticals Gold Mesenchymal Stem Cell Serum before doing LED? If so, how long after I put it on should I wait before using the panel?
Penn, thank you very much for recommending Sachi Triphala to me previously. I was so impressed with this serum that I have repurchased three times and have now also added their Pro Resilience serum in as the 'undercoat'. The apparent purity of the ingredients and the brand's ethos are really great. A minor thing, but I was also super impressed with their shipping time internationally and the way they packaged and presented the products. It felt very luxurious and as though your purchase really mattered to them. To have a brand extend their aesthetic by post like that was quite impressive!! Thank you also for the Faustina IPL recommendation. It's actually helping remove freckle pigment on my arms (albeit I zap myself more than the recommended number of times)
Need your expertise opinion please! Which led mask to you recommend for 54 regular aging skin? I currently have the current body led mask and have had for 2 years just looking to upgrade. I know you have a mask video coming up but can’t wait 😜 I’m ready for a new splurge❤

Wonderful info Penny and just what I wanted to know given Maysama don't ship to NZ 😭 We need to know about your foundation/Estee Lauder trick lol! Lots of love from your fans in Kiwiland
Same! I’m wondering this as well. The panel was already pricey, so I’d be really pushing it getting a mask plus it’s another device add to the already long routine lol
@@Steph_Renee_RN lol, I’m sticking with the panel, good coverage everywhere with one device. I’m guessing she’s using them all to show the different options for people, but that’s just a guess, so I was curious.🙂
I was wondering if the panel covered everything that the mask would along with the chin and neck that she added to the bundle. I want to buy one, but I want to get the most bang for my book so I was curious as which route to go.
@@michellejacquesvenable6068 It depends on the size panel you get but I have one that is about 24” long by 20” wide and it does cover a wide area. I can’t afford the full length body panels but I just hang my panel on the back of a door and change my position from standing to sitting and from front to backside to get my whole body. The panels tend to be stronger too with built in fans to keep the higher quality light diodes cool. The masks don’t have that and are not as strong, so they have to be used more. I just found more bang for my buck getting the panel but I think it just depends on your needs, budget and whatever one you will use consistently. Near infrared and far infrared light is amazing beyond skin health. Many studies out now on it thankfully. Hope that helps! 😊
I watch Dr. Samantha Ellis as well and really enjoy her UA-cam videos with that being said perhaps I will try her Prequel Skin serum to use for my mask and LED panel But my question right now is I have (not sure if you shared) but I currently have NIOD Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist I use before the panel. I also have IsNtree Green Tea Fresh Toner. I would not have a problem with getting rid of them even though they’re almost full if you think hers is by far better Value your opinion if nothing else I will use these then purchase hers when I’m finished. Enjoy your journey in life and keep spreading your sunshine. Thank you
Oh both of those are SO GOOD. I love the NIOD with my panel too! Mostly bc it’s so big and I can be generous-but also the ingredients are amazing! Her serum is more hydrating, but I would not say “better”. Certainly go through what you own first- you have some great products! 💙💙
What about the Revive Serums? I have been using the isintree green tea toner and green tree fresh emulsion. I wait 15-20 minutes after applying? Is that necessary? I know new data is always being discovered. 😀 Thanks for all you do for us! I’ve been skincare obsessed since I was 12. Now in my late 40’s it has paid off.
You are looking extra good today Penn! Is it just lighting/makeup or do you think it's cumulative effects of all the things you are doing? Anyway thank you for the videos
I’ve ordered the Maysama SPRAY - I want something quick that I’ll comply with, sometimes I don’t feel like getting my hands sticky as I do my LED on the couch
Thank you again for such another great video. I have watched videos and read people’s comments that said they use castor oil before they use their LED mask or panel. What is your thought on this?
I really like the Maysama mask and the currentbody series 2 BUT if anyone owns HigherDose or dr Rajani or omnilux…those are all still very good masks. I’m just really intrigued by pulsing LED (Maysama) and 1072 wavelength (currentbody) and I love the under-chin with currentbody (and then Maysama has an under chin with their chin to chest….) Just some great options available now!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE so if you had to get one, what would be the most bang for your buck? At first I was leaning towards a panel, but would you say the mask would be a better option? To be able to cover your chin neck, décolleté.. thank you for all of your wisdom and knowledge you share!
I'm currently using my NIOD sdsm mist with my current body mask. Its working well & u get loads for your money too. I need to sachi triphala but i already use 20% azelaic acid cream. How can i incorporate the triphala serum?
Hi! Thank you for your wonderful videos. You mentioned we could ask about serums we already have. Do you think Derma E Ultra Hydrating Dewy Skin Serum would be okay to use before LED mask? 💙
Thanks Penn for yet another great video. Paired my Photozxme with my LED this morning! Would love it if you would do a dedicated video to products that do NOT contain hyaluronic acid or any of its aliases! I live in a dry climate with zero moisture in the air. ❤
YES! No one ever bothers to mention that hyaluronic acid is useful only when the ambient humidity is at least 40%, otherwise it sucks the moisture OUT of your skin. Deception or a lie of omission every time someone praises a product with HA in it.
Thank you for being just about the only person who understands that hyaluronic acid actually sucks the moisture OUT of your skin in low humidity environments. No one ever mentions this critical little factoid when talking about hyaluronic acid, and it's very difficult to find products that don't have hyaluronic acid in them.
I barely wait. After talking to Bev I decided that it’s unnecessary to wait and especially when using pulse led I want the product to penetrate with the pulsing 💙
Hi Penn, thank you for this great video! I just ordered Maysama atomizer and Isntree TW Real Bifida Ampoule. I'm planning to use these not only during my LED therapy, but also as part of my skincare routine. When would you recommend to use these - AM or PM? Can both products be used together with the tretinoin crème? Can they be used with the vit. C serum?
Thanks Penn! I’ve been using the Photozyme after I do my LED mask and my ZIIP. I would love to use the Photozyme before my LED mask, but my question is, if I do the ZIIP right after my mask, (which I believe is recommended) would I be wasting the Photozyme since I have to wash off the conductivity gel? Also, how would the Needleless serum be to use in conjunction with the Photozyme before the LED mask?
I agree, I wouldn’t do it that way and wash off photozyme. Hmmm. Ok you could ziip first then rinse/wash, apply photozyme and led adter. Leaving the photozyme on of course. 💙💙
Thank you so much for this video, very informative. Can you do a video of how to pick up the best LED mask? There are so many in the market is overwhelming 😮. Thank you 😊
I can’t honestly say. I spent over $600 on it and I can’t say it was worth it. I’m diving in to the science but right now it’s not a clear recommendation.
So glad you mentioned only to use water-based products before LED. My holy grail mixture, so to speak, is the Avene 2% RetrinAL, with Truth Treatments Transdermal C serum (THD-ascorbate), the Ordinary Niacinamide, and Isomers Matrixyl-4 Pur Collagen Peptides Serum, and I've been happy with the results. I've been applying this mixture most of the time because my skin can't tolerate the rooibos serum more than once a week. The retinal and the vitamin C products are oil based - so does this mean the Maysama panel lights are blocked? I've been doing this ever since you had that special last year and haven't had much noticeable improvement in my skin, which is pretty good anyway so that may be the reason, too. I'm 73.
@@sballantine8127 I wouldn’t say blocked, but probably not optimal. Those are all excellent products though, so that’s good!! Do you actually MIX the retrinal with the TT? This sounds like something I would do lol. Sounds divine honestly 😄
Omg! What LED mask do you have on in the video? I use a LED panel at home but I travel every week for work 😔 so I have masks for face, neck and décolleté. My mask hurts my nose so much and leaves an awful red mark. The soft mask you had on looks like heaven!
Penn is using the Maysama mask. She talked about it in last week's video as well (Penn has a 30% off code for Maysama. good until the end of November!!) ua-cam.com/video/mXYMRjNsOqE/v-deo.htmlsi=Ddb_Fime8SSX9A4Q&t=792
So I have a couple on in this video- I would say the one that is the softest on the nose area is the new currentbody series 2. I have a comparison video coming nov 2 - I will definitely show the nose area on all the masks!
Has anyone heard of Calecim Stem Cell Serum? I was recommended to use this before LED! Also I wonder if I should layer my usual green tea toner/serum over it ~ would that give more benefits or I shd just stick to one product? With the above amentioned products can u layer them or its best to just stick to one at a time as well? Love the vid!
Great video information about what’s good to use with led masks, I have a question about the Photozyme DNA repair serum in conjunction with my led mask, I do use that product and love it Penne, but I usually use it at night after my Retinaldehyde serum, would I just use it the once with my mask or reapply it the way I normally do my night time skincare routine, my first step is a Growth Factor so I would be putting that over the DNA repair serum. I hope you can understand what I mean and I hope you can answer my question. Thank you for sharing this information. 💜💜🇦🇺
I use a little squalane oil to massage my face and neck while I using the panel, red light and sometimes with led lights. Do you think that s not good with the panel?
Can you tell me about led and micro needling either.25 or .5 or higher. Can you use it before or after? I learn so much from you and most of all I definitely trust your expertise!!! Thanks penny
I consider microneedling and LED to be best friends 💙 LED after microneedling to cap inflammation. If using a mask you have to be very careful that it’s well cleaned so that you don’t introduce the crud to any open channels (that’s a technical term). I love LED after microneedling bc there’s no risk of cross contamination 💙
But Penn, the active ingredient for DNA repair in the Photozyme Youth Recovery Serum is Arabidopsis Thaliana Extract which, if I am not mistaken, isn't activated by light? It is their Ultra Rich DNA Facial Cream that contains the Photolyase (Anacystis nidulans).
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thank you. I know you are very thorough and I appreciate your work so much. I don't see that listed as an ingredient in the serum on their website. Could that be what they are referring to when they list Plankton Extract?
Hi there. First- you are a rock star! A beacon of light in the dark and dishonest world of skin health content! Second, I currently have an Omnilux LED mask. Considering making a purchase of the Maysama set due to better coverage of neck, around a mouth, and under chin but don’t know if it’s the most effective wavelengths. I have been very pleased with my Omni luxe as far as LED results but I’m considering giving to my daughter and treating myself to an update….. have you shifted to using Maysama based on your last interview with Bev as a top LED product? What is your current top pick for most effective LED technology if budget not the top concern, even if a panel - as this is a long term investment - fav these days as tech is always evolving.
Hi! Ok I have a couple favorites right now- Maysama is one and currentbody series 2 is the other. Clearly that’s not helpful for you so let me give you features of each that might help you decide: Maysama has pulsing light. That is an extremely effective way of delivering LED. I believe all of the masks will eventually have pulsing. Maysama has the proven wavelengths for anti aging and acne. Maysama allows for red only (you can turn off the NIR) Maysama has full coverage over the entire mouth area. Currentbody has an under-chin piece with LEDS (on the mask). Currentbody has an additional wavelength around the eyes and mouth that is cutting edge (not many masks have it) and advanced for “trouble” areas. The currentbody mask is the softest, most comfortable mask I own, they poured medical grade silicone and it shows Currentbody offers a guarantee that the wavelengths are within +- 2 nm (that’s impressively accurate) The currentbody mask has 230+ LEDs (Maysama is in the 100’s…I am not home and can’t remember the exact number, but it’s less). Currentbody uses proven wavelengths - all good- but you cannot turn off the NIR Currentbody has a clip on its controller- a small detail that I love I hope that this helps in some way! Last/ Maysama is $375 and I have a 30% off code CurrentBody is $469 and I have a 10% off code 💙💙
I would love to stop waiting the 15-20 Bev recommends between applying her serum and using LED! I've noticed that you and other experts who have interviewed her do not follow that protocol, and I'm wondering why. It would be great to use LED right away! Thanks, Penn.

Thank you so much! Will LED increase the efficacy of copper peptides? Would you rotate this in during the week?
I was waiting on this knowledge. TY ❤
Challenge for you. Our hands give away our age! Any ideas on their care?? I use the leftover product including tretnoin from my face, but the loss of fat is obvious. Keep in mind I rather do not have invasive procedures as I have to be on antibiotics post a prosthetic joint infection.

What about the copper peptide? ❤ thank you
Thank you Penn!
SO much appreciate these great tips, which I'm definitely going to use!
Thank u for doing this. I had stopped applying stuff before cuz I heard not too. I saw your other videos w Maysama and was wondering about other products. I am going back to using haruharu 2GF Ampoule and others packed w goodness! Woo hoo again big thank you!

Thank you Penn. I use and love CosRX.
What is the minimum you could use an LED panel and get positive affects? I have been using MitoPro for three years.
Wondering about peptide serums with copper?
Thank you for helping all of us! I know you've done LED mask reviews, but I still don't know which one is best for anti-aging benefits. It is such a significant investment and I want to make the right choice as I'm only purchasing one time for years. Any chance you could do a video and rank them in order? I would buy it that day! 😊
Make sure it has lights across the upper lip, most of them don't. Thank you.
What's the actual quality of their red light?Everybody just mentions different lights that all we hear when people compare them
ok...why for the longest time have we been told to use LED without any products?
Because that’s what we were all taught, then we (collective aesthetic community) shared that 😊
Just updating my protocol/education on the subject and passing it on to you 💙

Any thoughts / knowledge on the benefits of using Copper peptides in conjunction with red light therapy for boosted benefits?
You are my go to for all my skincare 💕
Thank you so much for all the hard work you do to make your amazing channel possible!
This video is perfect timing because I’m going to buy an LED panel soon.
Can I use the Bradceuticals Gold Mesenchymal Stem Cell Serum before doing LED?
If so, how long after I put it on should I wait before using the panel?
Thanks for your deep dives, I’ve learned so much. I’m wondering if red light is beneficial without all of the serums.
Absolutely! You can use it on bare skin and get great benefit!
Timeless coenzyme q10 serum? Or timeless matrixyl synthe 6?
Yes I wonder about the q10!
@Penn, another option please for Fade Bright… the alcohol just gets into my eyes 😢
I need another pigment inhibitor without alcohol please, thank you
What about the Cosrx mucin power essence?

Thank you for all the great information. Can a stem cell serum be used with a red light mask?
Penny I use a panel for my face neck and chest, is there a reason you use both a panel and a mask? Thanks
@@Holly.57 yes, I agree! The panel gets everything haha! I’m curious too though to know her reasoning. Hopefully she answers us 🙏🏻
I was wondering if the panel covered everything that the mask would along with the chin and neck that she added to the bundle.
I watch Dr. Samantha Ellis as well and really enjoy her UA-cam videos with that being said perhaps I will try her Prequel Skin serum to use for my mask and LED panel
But my question right now is I have (not sure if you shared) but I currently have NIOD Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist I use before the panel. I also have IsNtree Green Tea Fresh Toner. I would not have a problem with getting rid of them even though they’re almost full if you think hers is by far better
Value your opinion if nothing else I will use these then purchase hers when I’m finished.
Could I use Timeless Synthe6 with my red light?
@ yes!! That’s so good!!
P.S.
Thank you for including niacinamide free options for those of us that react to that ingredient. 😊
You are looking extra good today Penn! Is it just lighting/makeup or do you think it's cumulative effects of all the things you are doing? Anyway thank you for the videos
It’s always a cumulative effect BUT I do use lights. No doubt good lighting helps 💙
I’ve ordered the Maysama SPRAY - I want something quick that I’ll comply with, sometimes I don’t feel like getting my hands sticky as I do my LED on the couch
And Penn’s PENN30 also works with that purchase
Thanks, Penn! Just the info I needed. Needle-less serum? If yes, can I use it on top of Photozyme? What if dark spots are a priority? Big thank you!!!
Thank you again for such another great video. I have watched videos and read people’s comments that said they use castor oil before they use their LED mask or panel. What is your thought on this?
Hi Penn! What’s your favourite LED mask now? Is it still the HigherDose or is it Maysama… or another brand?
I really like the Maysama mask and the currentbody series 2 BUT if anyone owns HigherDose or dr Rajani or omnilux…those are all still very good masks.
I’m just really intrigued by pulsing LED (Maysama) and 1072 wavelength (currentbody) and I love the under-chin with currentbody (and then Maysama has an under chin with their chin to chest….)
Just some great options available now!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE so if you had to get one, what would be the most bang for your buck? At first I was leaning towards a panel, but would you say the mask would be a better option? To be able to cover your chin neck, décolleté.. thank you for all of your wisdom and knowledge you share!
Sachi became so popular. I am curious about it too
I'm currently using my NIOD sdsm mist with my current body mask. Its working well & u get loads for your money too. I need to sachi triphala but i already use 20% azelaic acid cream. How can i incorporate the triphala serum?
omg I didn’t know the photozyme!! If you could only buy one.. Maysama led or current body 2.0?
Hi! Thank you for your wonderful videos. You mentioned we could ask about serums we already have. Do you think Derma E Ultra Hydrating Dewy Skin Serum would be okay to use before LED mask? 💙
Such amazing and helpful info on LED masks . Can you please recommend masks that can be used together with LED
How long do you recommend waiting after applying and before beginning LED?
How long after applying any of the serums and photozyme do you wait before using the LED ?
I barely wait. After talking to Bev I decided that it’s unnecessary to wait and especially when using pulse led I want the product to penetrate with the pulsing 💙
Thank you. What about green tea toner?
Hi Penn, thank you for this great video! I just ordered Maysama atomizer and Isntree TW Real Bifida Ampoule. I'm planning to use these not only during my LED therapy, but also as part of my skincare routine. When would you recommend to use these - AM or PM? Can both products be used together with the tretinoin crème? Can they be used with the vit. C serum?
I’m wondering the same
Thanks Penn!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE yes, that makes sense! I did just order the Maysama gel. Do you prefer the Photozyme with the mask over that one?

Thank you so much for this video, very informative. Can you do a video of how to pick up the best LED mask? There are so many in the market is overwhelming 😮. Thank you 😊
I actually have a video and blog coming on that very soon!
The jovs mask is on sale until October 31, so we need to know if is worth the investment
@@sballantine8127 so maybe try using the water based serums then LED then afterward apply your retrinal/truth treatments? Could that work for you?
Omg! What LED mask do you have on in the video? I use a LED panel at home but I travel every week for work 😔 so I have masks for face, neck and décolleté. My mask hurts my nose so much and leaves an awful red mark. The soft mask you had on looks like heaven!

I consider microneedling and LED to be best friends 💙
LED after microneedling to cap inflammation.

The plankton in photozyme DNA youth recovery is Anacystis Nidulans, I asked before making content, they confirmed with their chemist. 🙂
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thank you. I know you are very thorough and I appreciate your work so much. I don't see that listed as an ingredient in the serum on their website. Could that be what they are referring to when they list Plankton Extract?

They even sent me the sourcing paperwork- it’s really interesting stuff!! 😍
Clearly that’s not helpful for you so let me give you features of each that might help you decide:
Maysama has pulsing light. That is an extremely effective way of delivering LED. I believe all of the masks will eventually have pulsing.
Maysama has the proven wavelengths for anti aging and acne.
Maysama allows for red only (you can turn off the NIR)
Maysama has full coverage over the entire mouth area.
Currentbody has an under-chin piece with LEDS (on the mask).
Currentbody has an additional wavelength around the eyes and mouth that is cutting edge (not many masks have it) and advanced for “trouble” areas.
The currentbody mask is the softest, most comfortable mask I own, they poured medical grade silicone and it shows
Currentbody offers a guarantee that the wavelengths are within +- 2 nm (that’s impressively accurate)
The currentbody mask has 230+ LEDs (Maysama is in the 100’s…I am not home and can’t remember the exact number, but it’s less).
Currentbody uses proven wavelengths - all good- but you cannot turn off the NIR
Currentbody has a clip on its controller- a small detail that I love
I hope that this helps in some way!
Last/
Maysama is $375 and I have a 30% off code
CurrentBody is $469 and I have a 10% off code

And thank you for your kind words!!
I would love to stop waiting the 15-20 Bev recommends between applying her serum and using LED! I've noticed that you and other experts who have interviewed her do not follow that protocol, and I'm wondering why. It would be great to use LED right away! Thanks, Penn.
I'm wondering about this too.
