      The Scientific American study “Concluded that fluoride can subtly alter endocrine function, especially in the thyroid - the gland that produces hormones regulating growth and metabolism.”
      The report also notes that “a series of epidemiological studies in China have associated high fluoride exposures with lower IQ.”
      “Epidemiological studies and tests on lab animals suggest that high fluoride exposure increases the risk of bone fracture, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly and diabetics,” writes Fagin.
      Fagin interviewed Steven Levy, director of the Iowa Fluoride Study which tracked about 700 Iowa children for sixteen years. Nine-year-old “Iowa children who lived in communities where the water was fluoridated were 50 percent more likely to have mild fluorosis… than [nine-year-old] children living in non-fluoridated areas of the state,” writes Fagin.

      It also enlarges the bone and makes them more brittle . it is also in alot of anti depressants for a reason its to make the public more easily manipulated more than to protect teeth people not having teeth is good for business after all. It also affects different races differently having a worse effect on Africans. The type of natural occurring fluoride does have some benefits but whats put in the water and toothpaste is a type of fluorcidic acid thats a byproduct of the mining industry not naturally occurring and labelled as hazardous material to be disposed of correctly . They instead of dispose of it correctly sell it to countries to dump in their water . There is a reason over 90 percent of first world countries have stopped using it in the last couple of decades but if your thought something for so long its difficult to question it . I used to believe the government had everyone's best interests at heart kinda obvious they don't in reality .

    Of COURSE you're not going to mention the downsides of Fluoride. You ARE a Dentist.
    The reason why dentists are obsessed with it is because they know it's detrimental to teeth.
    It may whiten your teeth but it does damage in other ways and it's THAT damage that keeps your job existing.
    Every "Is Fluoride bad and why are Dentists obsessed with it?" video is so robotic, it's creepy AND they never address the problems. There's a reason people are against it (including myself).
    ALL I want is a 100% truthful video about the pros AND Cons of Fluoride from someone who has actually bothered to see all angles.

    Clearly this woman needs to do some deeper research. The CDC themselves approved it many years ago and then later said using more than just a drop is toxic, so if you use it like the commercials show you how to you will definitely have issues, and she didn't mention a single thing about is cryatalizing the pineal gland, creating thyroid problems, and a very significant problem in the development of the brain in children.

    Fluoride accumulates in the pineal gland more than in any other part of the body, and if this is true which it is stated as a fact, think about you as a dentist your job is teeth, the brain is not your study. Now if you advise every single person to use fluoride with the thought that you may be advising those who already dont agree with using fluoride to use fluoride, you very much could be a problem to others health. I thought I may just inform you I find it better if you didn’t input your beliefs on others with the fact that most individuals don’t disagree with fluoride as it is currently.

I'm concerned if it's healthy for my organs. What comes to mind is my brain, my glands, and other organs. Is it healthy for our overall health to be exposed to fluoride? Also, if I spit everything out and rinse does this keep the fluoride from entering into my body or is it absorbed into my body through my mouth anyway? How much difference does the spitting and rinsing make, another words? Thanks again for your time and I do hope to hear back from you.

    I was hoping you would talk more about fluoride-free products. These products wouldn’t be on the market if they do nothing. From what I know (but I’m not an expert), both products with fluoride and fluoride-free products can help remineralizing teeth enamel, but in different ways. Fluoride-free products have an ingredient (I don’t remember the name of it) that products with fluoride don’t have in them.
    I agree that fluoride is important in dental care. But as someone who is very prone to tooth decay, I’m always looking for the most effective remineralizing option.
    I wonder if it would be okay to use a fluoride-free toothpaste, followed by a fluoride rinse? Or if I could alternate between both types of toothpaste? Or maybe if I use fluoride-free toothpaste as a mask? (yeah, I do teeth masks, I’m trying that)

    Flouride is natural, but the flouride in our water is a byproduct Right? Where does it come from? Does it not come from china and we just add it to our drinking water without testing anything?

    • @andythurman3542
      @andythurman3542 2 роки тому

      Sort of, but it's more of a chemical byproduct from industries. The CDC and the WHO were trying to find a way to dispose of it, so they decided to say it's healthy and dump it in our water instead. Also, it's NOT sodium fluoride in our toothpaste. It's hydrofluorosilicic acid.

    • @cjdevries
      @cjdevries 2 роки тому +1

      It's important to consider what type of “fluoride” is actually being added to our water. Dr. Connett says: “If you ask most dentists and ask them what they’re putting in the water, most dentists would say ‘sodium fluoride, pharmaceutical sodium fluoride.’ The same stuff that is in toothpaste.” However, this is not the type of fluoride that is being put into most drinking water in the U.S. “They have absolutely no idea that it’s in nine out of ten cases Hydrofluorosilicic acid (HFSA) [that’s being added to the water]”, says Dr. Robert Carton, former president of the EPA Union. HFSA is the type of fluoride added to water in much of the U.S.A. It is a serious chemical, considered to be a toxic industrial waste fluoride; HFSA is a waste product for the phosphate industry. But what is HFSA? According to Dr. Connett: “for maybe 100 years the phosphate fertilizer industry put out two very poisonous gases into the environment: hydrogen fluoride and silicon tetrafluoride. Eventually they were required to capture those and they did it with a wet spray, water, and that water converts these two very toxic gases into [HFSA] and its this scrubbing liquer which is about 25% strength is put into tanker trucks, driven around the country and added to our drinking water.” Dr. Carton, speaking about HFSA, says: “It’s never purified. It’s not a pharmaceutical grade compound. It’s a mixture of whatever that collects in the stack gases and it contains lots of contaminants; lots of heavy metals.” Brent Foster, of the Oregon Sierra Club, says: “When you’re talking about adding fluoride to drinking water, you’re not just talking about adding fluoridation chemicals. You’re talking about adding all of the industrial waste byproducts that come along with it.”

    Topical hydrogen peroxide is great for mouth sores, but you wouldn't want to drink it. Ditto for fluoride.
    I have some dental fluorosis and I've had a fair number of cavities, too. I'm dubious that it's made my teeth stronger. Fluoride toothpaste should not be used by children, esp. as there are alternatives like calcium phosphates. Fluoride in adults should be a topical treatment only.

  • @groovefretboard

    I switched out to Toms no flouride toothpaste and mouth wash.
    The key to tooth care is clean after every meal .. use a sonic care brush to avoid scrubbing. Floss and water pik plus tongue scrape.
    That’s it! As long as it’s clean after.
    Flouride and whitening and all this extra stuff is totally unnecessary.
    It just puts acidic and harsh chemicals on the teeth to ruin them.
    If you have fillings it will disintegrate them faster.
    It’s led me to root canals and failed fillings.
    Gentle cleaning after each meal is key!
    Flouride is a huge scam.
    Dental flourosis is proof. Flouride can rot your teeth. Yes in high doses but even small amounts it has the same acidic effect just a slower decay.

    For the first time ever, I just bought a toothpaste with no fluoride in it, and to tell the truth, I don't feel my teeth are as well protected. I'll finish what I have now and back to fluoridated toothpaste. Thanks for this video.

    I brush with non-fluoride toothpaste but use mouthwash wit fluoride to keep teeth strong. If I miss too many days rinsing I can notice my teeth getting softer. So I rinse w mouthwash

      Mouthwash is extremely terrible for your teeth. You're not supposed to kill all the bacteria in your mouth, as there are essential amino acids produced by these bacteria and how they interact with the surface of your tongue to help aid in digestion. That's just one of the many risks associated with it.
