No joke, about 7 mins into the video I put my phone down went into the bathroom, washed, deep conditioned, trim, and moisturized my natural hair. Two hours later I'm back.
1. Dont touch your hair too much (playing around) 2. Low manipulation hairstyles ex: wig, protective styles, mini twists (wash and go’s aren’t the best for type4) 3. Deep condition atleast once a week 4. Moisturize hair 5. Trim your ends (if it’s really bad, if your hair comes out on the comb) 6. Avoid tight hairstyles (tight puffs) 7. Dont leave edges alone (put Jamaican oil on edges for example) 8. Dont use a tooth brush for edges 9. AVOID HEAT (blow dryers; try to airdry instead, try to avoid straightening hair; only straighten hair 3 times a year if it’s really needed) 10. Wear scarf or bonet on hair 11. Don’t dye your hair (there are other ways to dye your hair besides from permanent dye)
Wow you must be an expert because these tips are the best I have seen! You dont dissaprove straightening because my hair just on the head needs it or it grows up :(
Ok so please how do I wear a protective style without blow drying or straightening my hair. Because the last time i braided with my hair wet, I regretted
@@allthingsrouba965 honestly, that’s what I do😅 I get out the shower, deep condition , rinse with cold water & braid my hair with oils , keep it in for about a week sometimes two depending on how frizzy they get. But I’m also a SAHM, I don’t go anywhere I literally walk around in baggy clothes & frizzy braids for days till I have to go somewhere lol … why do you say you regretted it?
Side tip: Oil doesn’t moisturize your hair. Oil is meant for the scalp and/or to go on your hair after you moisture with a good moisturizer cream or whatever you use. Oil seals whatever you put it on. So don’t just put oil in your hair or you’ll be sealing in dryness.
My babby hairs don't work for me pretty sure they are contracted from a private company >_> try and tell them what to do and there like "that's not what my boss said."

That moisture for 4c hair is KEY!!! I wasn’t giving my hair the moisture it needed and I wondered why I couldn’t retain length or fullness and now I can’t stop it from growing!
Tasia Wasia put both wild growth oils and olive oil in a bottle together moisturize 2-4 times a week make sure you spray a little water on your scalp BEFORE the oils so it will lock in!
Yes to your own regimen. Washing once a week is not a regimen. Knowing when you should clarify and use protein in key. Your regimen may also change the longer your hair gets
For me, not using gels and focusing on moisturizing rather than definition, helped a lot. Gels build up and dry out my hair faster than usual. My hair might have some frizz but it's moisturized and growing.
@@iesharichardson6368 honestly though! I like the definition but moisture is so much more important. I might try flax seed gel in the future because my hair doesn't like commercial synthetic gels.

Girl! I wish I saw this video when I first going natural! So I transitioned for a year and 2 months with crochet braids, just cutting an inch or si every 6 weeks. If you co wash every day to every other day during the week, wash and goes will not tangle badly even if type 4. It won't even be hard to detangle. Just makes sure to wash your hair regularly, of course, as you were saying.
So true about letting other people do your hair, I get the most length when I'm doing my own. The minute I get lazy and have others do it, here comes the breakage and damage😕

@@chichipatata4994 It depends for certain people. I remember stopping oiling my scalp because a lot of naturals claimed that it clogs your hair and stops growth, but the moment I started again, my hair grew WAY faster than normal.
The tip at 21:51 is the best advice ever! Listen to my girl cause she KNOWS what she is saying ! I never understood the importance of “wrapping” my hair unless I just got it done to maintain a style. At that time I had hair by my neck, but since I started adding my wild growth oil, leave in conditioners, cremes, etc and leaving all that moisture in while I sleep... my hair has grown to my collar bone. Thank you so much 💕💕💕 Much love. Also, when using a satin bonnet, tie a bandana around the edge of it (not too tight) for it to not slide off when you sleep ☺️
i will agree with the trimming your ends will help a lot for growth. i wear a lot of protected hair styles because i am lazy. i had been also putting off trimming my ends for awhile. i was washing my hair getting it ready for some braids i had so much lost hair in the comb, tub and everywhere. it was a lot so i trimmed my hair before i put my braids in. And i moisturized my hair with leave in conditioner and oil every couple of days. after two weeks i took them out but i really could have kept them in for another week or two. and when i wash again my lost hair was a lot less.
Thank God for post notifications 🙏🏾 I’m 6months post big chop (type 4) and I tried a wash and go last week and it was a no go. Sooo I did a protein treatment and put passion twits in my hair. I love your videos, they’ve really helped my natural hair journey! 🥰💕
@@kadeshawalker9882 When you twist your hair the ends will start to look raggedy. It will feel dry, and just different from the rest of the hair. Your hair will start to tangle up more.

If you co wash every day to every other day during the week, wash and goes will not tangle badly even if type 4. It won't even be hard to detangle. Just makes sure to wash your hair regularly, of course, as you were saying.
you look EXTRAVAGANT SIS 😍😍😍😍 your hair is stoopidddddd lit
You're a genius. You just fit my situation. I have locs but I want to transition to just my bare natural hair.

So true about letting other people do your hair, I get the most length when I'm doing my own. The minute I get lazy and have others do it, here comes the breakage and damage😕
Do a why your hair isn't growing video part 1
Tameca Bailey already have one on my channel... UA-cam search that title and add Halfrican Beaute at the end then click search
I felt that when you said doing your own hair girl I have achieved so much length from taking care of my own hair 😍😍😍

Coconut oil and Jamaica black castor oil 💪
Do these help grow hair?
@@justaliahhh7227 there helping me with my hair.
justaliahhh No oil/ product helps to grow your hair, just ensure that you moisturise which is a key in terms of length retention!
@@chichipatata4994 It depends for certain people. I remember stopping oiling my scalp because a lot of naturals claimed that it clogs your hair and stops growth, but the moment I started again, my hair grew WAY faster than normal.
@@fourthlove8745 honestly!!
YES! My hair has grown SO much since I started doing my hair about 2 or 3 years ago.
Girl I’ve been wanting a video on this for a minute now. The way the mane has been FLOURISHING on ig👏🏾go head beautiful😍😍😍
Very good video.
Plus 20mins and still kept my attention.
Very real advice. Not boastful but truthful.
Love it
Isssiiiiii😩I was doing homework.😭It can wait tho.😭😭
Thank God for post notifications 🙏🏾 I’m 6months post big chop (type 4) and I tried a wash and go last week and it was a no go. Sooo I did a protein treatment and put passion twits in my hair. I love your videos, they’ve really helped my natural hair journey! 🥰💕
I actually tried shampooing my hair in twists and it makes my wash day so much easier 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thanks girl 💕
Lashan Wardlaw so happy to hear that!!
Me to. Did it today and it cut my wash day time down by half.
@@IsimemeEdeko how do I really know when to trim my hair?
@@kadeshawalker9882 When you twist your hair the ends will start to look raggedy. It will feel dry, and just different from the rest of the hair. Your hair will start to tangle up more.
Me too!!
Yesss! When your scalp skin is pulling in the middle of your ponytail
Am I the only one hearing “womp womp womp” 😂😂
