    • @xoxarily
      @xoxarily 4 роки тому +57

      @cutei pie
      I’m sorry but there is no actual way to completely get rid of them. Same with spilt ends, they are just always gonna come back or happen.
      You can prevent them tho. Make sure to put oil or grease on your ends, it lubricates them so they’re easier to untangle. Try to keep hair in protective styles like twists, braids, cornrows and buns. I don’t recommend puffs, wash and gos or twist/braid outs often cuz it allows you’re hair to knot up and tangle with each other of its self.
      Keep hair stretched as well, whether you braid it, band it or even low heat blow drying, it keeps your strands elongated so their not shrunken and can easily tangle with each other.
      Even though she said what she said above, I still think you should trim your hair. If I see or encounter a single strand knot, I always cut it out and don’t rip it out bcuz that can cause the end of that strand to split.
      Edit: grammatical corrections

I’m about four months in and what a difference!! No more thin hair. No balding. I discovered I have 4c hair but I’m not complaining. It’s finally thick healthy and growing. I’m just focused on growing longer hair so this video is great. Only wish I had the sense to do it a long time ago! Thanks for sharing. The water tip is very helpful.

      @@NBnNC if your scalp isn't damaged, there is no reason it shouldn't grow. Breakage is the reason why it seems to not grow. As for the healthy thing.....its like saying you can have healthy heat damage. Your curl pattern is literally broken, so all that length is still damaged. If she doesn't care, that's fine. After reading the comments, I feel like it is important to note that while you shouldn't be scissor happy you still shouldn't avoid trims like it is the plague. At a certain point we have to worry about the health of our hair as opposed to length. Your hair may be long, but if the ends of your hair are see-through, thin, jagged, and are making all sorts of W~y-shapes, what's the point? And it isn't that hard to spot single strand knots or split ends either. Just give the hair a blowout and feel the ends of your hair. If they are rough and see through snip,snip. Also, if you have 4c hair, you shouldn't be trimming your hair in it's natural shruken state anyway. If you do that you'll never get an even cut(just speaking from experience). The longer you wait to trim your hair, the more hair you will inevitably need to cut off in the long run.

      What u end up having to cut really ends up being equivalent. It’s no point in blowing it out all the time to check for that. It’s counterproductive since you’re damaging your hair by blowing it out and could just trim when you’re comfortable with the length.

    • @karabothechristlovingafrican

      I agree with you, I have healthy well growing natural hair and it did not grow as beautifully, until I started trimming my ends...If it's making you look like a kitty cat on the surface and you can see the sun through it despite it being really thick - it's not hair sis - it's ends!

      @@Dree03 What u end up cutting off is not the equivalent. How split ends work is that they travel up the hair shaft. One strand of hair can have 1-6 splits up to the root. I have seen naturals with really long hair, but ends that were so see-through they have to cut off half their length. They had to do a whole big chop.

    Thanks Eugenia, I had watched a lot of videos on how to grow hair but I wasn't seeing results but after I came across this particular video two years ago, I started to apply the tips you gave and my hair has never been the same it just keeps growing.

    Soooo many of these tips make so much since but I’ve just never thought about. Especially the water one. I used to wet my hair every other day my senior year of high school and it THRIVED.

    Currently on my transition to get back to natural! So I am taking notes down.... literally got like maybe 1.5 inches of relaxed hair left but now I am comfortable in growing and caring for my hair! Thanks for this info 🙏🏾
