Beautiful!! Thanks for another awesome video. It was perfect, the scenery, your lasagna, you're narrative is exceptional that you should write a book if you haven't already, the music, the animals, your heel clicking, lol. It was nice to see you out enjoying yourselves having a few drinks. Thanks for taking us on this incredible adventure with you. Stay safe and enjoy, from Nova Scotia! 😊❤
Thank you so much 🥹 🙏 So glad you enjoyed this one, it was one of our best weeks on the road, despite the rock missiles! Sending love to the other side of the country! ❤️❤️
Awesome video! Your excitement is obvious to the world, the moose in the last video, the bear, the bison! My actual favorite scene is the lasagna scene, though. Too frigging adorable. Love you two. Keep the videos coming and we need more of the dogs, well, I do anyway! 😀
Thank you lovely! Yep the wildlife excitement is real, we have been waiting sooo long to see moose and bear! 😍😍 But I think bens excitement at the lasagne was higher 😂 xx
Glad you are having a full Canadian Wilderness experience and enjoying it. Before they paved the highway while it was still gravel, people wrapped their cars and RVs with cardboard to avoid all the stone chips. Looking forward to next week’s vid. Thanks for the fabulous and professional product you create.
Thank you 💛 Yep sounds like we haven't really been to northern Canada without a cracked windscreen 😆 Just warming us up for when we make it to the Dalton!
Wow! another wonderful vid, glad you are enjoying your time in Canada, its a different world up there for sure, maybe you should stay and open a windshield business, LOL, you are getting closer to the Artic Circle, Old Crow in the Yukon is very close, but your heading away from that area, Stay Safe, see you next week.
Thanks Richard 🧡 Its like a different planet, absolutely incredible. Hahah don’t think we’ve ever seen so many windshield repair companies in one small area before, definitely big business 😂😳
My family in Alberta buy their cars with stone chips already in their windshields!!! If it's a new car, they have a chip within the week!! They very rarely get them fixed and if they do, there's a repair tent on every corner in Calgary! Hope you get to experience the Northern Lights! Glad you're seeing all of the wildlife!
Hahah love this 😆 Honestly all the Canadians in the comments have really put our mind at ease. Sounds like it's just part of the Northern Canadian experience! We've been keeping an eye out for the northern lights but haven't had much luck with cloud cover. We remain optimistic though, despite the longer and longer days 🙈 💛
OH- MY GOD! This video got me so exited: the landscapes (very nice drone shots by the way), the warm and sunny days followed by snowing days of spring, the cute cute fox family... Wow! I'm speechless. I can't wait to watch the next videos!

Sending oxox's to you and scratches behind the ears for the boys. Wishing you safe travels and more wonders as the miles go by.❣
So glad you felt the magic of this week too Ellen! The hot springs were a DREAM. After all the dreary snow and cold, to soak in crystal blue waters was life-affirming! 😂 Hahah know exactly what you mean about the bison feet! They're so dainty compared to their huge bodies. I said to Ben they look like they skipped leg day at the gym. Hope all is good with you and you're fully enjoying the warmth and colour of Spring over on the east coast. Sending love from very far north! xx 💕
@@OverlandingSophia Years ago when I was searching for a new dog I would explain to friends that I wanted one that wore 'sneakers instead of high heels' 😂 more like mops on the feet. Your two furry intelligent four-legged love bugs wear 'high heels'🤣Don't get me wrong, I love both 💓!!! (Happy I don'y have to wear heels anymore - ouch, unless invited to go to dinner with the only walking involved is from car to restaurant and back to car. Sexy but pain free🤪). Spring is here but coming along slowly. Happy about that. Bug free for a little bit longer! Lots of love oxox💖💖 🍖🍖
Thanks Russell, the landscape is really doing all the work for me here 😆 And yeah, wildlife bonanza! Makes a change after the elusive moose of Nova Scotia 💛
Compliments on "the art of the drone." You deploy it with great effectiveness. Trailing the van whilst underway as well as you do is quite impressive. Urge you again to give The Cremation of Sam McGee a quick read. Not Shakespearian, but good fun and speaks to the Yukon. Safe travels!
I just love getting caught up with your weekly adventures! Come home from work on Sunday night, put the kettle on, and immerse myself in all the splendor. Your drone footage combined with the background music is spot on. Thanks so much for the laugh. The clicking of heels was hilarious.🤣🤣🤣
Seriously don't worry about the windscreen ("windshield" in Canada), this is really just a typical Canadian experience. The stone chips can be repaired for $30-50 or you can get a DIY kit for much less. The thing to know is that the cold will cause the chip to turn into one or more cracks with the temperature change. Rural people will get some chips all summer and then repair them before the temperature drops in the fall. Unless you have a lot of spiderweb cracks all through it, you've no real worry. Start noticing local people's windscreens and you'll see it's not uncommon to leave it a while.
Really appreciate this Brent, you and other Canadians in the comments have really put our minds at ease. And also seeing all the other cracked windshields in Whitehorse has helped! 😂 We have two repair kits with us so we can always use that. In the meantime, we'll do as the Canadians do and keep on trucking 😃
Love your response to the grandeur of the Canadian wilderness. Glad you got to see the bison near Watson Lake and a bear too. My husband and brother-in-law drove all the way from Nova Scotia to Whitehorse a few years ago and saw the bison as well. Whitehorse is a cool city with lots to see and do. Sorry you will miss Dawson City --the home of the Klondike Gold Rush. We will be there this August before we drive the Dempster Highway all the way to the Arctic Ocean at Tuk. As for your windscreen -- par for the course unfortunately. The Yukon is special to us because our two daughters live in Whitehorse. You need more time to explore this vast territory!
Thanks Cathy, feel like each week the scenery just gets more intense and more majestic! Absolutely loved Whitehorse, we'll be back this way for a little while on our way south so hoping to see a little more then as the weather should have warmed up enough to get out and explore off the main highway a little. Would have loved the chance to go to Dawson City.. might have to save that for our big Canadian road trip one day 💕
Yes, amazing scenery, loved your camera shots and the music. I'm making notes of places to see the next time I get up there. There's just so much to do when you are traveling this route. Baby bison, baby foxes....too cute! I think River would have liked some of that Poutine, she was giving it the eye. Was that your "mini pub crawl"? A UA-cam that recently started by new van dweller, James, in the UK, is By The Curb, you'd enjoy it. James and his girlfriend Helen do pub crawls as well as hiking and other things and they are so funny. I hope your windshield hangs on for a bit longer. We were lucky, only one crack down the middle and never got another one. Can't wait to see you in Alaska next week. Safe travels!🥰
Thanks Adele, haha River and Scout are always eyeing up the food. But Ben is the softie with scraps 😅 Not seen them but will check them out! Thank you 🧡
Yesss fab music and drone shots especially. I luv when content creators just let music and scenery roll without feeling need to talk all the time. They are 'fabbbest' cple too.
Wow! Amazing country that most Canadians will never get to visit, especially those of us on the East coast. Thank you for taking us all along for the ride and for educating us, too! Man, we live in a beautiful country! I look forward to your posts each week. Safe travels and I hope your windshield holds up until you can get it replaced. All the best to you and your dear pups from Nova Scotia!
You really do live in a beautiful country!! The Yukon kept getting better and better, just when you thought you'd passed by the most insane scenery, even more emerges! Wait until you see the Kluane mountains this week 😍 Sending love from the west side to NS! xx 💕
We had a pretty crazy week eh! 😅 Couldn't believe we saw bear and bison right after each other! So happy! As the mountains get bigger, so do the rock missiles 😂 So happy you're enjoying the videos 💛 xx
@@OverlandingSophia It sounds like you have picked up a little Canadian speak along your travels eh :) They always include that in Canadian mentions. And you had Poutine! We just had a poutine festival in Ottawa. It is hard to understand why poutine is not practically everywhere it is so yummy and so loved. I guess it is Canadian cuisine. From Quebec really.
That was an incredible video. The views are spectacular. You got some amazing shots and once again your drone footage was out of this world. Stay safe guys and enjoy. Cheers 🥂😘🥂
A trick that works, but alas not always: put your windscreen wipers on, and press the palm of your hand against the windscreen when seeing a truck and passing it . It can help lower the force of the impacts of gravels. Safe travel!
@@OverlandingSophiaplease don’t do that, on the off chance the rock hits where your hand is; the injury could be nasty. Even if the rock just chips the window the percussive shock won’t be fun.
@@OverlandingSophia 😜😉If they are so numerous then it will be a herculean task! And I have never cut myself in more than 30 years of African corrugated tracks trying to save my windscreens ;-)!
@@OverlandingSophia You will have to stretch over to the passenger side of the windscreen where the windscreen is most likely to be hit. Good luck not careening off the highway while you are doing that, ha, ha! It's pea gravel season on the Alaska Highway. All the pea gravel laid down on the ice in the winter is awaiting vanlifers windshields to molest. There is no way to stop it. Nobody in Yukon or Alaska replaces their windscreen at this time of the year. The cracks and chips will add character to your windscreen. Unless a huge rock goes right through your windscreen so the rain can get in there's nothing to worry about.
Having a crack in your windscreen is so normal here - we drive with them for years because as soon as you replace it you’ll get a rock - as you discovered. It’s a badge of honour. By the way where do you keep all your winter clothes in the van? I love seeing all the places I’ve heard about all the years I’ve lived here, such as Whitehorse
Haha love this. Honestly everyone has made us realise how normal this is and we think we've probably been over-reacting to them 😂 Can't do the Alaska Highway without a cracked windscreen, can we?! We store our winter clothes in our cupboards, our coats we hang on the front seats when we're inside the van. Can't tell you how excited we are to get the summer clothes out though! 🌞
Hola👋from New Mexico 🌵🌶️...😮 oh no another ding in the windshield. Ok total dings 8. Co congratulations on your first bear sighting also love the hot springs and the foxes and the Bisons. Well actually the whole video. Thanks for sharing. Love set your way❤
I live just outside of Dawson City, and you can see why I do - the wilderness, and the scenery. We treat distances differently up here though. When I last drove south on holiday, I went from Whitehorse, to Toad River in a single day, and then Chetwynd the next day. I have gone Dawson-Whitehorse, and back in a single day, and lots of people up here do that. I HIGHLY recommend a trip up the Dempster. It is one of the great drives of the world. And, it is all gravel, so your window WILL get chipped! That is a normal thing up here. :)
You're making me want to travel more in my own country! I've lived for 68 years in Canada and have yet to see a bear in the wild, not to mention bison!! Enjoy!! 🙏❤❤❤
Hi guys... Loretta here from the Annapolis valley nova Scotia....this was a favorite for me ...I'm so happy for you guys to see some wildlife in it's natural environment...glad you got out for a bit...I just loved it all...be safe.cheers
We did this same drive last year! It's amazing to see the same scenery but in a different season. The views are absolutely amazing. You're going to love Kluane! Safe travels.
Isn't it incredible! Hoping to see Kluane more on our way back south when more has opened up in the spring. But, we just parked south of the Kluane mountains and OMG. Never seen anything like it!
What an epic drive through western Canada 🇨🇦 ! Glad you finally got to see some wildlife 🦬🐻🦊! I almost burst into song to sing O Canada 😂. Safe travels and hope that windscreen holds up 🤞🤞. Not gonna make a wager on it because I don’t want to jinx you 😜. ps Pats for River and Scout. Such good pups 🥰❤️
Right when you think the scenery can't get any better it does. It's really hard for us in this country to imagine how much uninhabited land there is. I'm so pleased you saw the Bison and the bear, how cool was that. I love them just walking casually along the road, like the sheep do here, just a bit bigger 😂 Really looking forward to Alaska, watch out for Bigfoot 😊. Stay safe love Sue and Bryn xx
Yes! When I said back in Utah our tiny English brains were blown away by the scenery… that still holds! It’s hard to comprehend the scale of it all sometimes. And then I get the drone up and get a birds eye view of the wilderness and it’s even more vast than we thought. The bison were so cool, they are like badass cows 🦬 love them! Hope you’re doing well Sue, sending love and belly rubs to Bryn xx
So happy for you guys! Great video!! Robin and I went back up to Luray, VA with the van. Nice trip for the weekend (After coming back fro N. Ireland last week). xxx/ooo
Hey guys! ❤ just catching up after a busy week arriving back in Plymouth, as if you found a Plymouth sign amongst all those signs, that was pretty epic 😊 the scenery is looking unbelievable and those fox's were SO cute. What a jam packed vlog full of awesomeness 😊 glad you had a great time letting your hair down and your first bear encounter as been from afar in the safety of Sophia 😅😅🙃🙃
What a beautiful experience. I spent 19 days traveling through BC this summer and it was stunning. Hopefully no more windscreen cracks/chips but I will say two on your trip ahead.
As one of those truck drivers you meet on the highway, our windshields get smashed regularly, too. Not much you can do. The main hazard is your glass in your eyes- good idea to wear safety glasses or shades when running up North. The worst time of year is now because the all gravel from winter hasn’t been cleaned up /blown off the road yet.
We did wonder whether you guys get smashed too! Since reaching Whitehorse we’ve seen so many cracked windscreens, seems like we’ve not driven the ALCAN if we don’t get at least one 😂🙏
…three min in and I have a vision of you both in your 90’s reliving this trip on the AK hywy to friends and family as they politely listen to the world trekkers…music is especially on point as per usual…k back to watching the gorgeousness…🙌🏼🤍
Awww...you saw our downtown Whitehorse fox family!! Whitehorse has so many urban foxes! That very same Daddy fox sat on our car roof for awhile a few days ago when I stopped to photograph them. #foxesofwhitehorse
Wow, absolutely beautiful. You have been so lucky to see Bison, bear and foxes in the wild. What an adventure. It's amazing how the laws work in different country's, because in Australia, putting a sticker on any sign post is considered graffiti and you would be fined. Our motto is leave nothing behind when travelling. Safe travels😊
We feel so lucky, especially to see them all so close together! It was like a wildlife bonanza! Ah we personally love the stickers on sign posts. You aren't defacing nature in any way, and I just look at them all wondering what incredible adventures are behind each one. But also got to hand to to Australia for maintaining respect for things like that too 💛
Love discovering treasure spots in North America through your eyes!! As a well travelled Californian I must say U2 are North American travel masters 🏅🏅 💗💗
@@OverlandingSophia oh that'll be wonderful. I'll find out even more magical places in California because of both of your fantastic instincts for treasure finding. @@OverlandingSophia part 2.. hehe.. the coast of Orange county and north San Diego coast and then the whole San Diego area.. few vanlifers have taken us on a tour of that wonderful city 🌞🌞 Thank you !!
Just Wow. So much Awesome content guys haha. First yeah I'm with Ben. That drive at the start does match previous drives. So beautiful to see bison and bison bison oh a black bear. Awesome. Food Sex. Chips Cheese and Gravy. South of England think I'm nuts talking about it
Hahah cheese, chips and gravy is the bomb! Here the have it with extra chunks of cheese and oh my it is divine 🤤 Southerners don't know what they're missing!

Honestly it made our week! And such a beautiful one too! We saw our moose last week but only briefly as she hid in the trees so need to see a big fella in all his glory 😅🙌
@@OverlandingSophia Sooo glad cuz i havvve sent yaz the *moosey and bison vibes* from way over here upon shores of Salish Sea😆 Glad you 'both' feel like a "new woman" after hot soak, hehe. Question... Are you giving us mere minions an opportunity for meet up of sorts in Vancouver? Uhhh we have lots of Cadbury chocolate here... ' jus sayin'
Great views thankyou. Modern windshields are made to not shatter so long as you can see out of it you're fine. I lived with a cracked windshield for 2 years and I only replaced it when it had many cracks and the glare of the sun off so many cracks started to get annoying.
Wow!!! I have seen mannnnnnny bears in my life but NEVER Bison! That was so cool! I am sure others have already told you but just in case, if you get a chance, visit the Carcross Desert (Yukon). It is known as "the smallest desert in the world" - and it's incredible! Truly the softest, spectactual sand dunes... in the YUKON! It was really cool :) I think you both would get a real kick out of it.
They are so majestic! And so beautiful, their eyes look straight at you 💛 And we're planning on going to Skagway so should pass straight through Carcross! xx
Crossing the Australian outback the “roadtrains” (massively long transport trucks) would fling rocks … we would slow down and using both hands of passenger and one hand of driver we would brace against the windshield … not 100% but did stabilize the windshield enough that we never got more than a tiny chip … worth a try! Loving your trip!
A few people have mentioned this! I've tried it but no stones are kicking up again yet, weather has dried up but we have yet to do the Dalton. So no more cracks, just lots of fingerprints on the windscreen 😂
All four of your faces with the bear sighting! 👀😲😃😃 Wow, and it was close, too! Oh, poutine!!! 🤤🤤🤤 Sorry to hear your bad luck with your windscreen! Hopefully the two strikes you've had are all that will happen. 🤞😬🤞
Comment 2 haha. Those foxes were beautiful. Imagine that back in the UK. Never happen 😢 Definitely agree about windscreen. Keep going. This journey is getting more and more epic. Think I say that every week haha. OK its bloody awesome, breathtaking. Now wait till next week. Safe Travels Both. Love and Big Hugs ❤

Not being critical, just an observation... your vehicle doesn't appear to have mud flaps, which means you will also be throwing mud/rocks/ice occasionally, fyi mud flaps are required by law in some jurisdictions you are driving through
Not at all, you’re absolutely right! We underestimated the amount of winter driving we’d be doing on our route north. In hindsight they might have been a good idea 🫠
@@OverlandingSophiaIt can be very bleak, but you seen many animals, spring weather is following close behind you though, the transition from winter to summer in the arctic is about one week
The wildlife never let's you down. River was looking very intense at the 🐻. Can't believe, another Crack in tge windshield 😢. Too bad there wasn't see through bubble wrap.😊 It sure is quite the place. That lasagna looked delicious, I never made it in a bunt pan before, must try it someday. Enjoying the journey with you guys. Oh Chesna, best to do tge ankle click before the 🍹 😂. Stay safe
Haha yeah River had no idea what to make of the bear! So happy they behaved themselves and didn't bark. The little pan for the lasagne is our oven top stove, we don't have an oven so use this one from Omnia. Have to get creative with things sometimes but it works out most of the time! Hehe lucky I didn't break my ankle 😂 🍹 xx
You guys are having an awesome trip up there! Love it. Love seeing all the animals. The opening footage was epic. I am also a big fan of Cadbury mini eggs lol! Yes, I think poutin is a thing down south as well? I have yet to try it, looks super comforting. Absolutely love seeing all your trips with your doggies. You inspire me to head out more in my van with my Ziggy and Stardust pups.❤
Amazing guys! It just gets better and better. "I feel like a new woman too" haha. Have you tried Whittaker's chocolate Chesca? I used to love Cadbury's until they changed the recipe/ingredients and it's never been the same. But think you'd love Whittaker's made in Porirua, NZ. One day I'll send you some to try.
The further north you go the more often you feel like you’re the only people left on the planet. On 5e Dempster I appreciated the warnings posted about bears around campgrounds but I became convinced that the landscape was actually more dangerous than the wildlife. I knew that if I wandered from the road even a little bit in any direction I’d be a goner……I imagine that’s how Tombstone got it’s name….the beaten path was where we stayed!! I❤️ the north and the eccentrics that live there.
It really does feel like that sometimes! Totally get what you mean about the landscape being more dangerous. When I think of the Alaskan wilderness it's intimidating how immense it is! Can't imagine what it's going to feel like on the Dalton highway, miles from anywhere 🤯 Would love to do the Dempster one day too 💛 xx
Hey Guys, bit late today, just got back from my weekend away making Videos for my new channel! That’s a nice stopover to begin with! The scenery gets better and better doesn’t it? Bison 🦬 look so majestic! Ooh, I love lasagna, if only there was smell o vision! I remember the signpost forest from other UA-camrs, and it’s amazing!! Oh wow! Chips cheese and Gravy! I need so quickly drive over and have some 😂😂. I think you’ll definitely have another couple of stone chips by the time you’ll get back. It’s unfortunately inevitable for the area I think but I’m happy it wasn’t like the last one! Cracking visit to the Yukon then. Ah the fox 🦊 family are so cool! Having a drink was just the ticket then! Anyway enjoy every minute! X
Oo we will check them out! The sign post forest was so cool, and amazing to see a sign from Gloucester there! Ah thank you so much, so glad you're enjoying the videos! 💛
Would have loved the chance to go to Dawson City.. might have to save that for our big Canadian road trip one day 💕
Scenery has been just stunning. Gorgeous videos guys😊😊
Isn't it just, and it just keeps getting more and more insane the further north we go 💛
The opening shots & music were gorgeous! Great film.
Thank you so much 💛 xx
You two are so brave. ❤ to all of you. Enjoy your trip. 😊
Thank you, we don't feel brave, just on a big adventure 😃 Sending love to you 💛 xx
Wait until you see the Kluane mountains this week 😍 Sending love from the west side to NS! xx 💕
More heavenly mountain views! Definitely similar in that way, yet unique and awe-inspiring in their own right. The Bison, the bear and the fox family
Absolutely brilliant. So loving your travels though the wilderness of Canada. The views and drone shots are epic.
Thanks so much Ian, it's a mind blowing landscape to travel through!
Wow! The views (and cocktails 😁) make the windscreen worth it.
LOVED seeing the bison and the bear. Totally amazing 💕💜xxx
They do indeed! We'll take 10 cracks if we get to see things like this. Although, don't want to jinx it now 😂 💕 xx
the coolest video not the snow love it thanks for it
Hehe thanks Henk 🧡
That was an incredible video. The views are spectacular. You got some amazing shots and once again your drone footage was out of this world. Stay safe guys and enjoy. Cheers 🥂😘🥂
Thank you so much 🥹 So happy to hear you enjoyed the video 💛 Sending love xx
A trick that works, but alas not always: put your windscreen wipers on, and press the palm of your hand against the windscreen when seeing a truck and passing it . It can help lower the force of the impacts of gravels. Safe travel!
That’s going to be one hell of an arm workout for me with the number of lorries going past 😂💪
Putting the heat on the front windshield accelerates the bullseye cracks crawling across the glass.
Love set your way❤
Haha I think most people are guessing between 5-10 chips. Let’s see! 😳 Sending love to one of our favourite States 😍🧡
Beautiful drone shots and great to see the wonderful wildlife too ❤
Thanks Jane, made our week to see all the wildlife! The foxes were just too cute 🦊
You're making me want to travel more in my own country! I've lived for 68 years in Canada and have yet to see a bear in the wild, not to mention bison!! Enjoy!! 🙏❤❤❤
Hope you get to see both of them one day Linda! You have some magnificent wildlife here in Canada! 💛
I remember about 20 years ago visiting Ireland when I took a wrong turn and mail
Hi guys... Loretta here from the Annapolis valley nova Scotia....this was a favorite for me ...I'm so happy for you guys to see some wildlife in it's natural environment...glad you got out for a bit...I just loved it all...be safe.cheers
Thanks Loretta, we were so happy we finally saw some real wildlife! Especially after the elusive moose of Nova Scotia 😆 💛
Looks absolutely incredible guys, so so so stunning. The drone shots are dreamy. I want to go to Alaska sooo much now ❤
Thanks guys 🥰 Scenery here is next level, and we're not even in Alaska yet!
anther lovely video i enjoyed
So happy to hear this, thanks Bob 🧡
We did this same drive last year! It's amazing to see the same scenery but in a different season. The views are absolutely amazing. You're going to love Kluane! Safe travels.
Isn't it incredible! Hoping to see Kluane more on our way back south when more has opened up in the spring. But, we just parked south of the Kluane mountains and OMG. Never seen anything like it!
Aw what adorable kits!!!
They were so damn cute! 🦊
Thanks Saskia! The wildlife was putting on a show this week, makes every crack and chip worthwhile. Just hoping for no more 😂🧡🙏
Right when you think the scenery can't get any better it does.
Ireland last week). xxx/ooo
Amazing! How is the new van holding up?! 💕
fabulous video
stunning views
" *This.Scenery.Is.On.Drugs* "
Epic description.
Haha it really is! 🤯
GR8 VID ~ LOVED ❤ IT !!!
Wow so cool with att the animales that you have seen and all that amazing senery! Keep up the Nice work !
Thank you Erik! The scenery here is incredible 💛
FABULOUS VLOG. STAY SAFE 💖
Thank you! 🥰 xx
…three min in and I have a vision of you both in your 90’s reliving this trip on the AK hywy to friends and family as they politely listen to the world trekkers…music is especially on point as per usual…k back to watching the gorgeousness…🙌🏼🤍
😂 Thank you lovely, memories to last a lifetime that's for sure 💛
Love following you.. another great video
Thank you, so pleased you enjoyed it 🥰
Looks fun but cold too. :)
Awww...you saw our downtown Whitehorse fox family!! Whitehorse has so many urban foxes! That very same Daddy fox sat on our car roof for awhile a few days ago when I stopped to photograph them. #foxesofwhitehorse
Oh that's awesome! We fell in love with them, and their little babies ❤️ So amazing. Hope they don't tear down that building! 🦊
Spectacular Scenery
But also got to hand to to Australia for maintaining respect for things like that too 💛
You can also put glue in the smaller cracks to prevent them from cracking more. Good luck!!
Love discovering treasure spots in North America through your eyes!! As a well travelled Californian I must say U2 are North American travel masters 🏅🏅 💗💗
Ah there's still SO much we have yet to see! You could spend a lifetime exploring the US and Canada. Can't wait to hit California in the summer 🤩
@@OverlandingSophia oh that'll be wonderful. I'll find out even more magical places in California because of both of your fantastic instincts for treasure finding. I'm sure you would like the northern part of California and of course Lake Tahoe if you can and Carmel/Big Sur .. Yosemite if not too crowded is sublime .. entertainment capital of the world LA ..
What an episode! ❤
💛 💛
You will love Kluane National Park. You lucked out having to go that way. Safe travels.
Most of it is still closed for the winter but we’re hoping it’s opened again when we pass by again on our way south. It looks absolutely incredible 👀
💜
I’m really enjoying your enjoyment ✨ and a cocktail stopover is class. Apart from the hangover 🤕 😁.
❤❤
Thank you lovely, a little cocktail break is a must! Even with the hangover 😆 💛
Hi to you guys. As always, great video. I'm glad you're doing well. Cocktails are periodically useful for the body)))
Haha they are indeed, an essential for happiness 😃 🍹
double like. Thanks for this.
I’m so happy you guys got to see a bear 🐻!!!!
Fingers crossed for you that you will see a moose on your journey North 🤞🏻
Thanks for the lovely video as always.
Safe travels ❤
Honestly it made our week! And such a beautiful one too! We saw our moose last week but only briefly as she hid in the trees so need to see a big fella in all his glory 😅🙌
@@OverlandingSophia Sooo glad cuz i havvve sent yaz the *moosey and bison vibes* from way over here upon shores of Salish Sea😆
Glad you 'both' feel like a "new woman" after hot soak, hehe.
Question... Are you giving us mere minions an opportunity for meet up of sorts in Vancouver? Uhhh we have lots of Cadbury chocolate here... ' jus sayin'
@@OverlandingSophia p.s. the doggos were SO good not barking etc at wildlife
Great views thankyou. Modern windshields are made to not shatter so long as you can see out of it you're fine. I lived with a cracked windshield for 2 years and I only replaced it when it had many cracks and the glare of the sun off so many cracks started to get annoying.
Hahaha love this 😂 👌
Just Bloody Awesome 🚐💨❤
Thanks Ian 🥰
That taillight "fixed" moment 🤣 So true #vanlife
That be how it is 😂 💥
And so beautiful, their eyes look straight at you 💛 And we're planning on going to Skagway so should pass straight through Carcross! xx
You could say youre having a cracking drive.
Haha absolutely, having a smashing time 😃
Crossing the Australian outback the “roadtrains” (massively long transport trucks) would fling rocks … we would slow down and using both hands of passenger and one hand of driver we would brace against the windshield … not 100% but did stabilize the windshield enough that we never got more than a tiny chip … worth a try! Loving your trip!
A few people have mentioned this! I've tried it but no stones are kicking up again yet, weather has dried up but we have yet to do the Dalton. So no more cracks, just lots of fingerprints on the windscreen 😂
What a week. Chesca you should do a cookbook for van life. 💕for River and Scout
Maybe one day 🥰 xx
another 3 cracks by the end be safe and enjoy many thanks for all the videos
Our favourite guess because it’s the least 😂 🧡
Happy Sunday
Love the caption of road trip to Alaska
Plus, I love Chelsea swimsuit
Ah thank you Charlene! Not often I get to wear it at the moment 😂
@@OverlandingSophia but it is so cute on swimsuit
Welcome to Crackada lol love your journey
Beautiful scenery. The puppers were so intense at seeing wild bison.
Please tell me the Dirty Northern had Guinness on tap.
They had no idea what to make of these new furry animals 😂 As for the Guinness, we have no idea. Too busy working our way down the cocktail list 🙈
great video stay safe, best wishes from NS :)
Thanks so much Nikki, hope you're all well! 💛
All four of your faces with the bear sighting! 👀😲😃😃 Wow, and it was close, too!
Oh, poutine!!! 🤤🤤🤤
Sorry to hear your bad luck with your windscreen! Hopefully the two strikes you've had are all that will happen. 🤞😬🤞
Hahah we were so happy to see the bear! What a beauty too 😍 The poutine was divine, them cheese curds... oh my!! 🤤
Weren't they beautiful! Apparently they've been in that little shed for 4 or 5 years. Hope the town never take it down 💔 🦊 Can't believe we're almost at Alaska, just madness. Thanks for sharing this trip with us Asa, sending big hugs and love 💕
Remember to use touch-up paint for the stone chips on your bonnet and the panel above the windscreen to avoid rust spots.
Oh yes! She’s getting a FULL overhaul when we get back to Vancouver, she’s going to need some TLC ✨
Beautiful 🤩👍💙❤️
Fantastic video. I'd say between 5 - 10 more cracks before Vancouver, just sayin. 😉Be safe guys!
Hahah keeping your options open there 😂
@@OverlandingSophia Yep, as any good Nova Scotian would haha 😉
wonderful
Thanks so much lovely, Cadbury mini eggs are the bomb! And you have the BEST name for your pups! 🤩 Give them some belly rubs from us 🐾 💕
@@OverlandingSophia thank you so much! We are Bowie fans 🤩 Waving Hello to you from a still cold Chicago 🤗
As you approach the Alaskan Highway they say “choose your rut, you’ll be in it for awhile!”
😂😂 love it!
Hey Guys, bit late today, just got back from my weekend away making Videos for my new channel! That’s a nice stopover to begin with! The scenery gets better and better doesn’t it? Muncho lake has a great view! The snowy weather is picturesque. Hot Springs, now that’s a good idea! Agree with the dairy milk being the best and happy that Ben feels like a new woman too 😂..
And we're taking the Plymouth one too 😆 Yep sounds like this won't be the last crack, but all the Canadians commenting saying people drive with it like it all winter and get new windscreens in the summer are putting our mind at ease! Sounds like we haven't done a Canadian road trip if we haven't got a crack! Smashing start eh 😂 Sending love, hope you're all good xx
@@OverlandingSophia yeah I saved the video for father too and we're all good. Temperature here now is in the young double digits. Sending love back from Devon x
I'm speechless ❤❤

@@OverlandingSophia Stay safe and I hope for no more cracked windshields. 💖
That bear obviously just came out of it's winter nap. It's a bit thin but it will get bigger.
We thought that too! Fresh out of his den and enjoying his breakfast for the year 😋
23:05 Fox babies are called kits. But group of kittens are a kindle, while a gathering of cats are a clowder. Young squirrels are kits or pups. Young porcupines are porcupettes, a group is called a prickle. A bunch of squirrels are a scurry. A baby opossum is a joey. Who names these? :)
Hahah I have no idea but porcupettes is now my favourite word?!?!
I live about 20 mins from Mooseland, Nova Scotia !! Awesome.
