We're Chesca and Ben, and with our two pups River & Scout (🐶 🐶 ) we live and travel full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent the past 2 years road tripping as much of Europe as we could, from the wild coasts of Portugal to the Syrian border in Turkey, tackling lockdowns and a van re-build along the way. But now, we're feeling like a new challenge. In the summer of 2022, we'll be shipping our van from the UK to Canada, on a mission to drive her all the way to Argentina!

The pups mat gave been from the rescue center just up the road from the campsite.
A lot of people adopt puppy's when they stay there
We thought that too but they had bad worms which we treated them for. We also had bad news about Shadow after we edited this video. She has distemper so is unlikely to survive, and we think that might be why Gremlin disappeared. So very sad and heartbreaking 😔

Great scenery ! I only visited Mexico one time and that was Tijuana , tourist trap and pretty grungy back in the 70's .
From what we saw of driving through TJ, pretty grungy is an understatement! 😆

One constant I've noticed with people experiencing the "real" Mexico is that if one isn't careful time just stops. Hard to leave a place when all your wants &needs are met.
Gremlin is an adorable pup. He probably found some humans to charm his way into their lives and he's living a life of doggy luxury.

Yep, Mexico has these places that are complete bubbles. Very easy to get stuck in them and let time pass you by! Haha also knew you had to get the 3 Amigos reference. I, of course, have never watched it 😆 xx

So glad to have you back and loved this video from beginning to end and of course Shadow and Gremlin were sooooo cute. I had visions of you travelling with 4 pups. ❤ 😅 Those temperatures sounded good after going through -19 C windchill factor very recently and then followed by 12 inches/30 cm of snow on the ground in coastal BC. 😃 Very unusual for this area.

when you get to Panama I'm told you have to try Sancocho.
Unfortunately we won’t be able to drive to Panama as Costa Rica and Nicaragua have a van on RHD vehicles like ours! So we will be shipping to Colombia from Veracruz in Mexico 🙏

So many horns or road rage.. just driving over the central reservation is funny! 🤣.. what a view driving along the windy road.. sleep in Spanish like dolmio 😂.. an interesting toll.. always happy to help the locals.. a fiesta(small car) ciesta is better 💤.. the temperature back here has been -6 for the last week.. 🥶.. “Bee rolled” 😂.. cup of beans 🫘 to start your day 👍.. yeah nobody likes an earthquake for breakfast! No.. not having a map! 🗺️ lots of drawing you then! How is Sophia dealing with the Mexican 🇲🇽 roads? Blue skies, beach 🏖️ looks! Do you guys feel safe Boondocking? For example in remote un controlled places?
Not in all parts of Mexico but up in Jalisco and down here in Oaxaca, absolutely. It’s just quite difficult to find wild camps here. There isn’t the wilderness culture here that you find in the US and Canada.
