Marriage is a good thing, but modern society is stacked against a good marriage. So if you choose to get married, particularly as a man, you are competing with all the societal forces that tell your spouse it's okay to leave you as soon as they're unhappy, and they can take half your crap on their way out the door. Thinking it's not worth the risk is a valid conclusion to make.

I think that is why you must date with intention and purpose. Find out if you have the same values cus that will be there whether you’re happy in the moment or not. Don’t focus on the intimacy. Cus once you find the right person you will have that for the rest of your life.

I don't think it's valid. It's lazy, and it assumes that 99% of women would do that, which makes marriage more like a lottery. That simply isn't true about women. Is the institution corrupted? sure. But why place that blame solely on a handful of viral dumb women? Plenty of great women out there like Matt said, who are ready and willing to take on the challenge of marriage. Plenty of great women out there who, in the tragic case of divorce, are not total maniacal gold diggers, and would make reasonable the process. The invalidity arises at the broad assumption, which is overwhelmingly false.

Guys from my generation are looking for women in the wrong places. There are over a dozen single women between 25-35 at my church that want to be married and all are conservatives. There are barely any single guys at my church. Single guys don’t seem to stick around very long.
Look for good women in places where good women are. Marriage originated as a religious and holy institution founded by God. I found my wife at church.

I don't think the answer is just to give up on marriage. Modern society is stacked against God's Word, the Church, and Christian values, yet we keep fighting for those, we don't just give up our faith. If we give up marriage, we let the world win. They are trying to destroy the nuclear family and are succeeding.

I think you have to find the right person. Marriage #1, It was a disaster and I was the high earner, he took everything. Started over, new hubby helped me get my second degree, we enjoy the same hobbies and we have shut everyone out of our relationship. No outside interference.

Its one thing to not agree with the solution of the Red Pill, but until you actually provide an alternative solution, other than "just get married"( ie. ignore all the problems the Red Pills cite), men are going to continue to look at the current state of dating and marriage and continue to say "No, thank you."

I generally agree with you, but to what end? Ok, men stop pursuing women until things change. What if they never change? The alarming part of this, is how willing men are in giving up the fight and waiting to be handed a V. They say they'll be single until things change. Who's going to change anything? I have a hard time seeing this as anything but feminine. And in the meantime not anywhere near enough babies are being born, demographic collapse is steadily on the way. Men think they're going to sit in their living rooms playing Halo until they die? That's rather optimistic. You'll be lucky to have running water and electricity when there aren't enough people to keep the machine going.
Picking up the heavy load and moving it is what being a man is all about. This is putting the heavy load in your garage and saying you'll get to it when your mom moves her tupperware.

Eliminate "no fault" divorce. If you enter into a contract with someone, and then violate or just want to exit the contract, you have to negotiate a price. Marriage should be at least as protected. Neither party should be allowed to exit and expect the other party to absorb the heavy costs.

Second one, Highly insecure, Love bombed. She wasn't a bad partner, but she had a lot of baggage and was easily triggered. Not a very fulfilling relationship, quite stressful. She too cheated.
Third woman. Also love bombed me. Very sexual. I think she liked me, but distance was an issue, so she eventually broke it off and found someone nearby, even though we easily could've moved in together.
Fourth one, Actually a covert narcissist. Hid children from me when love bombing me, Got me trauma bonded, proceeded to smear my name to everyone, gaslit me for 2 years, triangulated to make me jealous and anxious, constant silent treatment, hot and cold behavior. Mentally destroyed me. Only now, almost 3 years later do I feel even remotely normal.
Okay so that's roughly 8 years of dating so far. Hmm, actually closer to 9.

    Ok.
So I hear the problems that men have, and why they might choose to not marry or have children.
Now I hear the negative effects on society if men don't marry and have children.
Is it just me, or did we skip something?
It feels like we skipped over finding solutions for all the issues that make marriage a bad gamble for men, you know, the entire reason this is happening in the first place.
We skipped right to what sounds like claiming it is somehow our duty to take this gamble, no matter what the risk to ourselves.
The problem with that notion is that many men got to where they are with this simply because they did have a sense of duty that was exploited by generations that were taught to have none.
The downside of spending decades making sure that men are very, very clear that a spouse owes them nothing by her nature of being a woman, is that eventually they realize they also owe her nothing.
Society has been running on the fumes of, "you owe me because you are a man" for decades now.
This is going to take an indescribable amount of time and solutions to fix.
Not just appealing to a sense of duty.

Reinforcing the idea of marriage and family is simple. Alter the state and federal laws around low-income benefits for single parenthood so that only by having two adults in a household (regardless of gender) will pay out those benefits. The reason that single parenthood has any favoritism is because government incentivizes it as the better option. If the better option was a two adult home, it would come back into fashion. It's similar to finding out that Santa isn't real. But unlike the belief in Santa, the male/female narrative is harmful. An offshoot of Red Pill is the Pick up artist community. This red pill applied to the goal of generating success with women. An offshoot of that are the hucksters who peddle success with women. MRA concerns itself with changing the legal and social risks associated with relationships with women through activism. MGTOW applies red pill and MRA philosophy with the goal of AVOIDING relationships with women and providing support for those who chose to do that. People like Matt are viewing with the assumption that everyone who watches red pill content have the goal of marriage and family. The majority of RP men will agree that yes marriage is good, yes family is very important and men should strive for those things, but with the way the current divorce laws are in this country, why would they want to?
Their wife could wake up one day (no matter how much you've worked at your marriage every day) and decide there's more for her out there, or she's feeling some serious FOMO, or she just isn't attracted to her husband any more and she can just leave (this sounds crazy but I see it almost daily in my mom groups). With no fault divorce nothing is stopping her, she can leave with half of your money, the house, cars, custody of the kids, you'll have to pay child support, and alimony especially if she was a SAHM. It's easier to financially recover from these issues if you're wealthy, but the average man making $40k-$50k per year it can very easily ruin them.

One who wouldn't give up at the first inconvenience or just use the guy and even if she doesn't love him anymore, she would never subject him to something as painful as financially stripping him because she did ONCE love him. "It was all fine and dandy". Maybe in this life, but your parents lived in sin and it says in the Bible that those who are sexually immoral-ie having sex without being married, will not enter the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6: 9-20). Whether or not you choose to believe that is your prerogative. However, for those who take those words seriously, you see their divorce rates decline tremendously. Because it also says in the Bible that God hates divorce, and if you do divorce, to remarry is to make an adulterer out of yourself and your partner, as God does not recognize a remarriage unless the first marriage has ended because of death or adultery from either man or woman (Matthew 5: 31-32). Protestant pastors fail to mention this all too often, but if you find yourself drawing near to the Catholic faith or Christian Orthodoxy, or you just take it upon yourself to study your Bible-which every true Christian should, this is something we should all be well aware of. When you put Christ at the head of your household, all things will follow. Men are supposed to love their wives unconditionally, as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and women are to respect, honor, and submit to their husbands (Ephesians 5:22-25). When you follow a Biblical life, the Lord blesses according to His will. The cause of this degradation of marriage and our lives as a whole in this society is the rejection of Christ. The anecdote is to return back to Him.

Even if your assumption was correct, child support is a legal obligation with or without marriage, so your point is completely mute. There is no benefit to getting married, it's expensive and there are no punishments involved for breaking vows or divorcing, except for a man's wealth being devided. There is literally zero upside to it in first world countries that have adopted femenism. The ones that had their wife initiate a no-fault divorce, take the kids, the house, 50% of assets, and who then get to pay a payment monthly while another man moves in and occupies their place, and if they don't they go to jail? I don't see how anyone here is qualified to speak about men choosing not to get married when they haven't experienced any of the negative aspects of the failure of said marriage. The luck aspect is half true, but the other half is compromise on standards. If a man's standards combined with his traits reduces the dating population to a ten percent chance of a long-term relationship leading to a good marriage, then that means he will statistically spend years in poor relationships before getting to the good one. He can reduce his standards on looks and other things, and raise that number to above fifty percent, and be assured his next long-term relationship is probably successful, or raise his odds a little, and be willing to suffer through some bad relationships to get to a better one.
The problem with all of that is a man usually has better traits when it comes to finances, religious zeal, etc. as he gets older, and the women he dates get more baggage with age. As a man ages, it is a matter of luck, if he lands that good woman at a younger age, or is able to find the woman who is more rare at a later age.
Moreover, the concept of being red pilled is realizing the legal problems with marrying the wrong person. Once a man is red pilled, he will change his standards to the point that the odds of finding a woman that will be little to no risk is very low for the average man, unless he's willing to compromise a lot of other things like looks, fitness, and fiscal responsibility.
The sad reality is that when it comes to traits like lifelong marriage, wanting kids, fiscal responsibility, religious, etc. men outnumber women today on those things. That means women with good values can marry up more, and that reduces the dating pool potential for every average man looking for those women. All the guys I know who are happily married married down quite a bit, but it worked for them.

I'm close to 75, worked many careers and am well traveled. I have witnessed over 50 divorces among friends/co-workers - all but TWO initiated by women. The dismay a father endures while being stripped of his children, home, and income is devastating. Most of these men never recovered. Marriage is a great institution that has been virtually destroyed by feminism and "white knight males" such as the ones on this panel. Ask any male who has gone through a divorce and one will find out just how ANTI-MALE and ANTI-FATHER the family courts are. For this panel to dismiss males who must deal with the matriarchy running most western countries shows a real disconnect with what is happening. Most men would like to be married, but the current laws make it a dangerous, dangerous decision. Until divorce laws are changed, and feminism is reduced, men are avoiding getting married - and that decision has absolutely nothing to do with being gay.

I'm sure that I missed a few. These were not dregs of society by any means, but a lot of hardworking and successful men in a variety of fields. I am not aware of a single instance of abuse, though two men did cheat (their wives denied them sex for years). Only two men on that list initiated divorce, the women initiated the rest of the time. Since then, there have been at least another dozen divorces. This is in the Seattle area - in a strong blue state which has been run by feminists for decades.@@aperson9847

The left has fought for separation of church and state and it is about time that the church sees that the government is Rome and Christians (and other religions) are the same as the Jews from the time of Jesus. Start recording marriages in family Bibles - do not seek authority from the government for something that is sanctioned by God. Churches should get together and create schools for believers - teach creation not evolution. Do not seek any financial support from the state and refuse any and all woke agendas. Christians around the country are going to have to create communities that separate themselves from the Marxist cult that has taken over.

The only thing we didn't do which I would recommend for others who really want a successful marriage is courting. Ask the important questions early on, before you catch feelings (because we all know we're just going to ignore the red flags after that point) and don't be in or expect denial of the fact that the reason you're dating is you're looking for a long-term relationship. You guys (+Candace) are so focused on "get married!" But completely fail to acknowledge or address the inequity of marriage laws in the US and most western society countries. RP isn't really saying "don't get married, just sleep around" (yes, some individuals add their commentary, but let's take a step back and look at the larger issues). RP is about making men aware of the realities of modern marriage so they can make an informed decision about committing to one. Marriage is not treated as a covenant with God anymore. They can be dissolved on a whim, with the fallout being far worse for the man and the children. I'm not blaming women for this, but we absolutely should blame feminism and the founders of the modern day movement's goal to abolish the family unit and destroy society from within.
Please STOP focusing on the "don't get married" message and instead focus on solutions to help men & women make better life choices (i.e. choosing the right partner who shares your values, and properly vetting them before just getting married because they've confused being in lust with genuine love). Also, we absolutely need to address the marriage laws and get rid of no-fault divorce. Breaking up a marriage and a family should be a last resort, but today it's seen as the easy way out of dealing with problems and putting the work in that is needed for a successful marriage. There needs to be real cause for dissolving a marriage and the spouse who is at the root of that cause needs to bear the brunt and shame, financially and societally.
I get that marriage and family are vitally important for society to thrive and grow. But ignoring why it's a bad bet for men in 2024, gambling with their livelihood and family success, just so people get married is disingenuous and short-sighted on your part. Stop making people who are speaking the truth about modern day marriages your adversaries, and instead meet in them in the middle (acknowledge the core problem that got us in this state) and focus all of our attention and energy on fighting the REAL ENEMY: those who seek to destroy our country and society through propaganda of equality and devaluing men's & women's strengths that work best in harmony to compliment each other's purpose.
Side note: The more I see "Trad-Cons" ignoring the real issues and just railing against the "Red-Pill", the more I have started to think you are on board with the nefarious goal of destroying society. Kinda like RINOs and Neo-Cons who are anything but conservative. BE BETTER!

It not that every women will destroy you with divorce, it’s that every woman can if she chooses to. And to all the women in the comments saying something along the lines of “just pick better”, I hope you keep that same energy when it comes to women who fell in love with what she thought was good man only for him to turn out to be abusive later. People change, until the laws are changed the number of men who want to marry will decrease.
“Get married anyway”, tell me, what incentive will there be for a change in the laws if men continue to willing walk into the slaughter house? You would think the daily wire would recognise a boycott when they see it.
It all comes down to incentives, it’s gonna take a lot more than a simple tax break and a glorified “trust me bro” at the altar to convince guys to get married again and there are far too many incentives for women to initiate divorce.

I have seen a lot from Pearl. I wouldn't position her as "anti-marriage". Her real issue is that today's women are shallow and self-obsessed. They expect to have a lifestyle where the millionaire man will want them and buy them everything. Because of this, she puts a mirror to the young women and asks why a man would want to get married. Her position is more about women need to wake up and set realistic expectations that will position themselves to be more desirable to men.

I hear a lot of the people on the panel right now saying that they get a ton of red pill commenters on their videos. I’m starting to think that maybe Candace, Ben, Matt, Walsh, and the rest of them might be out of touch or disconnected with a big chunk of their fans/viewers. I don’t think they’ve accepted the reality that their support base is severely disconnected with their traditional ideology on marriage and kids. maybe they are delusional about it or don’t want to accept it, but it might be something that they need to start genuinely coming to common grounds with the supporters

There is a big difference between « don’t get married period » and « don’t get married at any cost ». Red Pill is the latter I believe. If as a man you know the deck is stacked against you when it comes to marriage, you should be very careful who you marry. Especially if you are gonna marry a woman with a feminist mindset, whether she identifies as one or not. And since this type of women is prevalent in a western society like America, it becomes very unlikely for a man to commit to matrimony without getting the short end of the stick at some point in time.

I see too many comments of people saying they're happily married for 20, 30 years. That's great, but dating back then is very different than nowadays. With social media, dating has now been globalized and people take advantage of the countless options out there. People don't want to settle because frankly they think they can do better

    • @sigmacademy
      @sigmacademy 2 місяці тому

Well, that's on them. Just because you have MORE options for sexual encounters, doesn't mean a SINGLE ONE of them is interested beyond a single or a handful of encounters with you. What I'm saying, is the dating apps make people DISPOSABLE. Also, sleeping around like you're on a clock doesn't really amount to ANYTHING - there's no benefit to ANY of it (at least not the person doing the sleeping around).
For anyone still thinking modern day feminism is any kind of social good, I have a question: Feminists have complained for DECADES about how women had been sexually exploited. Then, they turn around and tell women to sleep around like they have ZERO value as human beings and not even RESPECT the act of being intimate with anyone else. Who EXACTLY BENEFITS from such an arrangement? DEFINITELY not the women?
Also, they said that men behave BADLY, but then emulate the SAME behavior? So was the behavior bad, or only when MEN did it? What is the difference now that SOME women engage in the same behavior, or is it again an issue of "Rules for Thee, but not for Me" - what happened to "gender equality" all of a sudden?

  • @TheMadManPlace
    @TheMadManPlace 2 місяці тому +30

The primary issue is that the legal system and general society is so badly skewed AGAINST men, husbands, fathers that many men simply decide that going into a marriage based on historical data like divorce rates, divorce rape, paternity fraud and other issues is in reality a very bad idea from the man's point of view.
Many men, although unhappy about NOT carrying on their "blood line" would be even more unhappy, many would become suicidal, about having the woman they love cheat on them, divorce them and UNFAIRLY get the state to effectively remove all that they have worked for up to that point in their life, take in many cases more than half of what they will earn in the rest of their lives, become estranged from their own children or in some cases discover that their children who they love and care about dearly are NOT EVEN THEIR BIOLOGICAL CHILDREN.
MANY men would not be able carry on living never mind function optimally as a human being.
So until the law decides that men also have rights and women should NOT always be put on a pedestal from the legal point of view, men are NOT GOING TO PUT WOMEN ON A PEDESTAL BY MARRYING THEM.
But some men (and some women) have made the personal decision that they are not going to allow their own personal blood-line to continue. I made that decision myself almost 50 years ago.
