A couple of MIA entries from the list are the Kawasaki Voyager and the Yamaha Venture. Both being V-Twin powered with brand-K finally getting the right formula and Yamaha's (which just announced it's ending snowmobile production) star has certainly fallen with it's latest and short-lived (mis ad-)Venture . While the V-twin, less-is-more formula most certainly worked for Kawasaki, for Yamaha it was seemingly a colossal failure.
Kudos to BMW, H-D, Honda and Indian for continuing to soldier on in this ever-changing & highly competitive market while still offering the touring rider both heritage and innovation. And thank you for this presentation. Keep up the excellent service at the Motorcycle Cafe.

Yes I did actually have all the specs for the Voyager written down but I omitted it for 3 reasons. 1: It currently is only available new in America. 2: it is also very long in the tooth and I doubt its production will continue much longer. 3: I just didn't have enough space at the top of the screen for 8 bikes.
I rode one a few years back, its engine and seat comfort were amazing but it's cornering clearance was absolutely pathetic! I remember scrapping the footboards on every single corner. Definitely not a bike for the twisty roads. And as far as I know Yamaha no longer produce their full dresser. If I was looking to buy a full dresser right at this moment it would be a very hard choice. Thanks for watching and giving some feedback buddy!

An awesome pocket guide review of the heavy hitters of the motorcycledom's touring segment. It's noteworthy that each of the BMW's could not be more dissimilar; the two Harley's nearly identical, and split the difference with each of the Indian offerings. This leaves Honda, the world's largest manufacturer with one! Only one full size luxury tourer to offer to an ever shrinking customer base of Wing Nuts. I do believe, however, that the 2023 Gold Wing is available in a choice of two colors. Don't get me wrong as I feel Honda has done a marvelous job with redesigning their flagship. I just feel that as hoped for the buyer for the Gen-6 Gold Wing has not materialized.

I do have to agree with every single one of your comments. While the new Goldwing is certainly a nice machine it's probably not what some were hoping for. The Harleys are indeed the same apart from the fairings and the BMW's are total opposites. The Indians are different yet appeal to the same type of rider.

Yes and what about used tourers from 90s like K75RT and K100LT from BMW. Cheap as chips now compared with new bikes. Another alternative for older riders like myself are the Maxi scooters like Yamaha T Max and Kymco AK550 as many old blokes (68+) ride alone saving 100Kgs by ditching the pillion. LOL Cheers and I like your videos
