I just fully committed to the fly rod on Lanier. Having a blast catching striper on the kayak. Been hitting a green light on my kayak and wearing them out on bucktails but it’s harder when it’s been cold.
Think I can handle one on a 5wt. with a heavy leader?
that’s exactly what i fish with on lanier. 9 foot 5 weight, 7.5-9ft 0x 14lb leader or 2x 11lb leader.
