    How do you feel on purchasing a car out of state and having it shipped to you without going out and checking it out? I’ve found a couple that seem to be good deals with right features just don’t have time to travel and drive one back.

    • @LASTROUNDED

      I believe if you do it right you will be fine. Whatever Tesla you do decide on just have the seller video most of the items in the outlined the video. Especially have the seller video the free supercharging to confirm it has it. Good luck.

    Free supercharging for life stoped in 03/2017. Only private and dealers have them as Tesla removes this option once it’s go back to them.
    I would recommend to buy a facelift model with smaller battery as those one more reliable and a bit lighter so the range difference is not that huge.

    • @LASTROUNDED
      @LASTROUNDED  2 роки тому +4

      You are correct Tesla did remove free supercharging but not from all models. Models from 2012 to 2015 still have it built into the VIN. I recently spoke with a few buyers that bought 2013/2014 models from Tesla that still had free supercharging. I agree with the facelift models 2016 and beyond but I think the buyer should choose the model that meets their budget. The facelift models offer some great benefits that’s for sure. My 2013 has been perfect no issues. Thank you for your comment I always enjoy the dialogue. Thank you for watching!

      @LASTROUNDED
      Sorry to hear that, how many miles were on it when the battery went?
      That's been my fear when looking at a used S. Seems there's no way to tell how long the battery will last. I've contemplated just buying one with a known bad battery (recently saw a 2012 S for 8k) then replace with a warranty. Or maybe I'll just stick with my ICE car.

    • @LASTROUNDED
      @LASTROUNDED  10 місяців тому +2

      Yeah it stinks for sure. The car had about 98k on it so not even 100k miles on it for it died. Yeah you can never tell. I still purchased two used ones because of the free supercharging. You can’t beat it. Don’t be afraid of the battery dying plus if you get it repaired you will have a warranty on the new battery which shouldn’t fail for a while. Check out my Dead Battery Video and my New Tesla videos on some of the details that may help you make your decision. Best of luck!

    How do you know if the car will have free supercharging? When I’m on CarGurus I seldom see it mentioned. Do any of the 2017 models come with it? I strongly prefer to stay in between the years of 2016-2017

    • @LASTROUNDED
      @LASTROUNDED  Рік тому

      It is alittle challenging to find a Tesla with Free Supercharging but it can be done. When you are on sites like CarGurus you have to search Private Sellers that will be your best chance. Because they will know the vehicles know if the car has the SC01 Free Supercharging Code. Yes there are some 2017 models that have free supercharging but they are really rare. Most are going to be 2016. I hope this helps.

    • @LASTROUNDED

      Most of the time the only way to figure it out is the look at the Software screen on the Tesla. It lists most of the features there. Just get the seller to take a picture of that screen in the Tesla. Or take a picture the features screen on the Tesla app. Yes you can find Model S with FSD and EAP those are usually found on 2015 and 2016 models. I hope that helps thanks for watching!

    • @LASTROUNDED
      @LASTROUNDED  3 місяці тому

      Oh I see. If you are buying it from a dealer they should be able to video you the whole car including the issues. The main concerns will be the battery health, MCU, and the axels. If those are fine you should be good to purchase. Do you have anyone local to that area that could check it out for you? If not you could also hire someone on like task rabbit or something like that to physically visit the car and pay them like $20 to $25 per hour to check out the car for a few hours to eliminate any concerns you have. Hope that helps.

      Some car dealerships may provide additional warranties outside of the Tesla Warranty but I am not sure. It would be specific to the dealer that you are buying it from. Why the battery and most parts would be replaced on those vehicles?

    • @LASTROUNDED
      @LASTROUNDED  Рік тому +2

      The battery and most parts are replaced under warranty due manufacturer issues. But some items aren’t covered under warranty and you will have to replace those out of pocket but they are rare. I have owned my vehicles for three years and it has only happened a few times for me paying out of pocket for not being covered under warranty.

    Live in California and so am used to rust free un-weathered cars (Model S P85). I am considering only looking for CA or AZ cars knowing it will take much longer.
    My big question is how do I 100% ensure the free charging will transfer to me when I purchase from the original owner? I have heard some horror stories.
    EDIT: I am not looking for the best price, I am looking for the best car. Is yours for sale (seriously)?

    • @LASTROUNDED

      Thank you for your question! Unfortunately mine is not for sale haha. I am still enjoying it. As for your search I would only look at 2012 to 2014 because free supercharging is built into the VIN. Especially going a 2012 and 2013 model S. You could have the owner meet you at a superchargers to confirm the free supercharging, but with those model years you will be fine.
