You got that right! I take the Mountain House meals at times, but they are not the budget item. Actually, I just like to cook with the gear. The bag meals are pretty good when you're in a hurry. I have a video coming out soon on the Mountain House. Thanks for watching!
Great way to wake up, John: watching your latest video! I love my UCO mess kit. Now, I think it's time to make an omelette and brew some coffee. Thank you. Two thumbs up!
Been a while. Good to see you back! My kit is a hodgepodge, as well, of what works best for me. Some Firebox branded stuff, some Pathfinder, some Ozark Trail/Walmart, etc...etc..
Good video. I like the Firebox Nano stove too. I got hold of a set of stainless steel mess tins after a lot of looking and like the versatility of them. They store my kit & pack up nice. Thank you for sharing👍
Love your videos John! Still a little too cold here in Oregon to get out much at my age so watching you makes me jealous! Wondering how that BeFree water filter I recommended to you is doing? Mine finally plugged up (I think I let it freeze one night) but I purchased another because how easy they are. Best, Mike
The BeFree is a good filter. I used it enough to need a replacement filter. Actually, I like it better than the Sawyer Squeeze. Like you said, it's to use. Thanks for watching my videos and commenting 2112.

Hey. 2K subscribers. Grats!
Well I am glad you are still kicking around.
That’s a lot better food for taste and price than those bag meals. Enjoyed it! MWW.

Thanks. You made me hungry! :)
Hey Matt, Thanks for watching. I hope all is well.
Nice kit there. I like their candle lantern.
Me too! The UCO candle lantern is part of my kit.
Absolutely masterfully presented upload bud, so nicely elaborated. Simply enjoyable content!

NICE VIDEO BUDDY!!!
Keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
Now I’m hungry! I’ve not had much success seasoning thin stainless steel either. I think the metal just isn’t porous enough to hold the oil.
I gave up trying to season the plate. The non-stick spray or just some oil in the plate works for me. Thanks for watching and commenting.
