Nice shave Dave. It is amazing how a neutral blade exposure with that low gap can still give an efficient shave. There is very little information on the geometry of the razors by artisans/ manufacturers and timeless proves what precision engineering is all about. Superb stuff.
Dave, You know I love my family of Rockwell razors, along with the Merkur razors. But i have to say the Timeless Bronze is a Wow real game changer! Boy is ever so smooth, no blade feel with a more aggressive blade just wow! No runs, no drips, no errors!
What a beautiful razor! I'm really liking the look of bronze razors. The Athena and Aries are the first that I saw, and the visual appeal is top notch. Really liking the rain drop effects that you have going while you rinse. Great little touch. Keep playing around with those effects! Take care mista man!
I am getting the timeless .95 for my birthday. titanium handle and titanium scalloped top cap with the open comb and scalloped baseplate in SS, I like a little more weight. Will get to use it on the 29th!
Hey Buddy! Love this razor. I have both plates and it is shave perfection! Want aggressive go open comb. Nearly as aggressive as an R41. Want a medium comfortable shave closed comb with a feather. Very smooth. I like. Great daily shaver or a once a week bully.
Have you tried pre shave oil with this razor? I bet it'd make it shine as a true smoothy. I rarely use preshave treatment but I just bet it would be a good time shave. Think I'll try it tonight.
Hey David! I emailed Timless and they indicated they they are changing their manufacturing facility but are only in discussions about having a storefront. I am hoping they will, but it is only in a planning stage. Thanks for reviewing this Bronze version! I have the aluminum type and I love it! I am contemplating on purchasing the others! Thanks! JimG
Hey Dave, great video! I’m thinking about getting this razor or the Yates 921 H plate. In your opinion which one shaves smoother and has better efficiency? I have pretty sensitive skin with mildly coarse facial hair. Thanks for any input!
It seems like the best safety razors are the ones that are easy to find the correct angle. That is why I like all rockwells and every Merkur (except for Futr)
Thanks for the review. I can agree with you on the mild blades. I used Astra greens with a Merkur 34C and it always tugged. Sadly back then I had heard tugging was the sign of a blade being dull. Went down a rabbit hole on trying to keep blades sharp when it really was blade, razor and grown combination issue. That Timeless razor is next on my list. Originally I thought it would hold heat better but I have figured out if the head hold a lot of heat it moves into the handle and that isn't fun. However I do like the precision Timeless offers and it is cheaper for now than the TI. Anyway thanks again for the review. Also like your new filter during the rinse phase.
Great video Dave! Great shave and a nice looking razor .Now that I've had the med prep experience I do love them but the personna cc is still my absolute favorite!
The Timeless Bronze (SOLID BAR) specifications are similar (although more mild compared) to the Karve Overlander. The blade gap on the Timeless Bronze is 0.38 mm vs. 0.73 mm for the Overlander. The blade exposure on the Timeless is 0.0508 mm vs 0.07 mm for the Overlander. Looking forward to seeing your review of the Overlander.
I have been looking at the Athena made in Greece but to buy an American equivalent for almost half the price is super. Waiting for our Shave Dad group razor buy to arrive but as soon as it does I think you sold me on this one. Great job brother. - Kevin
Heyyyyy, you got the Bronze! I've been enjoying it quite a bit since I got it. A very efficient razor even though the blade gap and exposure don't lend you to believe that it would be. I wouldn't say it is my most favorite razor, but it is in my "Top 5" and might be around #3 or #4. Some razor blades have been "meh" in it, and others have been absolutely wonderful. Put some Proraso White pre-shave on and an amazing, comforting soap lather and I just go to town. And honestly, it is one of the few razors that I can personally use a Feather with, which is nuts, but you have to keep a real "no pressure" system to not get nicked. Anyways, another great shave, David! I hope you continue having amazing shaves with this one! 😊😊😊
Nice video. Love it. I tried the r6 on ny 6c for a tree pass shave... I loved how smoot it was afterwards. Ofc i had some feedback from the aftershave and I need just a little more experience but it was sooo smooth I love this razor
@@basketmaster2777 I just shaved my head and face with the 6C on the R3 plate, it's a lot more efficient than you first think, my Merkur 15C open comb is now retired to my swim bag👍
