Before he joined the grid, people said he was to young.
When he joined the grid people said he was to aggressive.
When he gained more experience people noticed what he could do and become.
When he improved even more people often said 'thankfully we have Max to make it more entertaining'.
Now again he has people talking about him and saying 'Max makes it boring'.
Someone who has such an impact on the sport and has top 10 video's (of which people said there were moments missing) after only a couple of seasons in F1 is special.
Like him or not, but when looking at what he has done and the potential he still has you can't deny he truly is someone special.
A master amongst equals I'd say.

I can't remember which manager said it, but one of them said it takes a few years for a new driver to show what they can really do and Max took a couple of years, but before those couple of years he was already shining and with that he has gone on to dominate 2023 and most likely will be stronger in 2024. When Max said he doesn't want to be one of these who sticks around racing into his 40's i thourght to myself i can't see you leaving until you have beaten every record there is. If Lewis does get that 8th world title thus becoming the most sucessful F1 driver i can see max pushing it out to 9 or 10 titles for future generation to try and beat as he strives to be the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
As for boring, that is something Max certainly is not. I'm not a fan of any poticular driver, i watch the sport and enjoy seeing the driver's push and be pushed to the limits. We have seen max is not affraid to get into fights on track even when he has more to loose than the driver he is fighting with. This is the sign of someone who is willing to not leave anything on the plate and i have no idea how anyone can say he's boring. yes 3 titles now in a row but when a team starts dominating everyone is quick to say boring but most if not all was jumping for joy the day Max won his 1st and maybe 2nd titles.
All i will say is the fight Lewis and Max gave us in 2021 helped Max push deeper, find levels that shocked the world and his team and has only gone on to show case his true ability with even more depth to himself.

I follow Max since the Euro-F3 2014 days & I've never seen a driver to be 1,5-2 seconds per lap quicker on dry in Macau in a F3 car.
I consider myself very lucky to witness him race in F1 since 2015. He's a true legend of our sport & he will leave a great mark once his hunger gets settled.

Now he knows how it feels when u have a car thats not championship material. Lewis is a good driver but most of his dominance is for sure because of the amount merc threw at the race program nearly 900 million pounds every season and the second team had like 360 million redbull had not even 300 million thats also why the Costcap was brought in place. Besides, as much as i respect his achievements (especially getting the most championships), the Micheal was not invincible. If he was, he would have gone on to beat the win % over a season that was set by Ascari in the beginning days of the sport, something Max has done this season. Or, he would have helped ferrari beat the win % over a season previously held by Mclaren since 88, only beaten this year by RB with Max doing the heavy lifting. He was pushed out because of Toto/Merc being petulant little children. That man and team cannot take a loss gracefully or with dignity. It shows the true character of that lot. The season 2021 proved to be great, not on;y because Max won gloriously but in exposing the rathole that is Mercedes.
By the way, Massi did exactly what the TP's (and thus Toto as well) asked him to do: not let the race finish under a SC.

One of the reasons that Nando likes Max, is that he recognized quite early that Max was a new and serious challenger to Lewis. It’s common knowledge that there is no love lost between Nando and Lewis. Remember when Max won his first race? Alonso came into Parc Ferme to congratulate Max even before the podium ceremony.
