Cosworth is giving enthusiasts the perfect swansong for the internal combustion engine. (Now if only Yamaha could give us one last V10 or V12 engine for a road car along with maybe a turbocharged inline 6 capable of 4 figure power outputs)

It basically makes the compressor starved of air so there is less resistance. This keeps the blades spinning with little energy. When throttle is opened again the turbo is already spinning at speed.
It’s the advantage of lowering the displacement well below the average, you get that high pitched F1-esque sound. The truth is that the emissions on this V12 are better than every V8 car on sale today too. Gordon Murray can probably make another two cars with this engine before the laws prevent him from using the engine ever again, so I hope we those in the few years left before automakers truly shift away from ICE’s

Who would’ve thought that I’d witness the rebirth of thr McLaren F1! I never got to and I never will witness or experience the legendary McLaren F1 LM/GTR/LT at its finest. But this might be able to change that. The resemblance of this T50s to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR id uncanny.
@@kantina4765 I am with you on that. It's a marvelous car but I'd eat my own plus a few other's testies if it's anywhere near fast enough to be competitive in the hypercar class. Murray himself stated long ago that the focus was never on outright speed or laptimes but "merely" on the best experience you could give a driver (with a wallet big enough). This is why they haven't given out any numbers in terms of speed. Not because they are playing coy and want to surprise everyone but basically because they actually don't expect it to beat records.
Not to be that guy but really for knowledge, The F1 road legal was faster than the F1 gtr! The car was so amazing that it had to be tamed to be authorised to race.

It's hard to explain, but you can quite literally see it making grip, each tire is so well aligned, making such perfect contact with the ground at all times, it's just incredible to watch from a suspension design perspective, the car is mid engine perfection.

Huayra R sound is No.1 of all V12s for me. That thing is screaming as though its revving to 18000 rpm thanks to using 4 stacked pipes instead of 2. Gordon wouldn't have ever used 4 pipes now because, weight. 😂
To me this is the best car in the world. Finally we get super high revving engine that is extremely light and comes in a manual. When so many cars have been ditching the lightweight high revving, this car comes and shows the others what people really want.

On the race track it’s irrelevant though. Valkyrie AMR Pro is larger but looks better and probably faster too around a track.
