I wonder if anyone actually bought those. There are hardly any reviews on the web about this series, the only videos on YT are by Tech21 themselves, no reviews on biggest stores like Thomann or Sweetwater.
What a shame because the products look/sound great but the price is too much when there are so many OG Liverpools/Blondes etc on the used market for a fraction of the price so it’s difficult to justify the cost. Also no FX loop and no cab sim button make those look like a step backward from the Character Deluxe series. I wish you could just release that pedals again.
I’m a hardcore fan of the Liverpool and never could get my hands on the Liverpool Deluxe which is my dream amp in a pedal device, it has 6 presets, FX loop, XLR out so everything that Character Plus series has and more. Of course except for the boost/fuzz pairings but that’s given.
Anyway I hope those sell somewhat good so Tech21 doesn’t give up on the Character series because IMO there is still no other amp-in-box pedal that sounds that good. Liverpool Deluxe in 2023 would be amazing
