I know it's been a few years, I bought my 2016 Fusion SE 2.5l with the tech and cold weather package brand new for 18k. It only has 67k miles and runs great! I've taken care of the interior even with two little kids. I bought it in December 2015, and plan on keeping it for many more years. Perfect for a family of 4.

Don't even get me started on that upper LED trim for the headlights, I still just look at it in awe, combined with that grill; it looks SO FUCKING MEAN. 10/10 I wouldn't trade this car of mine for anything else.

I have done some research on reliability. There are a fairly large number of reliability complaints. However, given the large sales volumes, this is to be expected. By far, a dead battery is the leading complaint. People having this problem state they believe some module is turning on power after they leave the car. That makes sense. As the problem seems to be identified, Ford fix should be coming soon, or may already have been done. As I stated, another very common reliability complaint is the window bounce back. If you are still having this issue, google Ford tech bulletins. They give the dealer the fix for this issue. Insist the dealer perform this procedure. The first time around, I was given the run around by a service tech who pushed the button up and down a few times. That is not a permanent fix. There are five tech bulletins on window bounce back for the 2017 Fusion. Just used adaptive cruise control for the first time. A great feature. It keeps your car 3 lengths behind the car in front of you. If it slows, the Fusion brakes to keep it at 3 lengths. Then speeds back up to your set speed. Don’t know if that’s engine braking or the brakes. I wasn’t paying attention and didn’t see the car in front of me slow down. Glad I had it on. Seems to go on automatically with cruise control.
Paul Stein no issues with my 2016 Fusion yet, I found out myself the battery will die if you leave stuff plugged into the cigarette lighter such as a gps or phone charger. If unplugged when you get out the battery doesn’t discharge.
@Paul Stein Where did you get your information on Fusion reliability? I'm looking to buy a used one but don't want to if it will always be in the repair shop. Thank you.

it's possible to have a sloping roof line and interior head space. Somebody needs to tell these car companies that four dorrs are useless without rear headroom.
At least Ford is starting to add automatic transmission options other than their terrible Powershift/Selectshift dual clutch systems. My 2013 Focus Titanium was on its 3rd set of clutches by the time I traded it in for a 10th gen Civic. That transmission was nothing but problems. I probably would have kept it if it had a standard automatic system.
Interesting, considering how many see a dual clutch setup to be infinitely more desirable than a regular auto trans. I guess only Ford can screw up something great. Make you wonder what will happen to all their "high tech" turbo engines too.
oldtwins I'm sure dual clutch systems are fine when you're in control, but with Ford's system it's actually an automated manual. Imagine driving a manual shifted by a computer that doesn't know what it's doing. It was horrific.
I have a 2007 fusion SEL 3 L v6 have had it for going on 12 years ,it s the best car I have had to date and from what is being said here regards gas mileage my 2007 beats the 2017! Not a fan of turbo any kind a car it is just more "plumbing" to go wrong and all turbos give problems after a few years it is ok if you keep a car 2 years and trade it but that's not the way I roll.
First off the thing that I would like to say about the Ford fusion… How I got its name… Hermosillo Mexico, and an STD outbreak stumped from there to Kansas City, Missouri obviously my opinion and my opinion… The cover-up and retaliation mode by Gonzalez, and the opportunity for them to flourish to try and push blame on an American… it was in the works about four years after the event took place in the late 80s but it’s so Mexico responsibility and their carelessness that caused the actions.
I think the Energi is quite unique in the segment. Every company now offers a Hybrid version of their midsize cars, but other than the Sonata, no other offers the ability to actually plug in. Yes the trunk is laughable, but at least interior space isn't compromised by a giant battery occupying the middle seat (ahemVoltcoughPriusPrimeahem). The Optima and Mazda 6 are probably better cars in my eyes, but neither can get 40mpg+ or offer EV capability.

omar khan It's actually the hat rack from the entry way in my house.
It comes with the Platinum Trim
it's possible to have a sloping roof line and interior head space. Somebody needs to tell these car companies that four dorrs are useless without rear headroom.
Why is Fusion in Murica but Mondeo in Europe?
Who though a name similar to mundane was a good idea?!
Entertaining review!
I brought 2017 Fusion screen totally different.
this vs the honda civic which is better?
Zak not the same class
Child like review, what more can I say.
Now I hope my parents will let me get one😭😭
Holle
The 2017s arent that expensive now
Love the car trick. Super cool.
It was horrific.
oldtwins there is more than a million ecoboost engine on the market now. Tell me what's the problem?
great review
Highly recommend it. Too bad some fool crashed my car.
I have a 2.0 AWD, getting 15 MPG average.
Mr. Grumpy Grumpy that’s awful.
Get the Sport model
Hey What about the ford edge?
I have a 2007 fusion SEL 3 L v6 have had it for going on 12 years ,it s the best car I have had to date and from what is being said here regards gas mileage my 2007 beats the 2017! Not a fan of turbo any kind a car it is just more "plumbing" to go wrong and all turbos give problems after a few years it is ok if you keep a car 2 years and trade it but that's not the way I roll.
I want one because I can play call of duty on the mini tv
Shout out to Micah for mixing the wicked sweet Nintendo 8 bit outro music in this video.
so ready for mine
the rear ac vents in the prev model looked better

I wish that Mazda 6 was AWD too.

The grille kinda looks like an Aston Martin
