when people complain about no auto parking...that's when you know you shouldn't be driving
Amen
When the competition has that feature, of course it will be brought up. Ignorance of market niches often leads to really misinformed and fallacious comments. Just don't be that person.
Oh, and in no way am I a fan of, or am I actively defending, automated parking. I'm merely pointing out that your claim is fatuous and irrelevant.
Yea. It's innovative I get it. But I see your point too man.
That’s funny and true as fuck lol
Yup
Good test. Very real-world. BTW Malibu was quickest off the line which is important for merging into traffic. Plus, it's gorgeous, and that mileage! Wow!
And lower resale value wow
The Malibu has a speed limiter of 100, they're doing around 90 or so at the 1/4 so the Malibu probably hit the limiter and the Camry went flying by.
That Camry powertrain is really nice/potent for a hybrid. Nice.
HAHAHA racing hybrids. Give me the Fusion with the 2.0 ecoboost and awd
thats garbage just sold it yesterday for a camry
The 2.0 ecotec eats the 2.0 ecoboost
@@nav6593 nice joke taxi fankid
Nah Toyota superior conapred to the Fusion
Damn that ford is slow.
Mike Well it is heavier than both
It has the best interior amenities and the best computer system. Ford sync 3
I chose the fusion. I love it.
It's the hybrid. Duh
MarcoGamer640 Productions 2012-2020 and I could care less about the technology, at the end of the day it is a car and it needs to do one thing and that is drive
I think you guys need better music, because the quality of this is very well done. Get better quality music, and this may feel like Top Gear.
athemocracy no......just no.......
1/18 Model Cars Not obviously the cast, but the quality.
athemocracy good point
Why wasn't the Honda Accord hybrid added to this comparison?
First comment. I like the Malibu best. Best looking inside and out, best tech, lots of space, tons of torque, best MPG. I used to have a Volt so maybe I'm biased.
THE LAVENDER TOWN PROJECT I think the ford looks better
THE LAVENDER TOWN PROJECT I think the ford looks the best
1/18 Model rear passenger space and cargo space are the worst though.
THE LAVENDER TOWN PROJECT um the Malibu is ugliest car exterior wise. It has a deformed catfish face. Literally GMS ugliest vehicle
Were you not watching the video? Lowest mpg went to Toyota dumb ass
The Fusion has the best ride and handling balance
The 2nd best mpg(The Fusion is also the heaviest car with 3986 lb curb weight as opposed to 3555 of Camry and 3700 of Malibu)
The quietest cabin
The SYNC 3 is best of the 3
The SONY audio coming out of the box is best
The Fusion is the only car in this test with an integral link rear suspension that is seen only in expensive cars like Jaguar XE, BMW 3 series, Audi A4, etc and hence its the only car that will be able to provide even ride quality when car is loaded and when car is having driver alone
So I think its the best car here,
So USA still suck when it comes to making choosing good cars out of a group test
Uh.. But We ALL KNOW Chevy Is The Best. Lol.
I wonder about reliability between ford and the Malibu?
@@rouskyregny3697 Pretty much on par, both not as reliable as Camry or Accord
@@ponygt6629 True.
American junk engineering lol 😆 😂 🤣
malibu would be my first choice since i could get just about everything the ford has but with better milage. ford is the runner up though. the Accord is the best, but i dont like having what everyone else has and it isnt the best by much. its speed and nice dash are the only pros for me. however its a hybrid, not a hellcat so idc about speed, and im not touching the dash while driving. So Malibu. Mazda 6 is good too but no hybrid.
You see a lot more ppl with Malibu than u do Accord
@@MandusahRamirez and Malibu are one of the unreliable ones lol more time in shop with the terrible ecotec engine
midsize sedans don't sell like hot cakes anymore. Compact and midsize SUVs do.
I wished you guys and ladies had tested the v6 and turbocharge options(high end models)
What about Kia optima or Sonnata hybrids?
Unfortunately in the used market, I'm not seeing many Malibu Hybrids for sale - many Fusion and Camry options available. Did Chevy not sell a bunch of these?
I am in the process of going from a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid that has over 170,000 miles on it to a gently used 2017 Malibu Hybrid with a little under 10,000 miles that has most of the packages (no sunroof though). I test drove the Ford Fusion hybrid and thought it had the personality of a 2 x 4 but to be fair it was probably because it was base as nobody around me had the Titanium trim. This video was very helpful.
did you have the Fusion in Eco Mode. Thing did not want to move
Seems like it. I have a 2018 Fusion Hybrid Platinum and it scoots like my 2017 2.5 impala when you have it out of eco mode.
Fusion Energi tops them all in class & driving comfort. I drove all three & chose the Ford hands down. 54.5 mpg on my first tank of gas.
What about reliability? Is it a soft quite ride compare to the Malibu plugin?
@@rouskyregny3697 Yes, I think so. The Malibu is a nice vehicle don't get me wrong but I prefer the Fusion's looks and style. I liked the driving position and visibility better in the Ford as well. No reliability issues to speak of. I had it 3 years, it was a lease.
Fusion has best ride and handling, and the Ford SYNC 3 is better than the competition. It also has a very quiet cabin. Keep in mind it is also heavier
Facts
The only reason the Camry caught the Malibu was due to the speed governor. The Malibu is speed governed to 100mph while the Camry governor goes to 118mph.
Erik Stephens Camry won due to HP discrepancy. When reaching higher speeds HP is far more critical than torque
I'm curious if the average mpg numbers are just based on what the in-car tech gives, with no other outside verification devices being used; how can you quote these numbers as though they are fact? Has everyone forgotten VW scandals.
I own a fusion hybrid titanium from 2017 very good car and gets good mileage
Chevy Malibu all the way!!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Gay
No u
Endless money pit
Ugly and looks unfinished. So plain
There is a question mark in the trees at the end of the video: 9:10. Maybe because there is no Accord? Not putting the 30 time Top10 Car and Driver award car which is in the same class as these 3?
Do Impala vs Optima 2016
Better acceleration from 0-100 km/h is better than overall top speed for an everyday car, so in my book the Malibu won the drag race
***** you'll be fine with either one of the cars, plus it doesn't happen that often for me anyways
Cooley should just start his own channel
Can y'all tell me about longevity of the Malibu vs the others? Malibu has a turbo charger in it which I was told to stay away from.
I have a 2016 with the turbo and she still drives great. 2 owners and 80,000 miles, with no issues at all.
The fusion is way better looking than both those cars combined.
Yes, definetly. Hey, i like your photo! Nice Fusion! Looks like mine!
Good thing ford going to stop making the poor quality fusion
I agree Ford Fusion
That had to be the quietest drag race that I never heard! Em, You Rocked those shoes 👠 Daaaammmnn!
I had the Fusion and Loved it!
The Toyota is the logical choice due to the better resale value...
Jarl Ballin' and reliability
And it's rated the safest in the midsize sedan category
Jarl Ballin' not the best for ballin'
***** That's true
ehh 65% of new car sales are leases...resale value doesnt even matter then.
This lady doesnt know anything.. Camry is still the no.1 best midsize sedan
I LOVE THE SHOES
Honda Accord hybrid?
Where is the Honda Accord in this test, 🚫 fair 😢
No Accord and Sonata Hybrid?
As stated in the beginning of the video, they were looking at "popular" hybrids.
I agree with you about the Accord (not sure how popular the Malibu is over it). However, the Sonata not on the radar as far as popularity goes, even though, in my opinion, it's a better choice than what was reviewed.
My wife own 16 Sonata hybrid that's why I want to see how it compare in their eyes. It is weird that Hyundai doesn't promote the new gen Sonata hybrid at all. Good for me as I can pick one up with $8500 off msrp and intent to keep it long without worry the resale.
I think Accord hybrid is way more popular than Malibu hybrid. Back in 2014-15 Accord hybrids production couldn't meet the high demand Honda have to shift the production to Japan. And I think Accord should win here; nice ride and handling as Fusion, as fast as Camry; decent interior plus possibility the best mpg.
Drag racing and a preliminary discussion of power output in vehicles that are engineered for efficiency and comfort? CNET missed the point for the target market of these sedans.
IN security therms the ford wins over chevy ALWAYS. just watch fusion vs malibu dummy tests.
Who ever driving that Ford Clearly doesnt know what the fck to do
I like the exterior of the Ford, interior of the chevy and the dependability of the Toyota. I'd still probably go with the Camry simply because I'm much more likely to put more money into the other two.
Nice video
Accord Hybrid?
would've been better if the Chevy was red and the Toyota was white, the blue ford is perfect
Where's the accord ?????
and sonata????
at grandpa's
Beast Boì Honestly that is where the Toyota belongs as well.
I wouldn't even know, sorry. Sonata who? Nobody cares about the sonata.
Bryan G. And your wrong that’s how I know your a hater. Toyota puts quality in their vehicles something you don’t know of.
Accord??
that's toyota culture lol. always let their competitors spike up for a good short distance before those hp kick in. just how i feel after seeing those supra take off
My wife have 17 fusion 2.5 wy love the car
Were is nissan altima
I want a job like this
No Accord..?
Are you sure the fusion is the lowest?
I own a hybrid and you have to get used to the driving Dynamics. What it will do and what it won't and that will increase gas mileage. A 10 mile loop tells you nothing especially when you don't even know how accurate those gauges are. You need to test that first before you just look at a gauge and assume that's the mileage it's getting. Also who drag races hybrids LOL as long as it's sufficient we look for the gas mileage not drag racing.
What's wrong with drag racing hybrids? You can drag race anything, even a bicycle. This test was far from being accurate but it does tell you something.
Honda Accord Hybrid would have won both tests :)
way too expensive compared to the rest. Which is why we don't see much of them on the roads
Aiyan Rahman I see too many fusions on the road than the Accords
The most boring drag race I've ever seen in my life
Emmie!!! The shoes!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'll take the Malibu 2.0T LT that has 260 horsepower with 250 pound feet of torque over the malibu that has a 1.5 liter turbo that makes 163 horsepower with 184 pound feet of torque.
I thought mid size sedans weren't selling as well anymore? Everyone is switching to CUVs.
Bro my guy forgot something SO BIG in the Ford Fusion, attach your iPhone, and the screen will be your PHONE screen, called apple play? Something like that and ANDROID AUTO
I love my 2017 Ford Fusion hybrid 🥰 it’s a beast! Maybe not all that on speed but it’s luxurious!
The Camry is nice-ish but here in NY almost every single one you see is a damn taxi.
Why not the Honda Accord Hybrid or Sonata?!
Malibu's center stack looks like fisher price designed it.....
Great comparison! Love Emme! #1 fan! 😊
Where's the drag race??
If the ford was the platinum edition it would have done a better
Where is the Accord???
The Accord hybrid got revised and makes an interesting comparison. The Optima/Sonata twins as well, though I'm not sure about the smoothness of a hybrid with a traditional 6spd autobox.
However regular hybrids are kind of going out the door; plug in hybrids are the near future as we transition to EV. Therefore Fusion Energi with its 23mile plug-in capability gets my nod.
My wife own 16 Sonata hybrid and the 6sp hybrid combo is super smooth. No CVT drone and a large flat trunk (fold down seats too!) is a win for me. However the trans give up mpg compare to CVT.
I think Accord could win; nice ride and handling as Fusion, as fast as Camry; decent interior plus possibility the best mpg.
If you talk about plug in then Fusion and Sonata/Optima would be a close call.
Indeed. Bonus points that the Sonata/Optima have a PHEV variant as well. Too bad it is a only available as a top-trim level which makes it almost BMW level expensive however.
From msrp stand point they are crazy expensive. But right now in my area you can get a Sonata plug-in with $8500 off plus $4900 tax incentive. That mean a base Sonata plug in ($35500msrp) is only $22k, unless you need trunk space there is no other reason why you buy a gas version over this.
Fusion Hybrid? NO Titanium
Small crossover HYBRID. PLEEEEEASE!!!!
Which one has the best resale value and reliability 😂
Someone buying a hybrid in this price range and car segment does NOT care about drag racing. Just thought I would put that out there.
Where's the Accord hybrid? I'd easily choose Accord over any of these.
Yea
lol I still love my Malibu and I want a new one.
Ford all day 🥵💪🏻💙
If this was a competition for the best looking, show stopping, make people stare when you drive by then the Ford Fusion wins hands down.
the gallons used by the computer on these cars or at least the ford will mislead you. you have to actually buy gas to test the millage and doing a 10 mile test is ridiculous. I wish these people would not lie about millage so much to make the car companies happy with their reviews.
Doslar. fusion. Sevrolit Curuz. Sevrolit Malibu. Hansi meslehedi ???
She gets around
Race the Fusion Sport 😂😂
Fusion does drive nicely....but...I'd... get a 200... sorry but the way that 4Cyl sounds...
Alright Malibu!!
American cars offer more comfort and technology for less
just saying we're not frickin racing are Hybrids ffs lol there for comfort convenience an fuel economy!!! Affordable
Great, another Chevy initial quality award lol. At least the Camry and fusion will last longer than 2 months lol. Anyway, it’s nice to see an American manufacturer take the cake.
Se ve que ambos son muy buenos autos pero de chiquito estoy enamorado del malibu y yo me quedaría con chevrolet malibu
Even the older generation camry would still win this race.
Nóooooo Toyota Camry is Faster Than a Ford Fusion & Chevy Malibu To 1:01
Auto-parking ???
..get a Uber or Lyft ok?
my 2009 camry SE V6 would smoke the malibu, fusion.
And the Fusion sport would blow the doors off of your Camry🤣
Camry is definitely better. Didn’t hear anything about reliability reputation and fast forward to today Malibu and Fusion are discontinued…
I’ll take the 2.7 twin turbo EcoBoost fusion over the Camry trd or Chevy Malibu rs but if I wanted a hybrid that barely gets more mpg then a gas one I’d go with the Malibu it’s the best looking also all 3 of these host know nothing about cars if it wasn’t for the script there reading
How a 182hp Malibu beat the 188hp fusion is beyond me
Weight. The Fusion weighs 3,650LBS or more. Also gives it the nicest and most solid road feel. Way I see Hybrids are Slow vs Slow. I'm never going to drag race my Hybrid, but I do enjoy going around corners fast. Ford has that beat even on the oldest chassies of the bunch. Feels more like a German car than an American car, and the most beautiful and premium.
I’ll go with the Toyota all year round. Just can’t beat that reliability and the resale value on that Camry !!
That's not what I read but whatever .whatever country you live in toyotas work for you but in America we like alot of room and 4x4 and I pull my car to dragstrip so I need a big truck or SUV.i could never have a little shit box like that .I have room for six in my truck .and I use it for me to drive to work.even buy myself I could not handle riding in a car so small and boring.
I could never tell .toyota wins!
Japanese is always better
The Ford Fusion is going to be cancelled so it is no longer relevant.
تيوتا اولا
2018 camry went through puberty ! Like looking at this old one is like that shy nerdy kid that went though puberty after freshmen year to sophomore year.
I call foul. the honda should have been in this dust up.
