Train Simulator 2015 - Route Learning: Bristol to Exeter (HST)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 вер 2024
- In this next route learning video, we take an HST from Bristol to Exeter calling at Weston-super-Mare, Taunton and Exeter St. Davids. I have tried to include information on all speed changes, important gradients, stations and braking point.
Apologies for any lag or stutter due to recording with FRAPS.
**I made a mistake with the name of one of the stations, I should have said 'Nailsea and Backwell' but instead I said 'Nailsea and Blackwell'. Apologies :)

During a holiday in Somerset i visited weston super mare for the day. I was only there for 2 minutes, during that time i saw a GWR 166 on a taunton service. I stayed at a holiday park near brean. Brean's bypass point is when you're right next to the road starting 27:40, which i've actually been on
Thought i would point out the Stopping Point for WSM Isn't Actually right at the end of the platform for WSM It is Actually Normally Next to The First Plant Pot on the End of the station or so the rear power car is under the bridge at the Rear of the train!
I live in Weston-Super-Mare and that detailing is spot on
You were driving the Torbay Express the 1000 London Paddington to Paignton via Bristol Temple Meads. Calling at: Reading, Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa, Bristol Temple Meads, Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, Exeter St Davids, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Newton Abbot, Torquay and Paignton.
That Hi Point building - and the neighbouring snooker hall, Riley's - have since been pulled down - and Silk Mills level crossing, due to taxi passengers complaining about the meter ticking and ticking when the taxi is standing at the crossing waiting for trains, is now an overpass!
+Arthur Vasey Thanks for the information :)
+PTGRail 31:26 there's a caravan park near there called pontins and im going there in july, for the weekend
+shelby3024: Trains, BW And Commentary There's a Butlin's in Minehead - not that many Butlin's or Pontin's left any more - Butlins now only exist in Minehead and Bognor Regis - only Pontin's I know of is Pwllheli in North Wales!
+Arthur Vasey I stand corrected - there's a Pontin's in Brean Sands!
Pwllheli has no Pontins, but there is one in Prestatyn. In fact people related to me were up in Prestatyn the same time I was at Brean which was on my last day of school.
one funky route
@Alex Wright this is the Just Trains version direct from their website :)
Bristol Temple Meads - No Platform 14?
+London Midland Fan / shelby3024 there isn't one, 15 is only for HST which take up the whole platform whereas the rest are longer and can fit both HST and others together.
6 years out but is it preferable to get South Western Expressways (Just Trains) over this standalone route as both are currently on offer on steam? Thanks Artful (Somerset lad)
Nice videos but one question. At Worle junction around 18:50-19:00, how do you know what the maximum speed allowed is in the switch with no preliminary speedboard? By route knowledge only?
Really cool i have this route
I realy want wcml
im having a mini holiday in july and near highbridge and burnham station theres a caravan park called pontins. thats where im going
would love to see Glasgow central to Newton, cause it's the route i use
+Natsu Dragneel I shall bear that in mind :)

youre fire!!!
With TS 2015, I'm thinking of getting it for my birthday in 3 weeks, I have an old version of train simulator but unfortunately it's not compatible with my laptop as it's very old, would I be able to get the 'Cross City Birmingham route' with TS 2015 from Redditch to Lichfield Trent Valley with it from Just Trains? As it's £23.45 or something like that from the website?
+Adam Slimm There is no Cross City route currently compatible with TS2016/2016. I think the Cross City route on the Just Trains website might be a version for the old Microsoft Train Simulator :)
I have an irritating glitch on my Just trains Bristol to Exeter scenario / route., every time I get to Bridgewater on the down main, the game switches me to the UP main and I run wrong road all the way to Exeter! This is using quick drive and I have not yet bought all the add ons for the route. DMU is missing and the ballast wagons are missing. Any idea's what could be the issue?
+formidable38 unfortunately that route has a glitch where it does that in quick drive, and unless you manually change the settings it also does it in normal scenarios. The only way around it that I know is to create your own scenario.
+PTGRail Thanks for replying! helps me alot as im a newb to this sim and thought it was something i was doing wrong. ive noticed the problem does not happen in career drive, very strange. what settings do i need to look at to make it slighty better?
Isn’t Exeter st David’s on riviera line
which key do u use the for the brake
+TrainclipsHD To release the brakes you use the ; key. To apply you use the ' key. :)
