- AVV... I thought i might as well start with the best goal of all the videos I originally uploaded under the Arsenal Video Vault website over 10 years ago... Sylvain Wiltord's title winner at Old Trafford... except this time in its full version (unlike a few rehashed short versions or my original floating around the web).
Ah yes before people ask... back in 2002 video highlights were done by recording the entire game on VHS tape then running that through a video recorder into a pc video capture card. We were still a few years off freeview/stream capture cards.
The rest of the clips wont be this level of screen size and quality. They will be the original files recorded back in 1999-2003. I recaptured this about 3 years ago hence why it might seem to have a longer duration and larger screen size to the original.
'PUSHED OUT BY BARTHEZ, WILTORRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD' Never forget it, COYG
Kanu's leapfrog is always funny, I thought he actually jumped over Sylvain proper the first few times watching it.
wtf all this time I thought he really jumped over him lol
@@walterwhite1215 He did, but wiltord was on his knees
@@karanarjun1728 never knew he kneeled lmao that clears it up
WAIT WHAT
There goes my mood pff i always thought he jumped over him like we see in the video
Martin Tyler and Andy Gray made this goal so much better
***** ...and imagine fellow American-based Gooners, you can listen and watch the great Andy Gray and his long-time colleague/co-pundit Richard Keys on beIN Sports on their own show known as "The Keys And Gray Show", indeed the two best pundits in the biz are still going strong even in this day and age, the powers that be at Sky Sports are still kicking themselves over sacking Andy Gray and forcing Richard Keys to resign about 5 years ago over illegally recorded off-air comments made by them (something about female linespersons not knowing the offside rule and after watching the FIFA Women's World Cup last month I think Andy Gray and Richard Keys do have a legitimate case on that one) without their knowledge.
Back when Tyler actually had even an ounce of psssion for his job
@@mezykin I think he’s still got passion for his job but he seems to lack the same energy he once had which is probably down to age more than anything
12 straight wins to end the season and unbeaten away from home for the entire season
.....and with those Sega-sponsored away kits, in which they also wore for two matches in the 2002/03 season (with O2 sponsoring them and donning our new Arsenal crest they introduced in 2002/03), those being on December 26 2002 away to West Brom in long sleeves and April 13 2003 at Old Trafford vs. Sheffield United in the FA Cup SF in short sleeves, I DO own one of the short sleeved ones!!!, we pretty much set "The Gold Standard", unbeaten in League play every time we wore them!!! #COYG!!! Beat AFC Bournemouth tomorrow morning!!! (here in the USA West Coast the kickoff is at 5:30 am PST/8:30 am EST/1:30 pm BST) and I will hopefully be awake enough to watch it at 4:30 am PST/7:30 am EST for the "Premier League LIVE" prematch show on NBCSN here in the USA. It will also be on Sky for you fans over in the UK, whether you get to hear the iconic Martin Tyler grace the Gantry for it you'll have to find out.
And a goal in every game
"It's Freddie Ljunberg again pushed out by Barthez WILTOOORD"
"Arsenal have scored yet again in the premiership, but this could be the most crucial goal of all"
And it was ;)
0:10 The best thing Silvestre ever did for Arsenal
1:21 Wengergasm
I'm not even an arsenal and this moment gives me goosebumps
I remember being a Gooner sitting in the Man U section when this went in. I had to grab the leg of my Arsenal supporting mate sitting next to me so we didn't scream out and get a kicking. WE LOVE YOU FREDDIE!!!
What about afterwards
This season belonged to Freddie Ljumberg
@@adamstoweett6803 I have photos of me with red hair to prove it. So sad it didn’t work out for him as manager
Was a phenomenal player....underrated really...he won the PL player of the season that year...amidst Man United having dominant players....And he was also a great person.... yeah sadly it didn't work out as a manager but he's still got time...he can do it
@@adamstoweett6803 last season was the best atmosphere at Arsenal since those heady days. I didn’t think twice about renewing my season tickets this week. COYG
Martin Tyler laughing when Ljungburg got the ball cos he knew exactly what was coming. Aside from the Aguero goal its the best bit of commentary in Premier League history
Martin Tyler and Andy Gray made me fall in love with the Premier League with their passionate commentaries, no other commentators came close till today 2020!
Loved the Kanu frog leap lol
a perfect wrap-up for the Gunners that season.
miss andy grays commentary so much
Andy Gray's voice is so epic!
You better believe it
That is best moment For Arsenal, we have any best moment Anfield 89 , 92, 94 Winners cup, 98 and absolute 2003 at White hart Lane
That's SHITE Hart Lane, because of the shit club who we've clinched the League against TWICE in their backyard (1970/71 and 2003/04), and meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have still not won the league in 57 years and they've only won it twice (1950/51 and 1960/61), period. #MindThatGap #TottenhamAreShit #ShiteHartLane #ProudGooner
WWILLLLTTOOOOOOOOOORRD
I personally believe this team and season was better than the unbeaten season. There was more resilience and depth.
Wiltooooooooooooord.... What a moment. Legend. (Both Gray and Sylvain :) )
the best celebration of all time
Wiltorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Wiltoooooooorrrd!
Rewinding this a million times to see how every United supporter reacted to this goal. >: )
1 thing.... chilllllssssss, so proud too be a goonerr!!! Our miserable form today makes me wanna go rewatch this kinda video' s to get that smile on my face and tears of hapiness!!
WILTOORDDD what a moment ! oohh to be a gooner !!
21 years on and I still get emotional watching this
This is my favourite Arsenal shirt
kingaegis89223 Yes, mine too, a little fact for all you fellow Gooners, they actually brought that shirt back but only for TWO matches, a long-sleeve version when we played away to West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day 2002, and a short-sleeve version in April 2003 in the FA Cup semi-final match at Old Trafford (neutral site at the time due to the demolition and rebuilding of Wembley Stadium at the time) against Sheffield United, I happen to own that same short-sleeve version, but unlike the one seen here, with O2 as the then-new shirt sponsor (2002-06) and the all-new Arsenal crest that debuted in 2002-03, so COYF'n'G!!! LET'S THREE-PEAT AT THE 2016 FA CUP!!!
Ray Jackson Correct me if i'm wrong. If i'm not mistaken, this golden kit is the only kit in our history that we did not lose a match in. (The invincibles home kit was the same kit worn the season prior.)
Victor Ng We wear gold again this year, hope this will bring us luck :)
Wiltord is the definition of clutch
0:30 - When I saw this moment, I thought to my self, how on earth is a human being able to jump so high above a person's head? LOL
kanu is like a fucking kangaroo with that hop over wiltord.. both legends to me tho
Hanna Farah Sylvain Wiltord was a fuckin' BOSS!!! He seemed to always have a knack for the net, I don't see his and Freddie Ljungberg's hustle on that play in today's Arsenal squad, that's for sure.
exactly! you honestly can't compare it! wish they brought him back.
Top celebration!
Martin Tyler. One word commentator on league winning goals, 10 years apart
Want to see someone try to write all andy grey comments on this goal😂😂 this is gold
Old Trafford Champions Section
Jesus this brings back memories
Running it back today!!
Wiltooooooooordddd
ahhh the memories!
Martin Tyler :)
At the time of writing this, this video has 183k views. I think I’m responsible for about 33k of those, love this goal!
What was Wenger thinking when he signed Silvestre? Wasn't he not there?
I always thought he jumped over him standing up but Wiltord was on his knees haha
2nd best moment in prem history after arsenal 2-0 win at anfield in 89
Agreed but when we won the title at Anfield in 1989 it was still the old Football League Division One/First Division, the Premiership/Premier League wasn't born until 1992/93.
@The Answer That's SHITE Hart Lane, and even the new building is still on the same shit football ground where the old piece of crap once stood, therefore it is known as "New Shite Hart Lane" (I could give 2 shits and a fuck what Scums fans call it even for sponsorship reasons), #COYG!!
The Answer we’ve won the league at .. old trafford...anfield....Stamford bridge ... and shit heart lane
BRING ANDY GRAY BACKKKKKKKK
I miss Martin Tyler and Andy Gray voice
Sylvain Wiltord!!
KANU celebration was memorable
Andy Gay best co commentator
Gray. And yes he was the best and alongside Martin Tyler, together they were a seamless duo in the broadcast booth.
Why are there two different versions of this commentary ?
This was the official call LIVE on Sky Sports, a re-recorded call of this very same goal was made for the official 2001-02 Season Review VHS/DVD a.k.a. "Arsene Wenger's Magic Hat", yes I know it's bullshit, it might have something to do with copyright ownership of the audio, but yes, I have heard both that one and this and believe me there is a huge difference, I like this one far better.
brilliant
Wiltord with a messed up microphone
Wiltord is always big game player. In euro 2000 he saves france in last minutes...
Anyone know what chant United fans are singing at the beginning? Thanks a lot.
Its the arsenal fans..
oh Its arseeeenal arsenal fc, we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen...
It's been 13 years now...
14 years now
@The Answer Might be 18 years at this rate after losing to Leicester 2-0 yesterday and with Liverpool and City getting off to such a red hot start while we sputter off the starting blocks (yet again).
What happened to Martin Tyler man
We don't often beat man u but who cares when you win the league there.
Nah we've beat them a fair few times
This kanu and wiltord celebration beats any celebration in history! Top 5: 1. Kanu - wiltord 2. Auba and laca handshake 3. Henry- adebayor dance 4. Black panther auba 5. V. Persie - wenger hug
And every match a goal is scored
that celebration
❤
WILTOOOOORD
who was the united player that lost possession? #17 shirt
Silvestre
Oh, I saw it wrong, it was #27, no wonder why I couldn't figure it out.
The original Agueroooooooo.
This isn’t the original commentary
how? lol
WILTOOOOOOOOOORRD
0:29
wiltordddddddddddddddd
I think wiltord was arsenal's record signing back in the day lol.
good times......we used to be a strong team.
killer red When a bargain used to be a bargain and a great signing lol.
yeah exactly, back then we didn't muck around with transfers. even newcastle can scout the french league better than us.
killer red I would have chosen to stay at highbury so long we were title contenders rather than move to the emirates and 10 years without a trophy. Wenger should not have signed that 3 year contract. Now we have to put up with more of his shit and excuses.
yeah i hate it when fans mention saving up for the stadium is the reason why we couldn't compete. we didn't win shit when we had fab, RVP, nasri and adebayor anyway.
Whoever scouted Silvestre for Utd should’ve got sacked, he was soo shit for Man Utd
No henry no pires no tony adams no Bergkamp still won the game
Maybe, that's the reason they could won at old trafford.
beckhams fault lol
