Ooh, Diane (my middle name :) , please tell us more about your outdoor laundry routine- would love to get away from using the dryer. Thanks!!
This is one of the loveliest videos on your channel. I like how you make everyday things look and feel special. Thank you for doing this work.
Thank you for the lovely words, Rita!
My morning routine:
Walk. when I get home from my walk I make the bed. Make breakfast, then unload the dishwasher. Shower, Put in my load of laundry and then check to see what needs to be done that day.
You are truly inspiring, I just love your company. 💝🌻
Aww, thanks, Debbie!
Omg THEIR TUFTY EARS 😍🐿️
Those red squirrels "ears" are to die for! US squirrels not so much...
Thank you Diane for your “huggaly” motivation, and for your contagious positive energy!
You have a gift, you are sharing it, and It is very well appreciated! 👍🤗❤️
Aww, thanks, Amani!
Thanks Diane! Your cheerful attitude is delightful!
I have been using the squeegee in my shower ever since I first saw this video (a year and a half ago). This was a big game changer for me! No more scrubbing and chemicals to clean the shower door and panels. This is my best habit! Thank you 1,000 times!
My morning routine begins in my prayer room, spending time with God and His Word. XO Jackie
I love your squirrels!! Their ears with tufts of fur are so cute!
My morning routine (my son is 4) : wake up at 7:45 / Big hug with my son and husband / breakfast shared with all the family with music and laughing / dress up to shoes / open all windows of the house/ walk with my son to school / come back from school, launch the washing machine and in every room : quick tidy, make beds, fold and put away laundry, s&S, defroze things for what's planned for dinner. Usually it's done at 9:30 and I take alone my second cup of coffee and start my day in a clean place.
Diane, you have such a wonderful attitude. I love it. Sometimes I am a person who is quietly cheerful and others don't really get it. So, hooray to us! Thanks for sharing your routine. I know I benefit from seeing how others do "the usual".
Make Everything Hygge! These are words I can live by
I just found your channel .your great I'm 56this yr n forget everything too lol I am going threw menopause bad . my house is horrible now been . I'm hoping I can keep watching your vedios n it will help me ty you are great
Welcome here, Marylynn!
My morning is just by surprised if I am alive I am in awe of your organization and motivation
Yes, I now make my bed! I have decluttered my bedroom so tidying is quick. I got a cheap robovac just for the bedrooms, so I did a quick pickup under all beds and it is doing its first trip right now, so when I wake up tomorrow I know it is all done! Having the floors all clean is now as satisfying and important to me as a shiny sink! Thanks again!
my morning routine is on an atomatic pilote since 2017 thanks to you Diane. I followed you since march 2017 and that really helps me to have a tidy and clean home!! Bises et bon debut de semaine
A toi de même! 😍
My routine is like yours without the swim . Tea instead of coffee. Oats soaked in apple juice with sultanas. Flylady routine
Whole new understanding of "morning routine". Yours gets stuff done. Mine is about stillness: meditation, yoga, journaling. Wow, what a concept - get stuff done! Gotta incorporate some of this. Thanks!
Glad to be of help!
May the 4th be with you!
I couldn't resist finally making a comment. I'm finding everything very useful despite not being very good at it yet!
May the Fourth be with you, Kylie! Are you on Instagram? I did a Star Wars Reel today! 👏😁
I love how you set the plates onto the table for the next meal instead of putting them into the cupboard. Ideally, if one had two dish washers, one would never have to put the dishes into the cupboard again. Unless maybe some items that are rarely used. :-)
I loved watching your morning routine. I have a similar routine. I make the bed, feed the birds and squirrels and my cats, start a load of laundry, have coffee and then go for a walk. Once I’m home, shower, get dressed and do any chores that need doing. Love your cheerful attitude. ☺️
Thanks, Tina! 👋😃
Jam and cheese! Interesting combo,I'm not knocking it, just never heard of it. I'll have to try it one day.
😊
Motivational Monday~rah rah rah
Pom pom salute right back at you, Sherry!
I love your house! It's sunny & cheerful 🌞 I agree about smaller laundry baskets, I switched to smaller baskets for different load types, when it's full straight to the washer it goes.
I just found you and around 3 weeks ago the "FlyLady" system. I love my morning, afternoon, and before bed routines. They do make my days go easier.
I was diagnosed with liver cancer about a yr and a half ago. These routines got me up moving and living again. On the days that I have to carry around a chemo pump I feel bad that I can't get everything done. I'm coming to realize I am working. I'm working at getting rid of the cancer. Still doesn't feel right that I can't take a shower. ( Only have the pump for 2 days every 2 weeks.)
I'm loving your channel.
Welcome here, Mary! So glad your Routines are helpful! 👏😃
What a lovely video Diane. To be honest my Monday morning did not go great at first as Dh woke me early and I just felt the blahs early on in the day. Fortunately I did come downstairs to a shiny sink and I had done my mirrors and flat surfaces yesterday but it took me a while to get going. It is a bank holiday and Greek Easter here in Cyprus but I still wanted to start my week with the weekly homeblessing. We had breakfast and as I was drinking my coffee fortunately I noticed that Steph the secret slob had posted a video. It was so motivating and she used the saying how do you eat an elephant, one bite at a time ,so I just said to myself that if I just start and do something from my whb I would feel better.
Once I got started I was suprised that I vacuumed and mopped did some polishing and changed my sheets. I also did some zone cleaning where I swept and mopped my 2 patios and even decided to vacuum my 2 little Juliette balconies while I was in the bedrooms. I even gave some of my pot plants a water. I then cooked calamari baked potatoes and did a salad for lunch.
I didn't expect to want to do half of these things today but once I actually got moving the blahs seemed to disappear
The rest of the week will be so easy in comparison and I don't think I will wake up with the blahs tomorrow.
We are in lockdown here in Cyprus and can only go out once a day but thank goodness we are still allowed to swim in the sea if we want to.
Of course if I had chosen to go out today as it is a bank holiday and not done my whb I should not have felt disappointed or guilty but as I had nothing planned as we can't go to anyone's house because of lockdown I wanted to do something to free me up for the rest of the week.
I was really grateful for Steph,s timely video today to get me off my bahookie.
You both make such great videos and I know she found such a lot of motivation from your videos.
Thank you Diane for being so positive
Xxx from Margaret in Sizzling Cyprus
Aww, that's great that things are moving along for you now, Margaret! Yes, Steph is great! She has come such a long way since she watched my videos and she has made her UA-cam channel into a successful business! 👏😍
Way to go!
LOL x2 going. Morning routine done! Cleaning out bottom pantry drawer. Hmmm interesting things growing! Thanks!
Your red squirrels are adorable! We have a family of grey squirrels in our garden. The dig up all my potted plants and they just nibbled through my solar string lights. Pesky things! But I'm choosing to be cheerful!
Hi Lisa! Yes, the grey type are pretty destructive! We love our quiet red squirrels 😍🐿
Wonderful as always! Thanks
This has helped me so much, I struggle with routines, partly because of my varying work schedule (24hr shifts). Thank you!!
I always make coffee and unload the dishwasher. I tidy up the house if it didn’t get done the night before while everyone else is still asleep. Usually I have a video on in the background as it’s my time to myself. In the summers, I head out to the garden early to get that done.
That sounds like a great routine, Jess!
Lovely video! I did my first week of flylady. My dh appreciates the coffee being ready in the morning as he gets up before I do. He left me a lovely note of thanks ❤️ Thank you, Diane!
How lovely, Awilda!
I've got a 2 year old and a 6 month old. Routines are mostly out the window for the next several months! I do my best to get the kitchen taken care of every day.
Great to focus on the kitchen, Suzy! And when you have small kids, the Top of the Hour trick works great for moving forward on your routines!
Sometimes that's all we get a mom's! Here, if we get the kitchen 'closed' (sink clean) AND the floors picked up in the evening, that's a big win! (I've got a 5yo and 2yo, homeschooling so I get it!!) Give yourself grace! I'm reminding myself too 😉
Suzy, I commend you for keeping your priorities straight! Diane’s top of the hour trick works, take small steady steps, no perfectionism, and enjoy your precious kiddos, they grow fast!❤️❤️❤️
Love your red squirrels !
Lovely ☺️
Always inspiring.. these videos are keeping me moving forward, even if it is a bit slower than before. One day at a time❤️😘❤️😘
Good tips!
This was very helpful. Thank you.
I want to be like you! You have a super peaceful demeanor.
Thank you😍
Love this
Wonderful, thank you!
Morning chocolate! I love this!
Thank !you Diane, for inspiring me to rethink and refresh my morning routine for summertime.
So interesting to watch your daily routing in Denmark! Nice sharing!
Excellent. Thank you. X
Thank you so much Diane. I loved this video. It was such fun to see new views and feel your much loved presence again in my day.
Holy cow! Eastern Kentucky grl who came across a post that mentioned you and I am so happy to have found you. You are simply adorable and love your content.
Welcome here, Becky - and thank you so much for your kind words!
Happy May (hygge!) 4th, Diane
That was fun - thanks! I have a similar routine and life is just better with it. Even if I don't get extra missions done, doing the dailies keeps me on top and ready for anything.
My morning routine during the week begins with getting ready, wiping down bathroom, getting dressed, making bed, grabbing a LOL to take downstairs and start, take my meds, fill my water cup, and pick up kitchen (I would do it at night but my youngest has a different schedule and so my kitchen actually never closes). I am trying to get back into the routine of doing yoga at 7a but I've been failing so far. I'm still working on that. I spent the first three months of this year decluttering and now I'm working on establishing routines in a Flylady-ish way but with my own spin. I'm on my 2nd round of zone cleaning and I'm very excited! My house is feeling very relaxed!
I love your channel!
My morning routine is similar, instead of sea swimming I walk my dog. I work outside the home so I have a bit of a deadline to when I need to leave for work. Thanks for the video, we are have cooler mornings and evenings in New Zealand, so summer is heading your way!
Thank you for your gift of positive energy I look for you when I need a nudge and it works!
I love that everything is what works for you and what is easy! No stress.
Thank you Diane for your Motivational Video. Always a pleasure to hear you on a Monday morning. I do follow a morning routine, make my bed, shower, breakfast and walk.
I am a big fan of that movie! I love the coffee mug and your work out shirt! ❤👍😊
I adore watching your videos. I'm not the earliest riser; so, your little nudge, "Wakey, wakey, rise and shine . . . " just might be the extra motivation I need this month. Thank you!!
Good morning and happy May to you💐
Happy May to you too!
The ears on those squirrels are a bit different than the squirrels here in Virginia, USA. Thanks for a great video!
I agree having a small hamper encourages daily LOLs 👍
Absolutely beautiful 🥰 I pray I get my videos half as nice as yours. Beautiful ❤️
Thanks for sharing this great video
Glad you enjoyed it, Sally!
I like your coffee mug.
I rise EARLY, between 3-4am, and I do have a morning routine, helps keep the day flowing smoothly and I LOVE walking into my kitchen in the morning seeing the clean sink, etc. Makes me want to start my day.
Woo hoo, you are an early riser!
Wow! You must go to bed at 7pm right in order to get your 8 hours of sleep? Is that your natural body clock or is it for work that you do that? I get up at 6am and that’s plenty early enough for me 🤣 I could never do 3am!! 😂😂
@@whoatemychocolate4222 It's my natural clock. I haven't used an alarm clock in years. I go to bed around 10pm. No matter what time I go to bed I automatically wake up about 4am. I get 4-6 hours a sleep, which works well for me. I only sleep 8 hours if I'm sick. 😁
@@jinxie228 that’s great! 😀 If you wake up naturally, you’re obviously getting all the sleep you need. You must be able to get so much done in those wee hours before the rest of the world stirs!
So grateful for ALL your videos. I watch at least one every morning while I’m getting ready. Your attitude, advice, and rah-rah-rah starts my day off the way I want it to start and keeps my energy going in the right direction. Thank you many times💕
You are so welcome, Lisa!
It's funny but the laundry is one thing I am always on top of! Other things, not so much!
Hello from Scottsdale, Arizona. Well I've been stumbling through my morning routines recently. So nice to see you and hear that wonderful upbeat encouragement from you!
One foot in front of the other.😊👍
Have a great day, Beth!
My husband just retired after many years of weekly travels, we both are enjoying new and different daily routines!! Thanks for all the wonderful posts!
I so enjoy your videos when you show snippets of your daily life! As for my morning routine ... well, I've been hit or miss and let it slip these past few months. Today's proof: I had 5 loads of laundry to complete instead of just one. Yikes! This was a gentle kick in the "bahookie" to get myself back on track.
Your home is so beautiful Diane! I loved your routine - gave me a new idea for mine!
Oh, great, Robin! Hope it works out!
What a great idea of picking out your clothes for the next day while folding laundry. I will give that a try.
I adore your content and am so glad I found you! You are consistantly inspiring to me and responsible for me starting the fly lady system and changing my life! Thank you for sharing and being uniquely and wonderfully you!! 💜
Woo hoo, so glad it's working for you! 🤩
You have such beautiful morning sunshine in your kitchen. Love your garden-shoe basket and mirrors on the fridge. Keeping things off the floor makes for easy floor maintenance. Morning routines happen smoothly when my evening routine sets me up for the morning. I am 63, retired and enjoy easy mornings. Weather in Chicago is finally warm enough to crack windows open overnight. This is my signal to switch to sumer linens, clothes and shoes. Unpacked bathing suits yesterday and organized my sumer sandles in my closet. Washing the heavy blankets and putting out the white bedspread today. Feels fresh. Having coffee and enjoying sunshine and spring bird songs now. When laundry goes into dryer I will do my exercise routine. Spreading out WHB this week so I can focus on seasonal things like window curtains, shower curtains and prepping the air-conditioned. Feeling very optimistic. Loving this time of year. ❤🧺❤🧹❤🪣❤🛒❤🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Wakey, wakey------how my mother used to wake us in the morning........she was from Glasgow
Nice memory.
Breakfast chocolate- what a great idea!!
I'm starting to use the Fly Lady system. It's so helpful to have a detailed list, especially when I return home from the gym/pool. Thanks for your enthusiasm and consistency!
So glad you're finding the system helpful, Michele!
Ha! I knew it! You are totally living your truth! You’re an amazing ambassador for type ones! 😁💕 Hi! ❤️ Thanks for the great minimalist/hygge inspiration! Big hello from Canada. 🇨🇦
Hello in Canada! 👋🤩🎉
Your morning routine: brilliant. My morning routine: struggle bus.
Hi from sunny hot AZ, your kitchen with the sunlight coming through is so pretty..and your garden is so lovely...little miss green thumb! you are part of my morning routine, always bring a smile to me when you have a video out....we are about 9 hrs apart so my mornings are your evening...
Enjoy your day, Elizabeth...I'm heading to bed soon 👋😃
nice one dear
Thank you for prompting some lovely memories for me! First video of yours I've watched. Came over from Minimal Mom. You used the phrase "spend a penny" which took me right back to my dad, who originated from Manchester. Miss him dearly every day. Love your positivity and cheer. Subscribed! xo
Welcome here, Hilary! 😂😃
I never really had a morning routine until I started following the FlyLady system. Now, I feel like I would be lost without doing them😄I’m still working on my afternoon and evening routines, but baby steps! Love your encouragement 🥰
Go you, Shara!
So different when you do not have to leave the house. Love your relaxing routine 🤗.. Will be perfect when I retire!
My "morning routine" starts in the evening (some of it before "shin my sink!" eg food prep) and includes checking calendar, prepping as much as I can for next day such as kids school breakfasts, lunches, and sometimes dinner (if I know I won't be back from work until 1730.. Because we have dinner at 1800 due to my youngest needing to go up to get ready for bed at 1915, for lights out at 2000). Also prep what I need to take to work, etc.
In the morning if I have a few mins after finishing fresh part of food prep for school breakfasts and lunches, I start to empty dishwasher which I turn on as part of my evening routine. In the morning we are up at 0630, all out the house at 0715, school drop off between 0745-0800 and at work between 0815-0830 (traffic jam dependant). I do tea to go, to drink en route, and have a make-up bag to go (so if I didn't have time in morning before leaving the house, I can do it in the car park at work) . I have alarms on my phone to keep us "on track" eg, wake up, get up dress etc, breakfast, shoes/coats on, at the car to drive off etc.. Saves constantly looking at the clock!..
But my daily, weekly mornings are rarely the same... Sometimes I have doctors or therapy appointments first for my youngest before he goes to school. If I do not have early appointments at work, I squeeze in errands eg my appointments, shopping etc because as a single mum, I can't do it in the evenings due to the kids.. So a "daily routine" is impossible for me, because each day is usually totally different!
Hi Diane! Still love your videos. ❤️🥰
I'm so glad, Linda!
Thanks Diane. Sipping tea outside as I type this. I need to get moving though as I should be in the road by 8.20. Morning routine: laundry routine on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Make lunches. Eat breakfast Shine sink. Drink tea. Watch UA-cam. Get dressed. Go! Making beds usually happens later when I get home😄
Breakfast chocolate!❤️
I have a whole video on Danish breakfast chocolate, Dena! 👋😁 🍫 ua-cam.com/video/s2SMNd2EFgs/v-deo.html
I got from watching to sort the laundry in the morning but got annoyed when it wasn't ready till later sometimes when I'm busy doing my next thing. Now I us the timer, load the machine the night before and set it to finish for a good time that suits me the next morning. If I'm working in the morning I can set it earlier or to finish late when I'm finished. This way it's not sitting getting stale on there machine.
I've added an extra step to my evening routine which is turn the washing up bowl upside down. The kids are too lazy to turn it the right way so stuff goes in the dishwasher. Not sure why they have suddenly started to leave things in the sink, it hasnt been an issue till lately.
Maybe pandemic burnout. I know I’m feelin it and letting things pile up a little more than I used to
I'm still planning :-)
Breakfast chocolate?! What a great idea!!
My morning is very similar to the one in the video. At 8:30 I have to start working though, and I am lucky and happy to have a full time job from home (even before the pandemic). Instead od making cofee breaks I do small 2-3 minutes tasks in the house, and if all planets are aligned I go for a walk instead of having lunch.
We have a cat and every morning I make his feeding area clean because he fiercly resists my attempt to train him to shine his bowl.
Light frost last night, luckily I had brought the tender plants in! Monday Focus done and just copper to polish for zone 2. Son sent me a mini serve Keurig that is perfect for us and we passed on the big coffee pot. Today is trash/recycling night so the house has been sifted through. My recycling is loaded in the car to drop off on the way to the hardware store. We have the same breakfast , sometimes with yogurt. We go through the same routines pretty much but in a slightly diff order. Enjoy your day!
You too, Jeanne! Yes, some night frost here too but hopefully warming up now!
Good morning! That is what I needed to hear. I like to mix my routine up as well, but always felt conflicted because I mixed up the FlyLady order all the time. No more!
You should absolutely do what works best for you, Lisa! 👏😁 The Flylady system is a framework, that's all!
😎
This looks so peaceful... I have a one year old and 4 year old and it feels impossible to have such a hygge routine. Do you have any suggestions? :)
I need a bit of variety in my routines too. Great seeing Tweet and Sparky!
Your bathroom really looks like something from out of a magazine! I've been meaning to ask for ages, those little hanging silver hearts: are they simply charming decore or do they serve another purpose like a scrubber or aromatherapy item?
Hello, dear Ellen! Yes, the hearts are purely for decoration 😃💝
You new friend from Oman ،Um Turki and I am new FlyLady baby 🥺
Lovely video
Great video. Where did you get your pink vest? 💕
Asos 👋😁
Hi Diane, wondering if you have videos of only the outfits you wear all week. You have such a beautiful way to put them together I would like to see how you do it, and get inspiration from you. Some days I just watch your videos to see your outfit. All your videos are nice, but your outfits are my favorite. So very classy, cheerful and happy! Maybe if you create a video with your outfits for the week every week that would be lovely!!! Greetings from Texas.
Hi Areli! Yes, I have several "weekly outfit" videos on my Dressing Your Truth playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLxIYCyTLBED-_AxzW73x4ZWtikVFAvDQW.html and here's a recent one with a month's worth of outfits ua-cam.com/video/vRzo-wuV-Xg/v-deo.html Plus I post my outfits weekly on my blog... dianedenmark.com Hope that helps!
@@DianeinDenmark Thank you Diane!!!
Thanks to you I now always get dressed before I head downstairs even if I’m not going to work. It just encourages me to get on with things somehow. My next task is always to unload the dishwasher while the coffee machine does it’s thing ( it forces me to be quick about it). Some easy wins before I’ve even had my coffee.
Go you, Julie! Sounds like a great routine!
