I love how she is using such minimal amount of products. Seriously less is more.
I've seen influencers taking out insane amount of products which are harder to blend in or wash out.

Thank you, I haven’t used shampoo or conditioner in maybe 15 years. I make my own Castile soap bars and use that for my body wash and hair, I dilute apple cider vinegar with water and give my hair a few squirts after washing. I dilute the about 30ml of vinegar with a litre of water so generally I don’t rinse it out. My hair is thick and healthy. I’m going to make your body butter it sounds great. I do a lot of international travel and I find my skin gets very dry, pure olive oil rubbed in seems to be much better than any commercial products.

Hi Connie - Enjoyed this video except for exfoliating with baking soda. I’m a little older than you so my skin tends to be dry. What I use (when I think of it!) is simply egg white from one egg. I whisk it so it’s frothy then I use my clean fingers to dab it onto my clean skin. I leave it on for about 1/2 hour (you will feel it tightening), then I rinse off with water. If your skin tends to be dry, you can add a teaspoon of honey to the egg white. Leaves your skin smooth and clean.

It was so interesting to me when I first saw a US friend washing her hair everyday. We/I used to wash it once a week, and now about the same as Connie. Every 3-5 days depending on its condition.

I've cut my own white hair for years. For the last two years I 've been meaning to drastically change the style and need to get it done by a professional, but can't find a good hair stylist. When I find one, you'll be the model😃 Love your hair! Fresh, youthful (as the whole of you are), easy to maintain.

Definitely switch to a natural toothpaste like Boka or Risewell! Also a natural sunscreen like Hynt Sun Prep ! As for hair care - the brand under Luna is incredible and all natural. For skincare, the brand Kossma is the best ever !!!

Glad to find another person who uses Apple cider vinager as their conditioner. People think it's so weird 😆 it helped so much with my dry, itchy scalp. Since using it I've never had a problem and my hair is so clean and bright and healthy

I am simplifying my skin care routine and woredrobe. I started using grapeseed oil on my face after washing and it looks so much better! Two steps and that is it! It soaks right into my skin, is moisurized and gives it a dewey look. I cant use retinol as my skin is too sensitve, so I decided to just embrace my wrinkles. I am 58 with acne prone sensitive skin.

Hi Connie! Talk about timing! I was explaining to a friend today that as I finish a product, whether for myself personally or for the house, laundry, etc, my intention is to replace each one with a home made product. I love your natural routine for your face & hair! Do you do the same for your household products? Thank you!

I avoid washing my face ( unless I wash my hair that day) and instead use some witch hazel on a cotton pad to clean it. It helps that I don’t wear makeup- so there’s less to clean ;) my skin feels great because I don’t strip it from natural oils.I sometimes use face oil from Badger for moisturizing (love their products!)

Connie you are so inspiring and really walk your talk wrt simple living! We love your body butter and now I want to try your hair care regimen! My husband has Parkinson's and terrible neuropathy in his feet. I was buying a very expensive neuropathy cream and the active ingredients were Menthol, tea tree oil, and Arnica Gel that was $60 for a 4 oz jar. I whipped up a jar of your body butter and added tea tree oil, Arnica Gel and Vicks mentholatum to it and it has worked even better than the expensive cream! I am pleased because I figured that jar cost me around $1 and is so simple to make and replace! I am really getting a lot of value from your Channel! Thank you!

@gailtester8749 - I hope that you and your husband are doing well; wanted to mention that heavy metal chelation (various substances, various modes of administration including DIY creams and even simpler methods) may improve his situation if clearing toxins is one of his underlying issues. Darko Velcek's youtube channel and blog also has some interesting insight, and he has at least one video on utilizing one of my favorite detoxifiers as needed during his extremely natural ''plasma'' hydration-detox recommendations.

I also quit using expensive shampoo and conditioner (Aveda) after watching this Japanese dermatologist's UA-cam video of naturally regrowing hair. Since he was not selling anything and simply suggested that I quit using those expensive products, I immediately stopped using Aveda. The first 30-days were not pleasant as I could small that dirty hair odor on my self and pillow. But when that phase ended, my hair was so healthy and I didn't lose as much hair any longer. You were so right about using natural products on your hair and skin. I am also a kid of the glorious 80's. However, that vibe still remains within myself as long as I stay true to myself. You are the epitome of such practice. Looking forward to your Yoga incorporated videos if possible. Thank you for the wonderful advices!

As a runner I discovered Alumier md moisture mat in shade amber. It is a physical sunscreen. It is dissolved in the hand and then applied to the face and neck otherwise it will go on white.
It is sweatproof. It take it off with coconut oil and a hot flannel. No other cleanser budges this better than coconut oil IMO.

Hi Connie, I use the same rose hip seed oil. I only wash my naturally curly hair twice a week, I used to wash it daily, but have not for two years now, your hair really gets accustomed to less hair washing. Twice a week I make a mask with coconut oil, organic rosemary essential oil, and a little black castor oil, I leave it on my hair for one hour and then shower and shampoo, I find my hair does not shed with this routine..The rose hip seed oil has allowed me to stop using foundation. I gifted it to my daughters for Christmas stocking stuffers and they love it to, this liquid gold is a facelift in a jar.

When I went organic 6 yrs ago, I noticed 3 yrs ago my hair texture changed....I lost my swirly hair...my receeding hairline was gone and it felt great..I have thick semi dry swirly hair... I use Pacifica products for sunscreen (glass bottle) and cleanser....for shampoo & conditioner im still using a bar for both and so far so good and low waste... I exfoliate with coconut oil and epsom salt blend and my face I use a mango butter with epson salt....I dont wear make up just mascara but Im 52 now and have lost my lashes so I found a mascara online specifically for short lashes.... I also diy my body lotion as I have VERY dry skin....I am looking into a natural retinol now hoping to find one soon....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO....Felices Pascuas 💚

🙌🙌🙌 yes! I also wash my hair with baking soda and vinegar. Been doing it for 7 years or so and love it. And I only wash my hair once a week. It barely gets greasy at the end of the week. Sometimes doesn’t at all. I’ve been washing my hair once a week also for about 7 years. I have long hair and this works great. Before, when I washed it everyday, it would get greasy by nighttime. So cool hearing about your similar hair routine.
Also I’m excited to try some of your skin care habits. Love learning about simple and natural skin routines. Simple especially. Don’t have the patience for too many steps.
A face SPF: I just recently started using Ilia’s tinted face oil. It’s a zinc spf and the oils are nourishing for your skin. I do also use the heavier/oilier sunscreens but the Ilia tinted spf is not like that. It’s so light. I don’t notice it at all. Super happy using it.
Also your skin looks great!! I definitely noticed how good your skin looks when I first watched one of your videos. (I’ve been binge watching your channel 😸.) thank you for the great content you’re making: genuine & helpful. 🙏

you look amazing, you irradiate health. i am torn with only one thing. I have read somewhere that sunblocks are full of bad chemicals and that blocking the sun also blocks that vital vitamine D... it is true my skin has some expression lines but overall if one's skin is not too fair or sensitive I prefer to stay away from sunblocks.

Just I thought to add one point here when you drink water in the morning . You can add little bit of lemon , few small bits of garlic or apple cider vinegar .

I've been using Fruit of the Earth face moisturizer with sunscreen for a few years now. I may not wear any makeup on some days but I never go outside without this moisturizer. Love how calm your videos make me feel. Keep up the awesome work!

Nice tips, I use Viori soaps on my hair (wash & condition). I have found over the last several months that I do not have to wash my hair as often. I wash it once a week. I too have completely gray hair with no color so I try my best to use very natural products on my hair. I wish I could use Dr Bonners soap, I just don’t like the bath film it leaves everywhere. Thank you ❤️

@@ConnieRiet I did not get on their automated shipping system because I find the bars are lasting a while. I also purchased the soap holders (bamboo).

I tried your shampoo mixture except I use the Lavender Dr. Bronners already so I made it with the lavender. I also did the baking soda exfoliant on my face. It made my face really soft. I like Cerave moisturizer with sunscreen and the Cerave
Sunscreen as well as their pm moisturizer.
I have also made a face mask using pure honey and a spoonful of Quaker oats. I have to rinse it off outside, because I am afraid of clogging the sink
But the honey and Quaker oats really makes my face soft and moisturized. It's all natural too.

I clip my armpits and then shampoo them in a herbal oil scented in lavender before I curl them. This is of course after i spend the day laying in a field of clover and buttercups and doing yoga.

I love ‘MooGoo Cover up buttercup’ SPF15 for daily use. Quality ingredients, moisturising, and it blends well on its own or with makeup. (I found several other zinc creams over drying).
I like ‘Invisible Zinc’ tinted SPF30 for outdoor activities.
For reference, I have sensitive skin and I prefer single-ingredient or homemade skincare.

Hey Kylee, Thanks! Yes, I wear bare minerals powder, burts bee's blush, eyeshadow and lip gloss and mascara. I don't apply very much of any of it. Many days I choose not to wear any make-up.

I must say my skincare routine is even more minimal than yours. I use organic rosehip oil to cleanse with a warm wet face cloth, then once a week I exfoliate with a homemade organic gentle scrub (I make it myself) then I moisture with a good organic day/night moisturiser...that’s it. 😉 I have normal skin though, it used to be oily til I hit 50 then it went normal. I’ve been cutting my own hair for about 40 yrs. I’ve tried several times to go ala natural with my colour (I used to dye my hair black) but I often play around with plant based semis. But now I’m on track with my natural grey. 😉 I think I’m done now though with colour 🤔

Growing out colored hair into naturally grey, can be a long process. It took my hair about 18 months to finally grow out.
      Best of luck!

Awesome tips! May I ask your age...you look AMAZING! I'm 52 and am always looking at women's necks bc i feel mine is saggy for my age. Truth be told, I'm usually a little envious that MOST women don't have this probelm at my age. However, I am usually thinner than most my age and probably have less fat in that area. This is the second video I'm watching of yours. 💖

Hi Connie, I clicked the affiliated link for the facial cleanser but then I decided to get the complete set so I just want to make sure that you get the affiliate credit for that??!! Thank you I was just looking for a new line I was using a vitamin c line before that I really liked but it became too costly and this is much more affordable and it looks like very good quality.
