I like how you made the bug into a feature
Thanks! Still didn't turn out how I wanted, but at least it wasn't totally ruined
@@CookWoodworks ye
I've been binge watching these, thanks for making wood work look entertaining lmao.
Me too... It's funny how they're all the same, but slightly different, and mostly bowls, but you can't help but watch them all.
Dang man what you doing with all these turnings?!? Id say you set for Christmas gifts lol. You get a lathe project, you get a lathe project, you all get lathe projects!
Hahahahaha! Speaking of projects, your blank is done, I've just been too busy/lazy to ship it. Soon!
Awesome im gearing up for it. Im actually working on the edit of my next video. Going to be a goblet with a "twist" should have it up this evening or tomorrow.
just my 2 cents....i like it! the color and grain pattern are nice, and i think you turned it into something pretty.
Thanks!
I live it. I’ve been waiting for a G3 nova chuck my wife is trying to save up to buy me and I’m so excited. I’ve been waiting on one for years. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Thanks Patrick! G3 is great, you'll love it

Naught schmaught Drew. It really turned out well (pun intended). I really loved the eucalyptus. -Mike
p.s. at least you showed the flight attempt *before* the slo-mo. Did I say I get a bad bad feeling when I see turners switch to slo-mo ?
Thanks Mike! And yeah I wanted to keep the element of surprise haha. I learned what happened when you make a tenon too shallow
@@CookWoodworks believe you me, I am paying attention to tenons from now on *eek* -Mike
What sort of wood is it? It has a reddish hue. And sanding sugar? That’s a new one on me.
It's euctalyptus
You're doing well mate. The wood looks like Yew but I might be wrong!
Thanks! It's California eucalyptus. Wish I could find yew here, it always looks so cool turned.
@@CookWoodworks It's beautiful, love the colour and grain. I recently started woodturning (2 months ago) and I'm thinking of uploading my progress too. I've been watching your stuff for a few weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. Keep up the good work !
@@DavidHoldenWoodturning Do it! And let me know when you post it, I love watching stuff from people around the same experience as me.
@@CookWoodworks I will, thanks mate.
@@DavidHoldenWoodturning David, I'll subscribe. If you promise to post you turnings. 👀 Like Drew says "I love watching stuff from people around the same experience as me" -Mike
Does anyone starting out now use traditional woodturning tools or is it all carbide tips it would have taken you a minute or two with a traditional roughing gouge to get it to the diameter you wanted
What brand are the carbide tools that your using ?
Nice grain and finish, what species wood is it.
It's euctalyptus
What type of wood is it? It looks great.
It's euctalyptus
Rip tree
Ye
Why scrapers? Doesn’t anyone use gouges anymore?
Great job my friend. I think You should stop to be a beginner 😁
When You was working with dremmel I heard a Minion which was doing 'ble, ble, ble, ble...' 🤣🤣
Thank you! I still make plenty of beginner mistakes, but maybe I'm an "advanced beginner" now ;)
@@CookWoodworks OK. Let it be a advanced begginer, but not for long ok? 💪😊
