I agree with Rodney below, what a wide spectrum of artist / music you covered in your "jam time". That Epi was definitely up to the task! 👍👍Question for you - how do you feel about comparing your Epi Gold 335 to your AIO SH-355 as far as neck profiles, and tone. Just curious if one of them has larger neck, and how they compare to each other. I have an older Tradition brand 335 style and the neck is just too small for me and causes me wrist pain when playing for any period of time.
Brother Mojo...thank you for watching;) The Epiphone 335 has literally a "baseball bat" size neck...a "50's neck" I believe it's described for this model. Initially, it took me by "surprise" as the only other guitar I have that "feels" that way is the 1950 Broadcaster...like holding a "telephone pole" in your left hand...but something I am so use to that is no issue for me...but surprising when I received the 335 as I just wasn't expecting that size neck. In just a short time, it has become "extremely comfortable & familiar"...and I enjoy this "feel"...and had forgotten just "how much" I do as, although the Broadcaster has a similar feel, I don't play it every day. As for the AIO 335...the neck sounds like it would be similar to your "Tradition" brand 335...very "slim, tapered"...a "modern feel" for sure...even to the point of the "scale" of the neck "feeling" shorter...which it very well may be...although I have never checked the "scale" measurements. Overall...this Epiphone 335 "feels" like an old, bulky thick necked Les Paul...of which I have played quite a few that had that "big baseball bat" neck...and for me...I love that "feel". I hope this is helpful...and I hope your wrist pain is something that you can "work around" and eliminate...a very "hindering" issue for us guitar pickers. I use several creams...including a CBD-based cream along with a DMSO cream...and both...although "temporary"...truly help in the short term.
