I (Nikki Phillippi) have uploaded a Q&A video, answering 50 questions!! It has been so exciting to share my pregnancy journey with you guys and answer questions you may have, such as my views on homeschooling and a natural birth! I am beyond grateful to be a first time mom, mom to be. As a vlogger, I try to upload week by week of my pregnancy such as at 25 weeks, 26 weeks, and now through my third trimester. I feel so grateful to be a traditional Christian women and stay at home wife, as well as work from home in Nashville, TN. - Навчання та стиль
I struggle with parents who immediately want to put their child in homeschool without even meeting that baby first. I think it depends on the child and your living situation, because if that kid is super social, and the school system near you is actually good, then why not allow them to thrive in that environment?! Not everything and everyone is the enemy.

always telling me growing up, that if you wait till your ready or for the perfect time to have a baby, you won’t have one. They were so right! The perfect time doesn’t exist. You just make it work. I’m so excited for you!
Breast augmentation does not rule out breastfeeding. Get support! There is a lot of help (often free!) out there.
Look for an LLL (La Leche League) meeting near you! ❤️

Bringing a little human into the world is the most magical thing ever. Motherhood is not easy, but it's so natural, and I know that you will do great!! Cheering you on! So so happy for you💕
What you said about supporting your child as they pursue knowledge and education is really beautiful. I think that absolutely applies if you homeschool, but it also applies if you send your child to a charter, private, or public school. Kids benefit so much from having that kind of support at home, and if you are not the one teaching your child full time, their teacher will thank you so much for providing that kind of support. (I say this both as someone who was homeschooled from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and someone who is planning on becoming a middle school teacher.)
I love that you partically addressed some issues people have with young living! The amount of questions and worries people have about mlms are insane! Which is also totally understandable.
Megan Trinastic she didn’t address the fact that the founder is a child murderer.

I love that y’all are planning on homeschooling! We have a 2.5 yo and we are starting some preschool activities with him. It’s so much fun! Also, love the advice of just jumping in and starting something you want to try!! I get caught up in trying to know it all first.
It’s nice to see that you covered an array of topics, Nikki. I appreciate the randomness and what you’d call tangents. You seem very zen right now with this pregnancy which is super encouraging.

I was homeschooled k-12 and it was the best thing my mom could have done for us. In my opinion... it’s really gives you a lot of control of what you want your kids to understand and know and believe to the core of who they will become. We turned out just fine and love our family dynamic. Hope you find encouragement in that! If you ever need advice dm me. Or my mom... she has tons of great advice :)

i found it interesting how you mentioned whole body health, as a medical student in the UK this is something that we are being taught is very important, for example about how people with good mental health often heal faster etc.

I loved hearing your answers and perspectives. I also wanted to do things in my career before having kids and then my views evolved to where I'm not sure but I might wish I'd had kids sooner? My husband Drew and I were also in an mlm for over ten years and learned a lot from it- the teaching and money we received is likely why we were debt free before we got our mortgage. I like that you are doing what you are comfortable with and I love how you explained it without apology.

Are you comfortable with the fact that the guy who started YL murdered a child?
If I believed it was actual murder no... but I don’t believe that 🤷🏻♀️
@@NikkiPhillippi I mean, he held a newborn child under water for over an hour, so not totally sure how that *isn't* murder, but I suppose we have different definitions.
If you feel you have the true whole story, why did he randomly decide with his wife to just murder his baby? He has other children...a whole family. I believe from things I have read and people I have spoken to that there is much more to that story. So no, I do not believe he murdered his baby. Maybe my mind will change one day but that’s my opinion as of now
@@NikkiPhillippi She trusted him because he was a "medical professional" even though he was practicing medicine without a license, and was arrested for it/plead guilty the following year. I don't think he killed the child with malice intent which is why he wasn't convicted. They don't distinguish between "held a baby underwater" vs "allowed a baby to be underwater for an hour" but they are the same to me. She would've lived if he had just ... picked her up. That just seems like common sense? Does it not? I've read that he wanted to prove that babies could do that, but I can't find any evidence of that fact. The coroner stated the baby was healthy and had she been born under actual medical supervision with a conventional delivery she would have lived. So yes I believe he killed child due to gross negligence and

Keep up with your exercise routine. It's going to help you so much during the delivery. Walk, stretch, or whatever. Just do it! LOL. I had a nurse midwife with my 2nd child and it was the best experience. You may fall in and out of focus during labor. Tell Dan that he needs to help you keep focused. Certain things will help at one point but not as the labor progresses. It's all going to be worth it.

Hispanic doctors come here to practice and they feel frustrated because they can’t prescribe drugs that actually treat/cure diseases. Here in the States it’s all about treating symptoms not the source of the problem. It’s sad and frustrating.

I do use Young Living oils, I agree they are very expensive! I order the same ones all the time but also use other oils from well know companies that are equally just as good!

PS. We homeschooled both our kids (one since 4th & the other since 2nd grade) Our daughter is now a sophomore in a Christian college and our son graduates this year. The time we’ve had with them has been invaluable-I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to homeschool and they are very well rounded, smart, kind and social people:)

Also, I was going to tell you that one of the colleges our son is looking into is in your hometown- THe Masters University. If he chooses that one he’d only be a couple of hours from home!! (Our daughter is in Pasadena so she still close- in fact, she came home a few weeks ago and surprised me! I love that she told everyone but wanted it to be a surprise for me 🥰

No one will care about your son more than you will, so I think homeschooling would be great for him as well as you and Dan. That’s not to say that there aren’t amazing teachers in private and public schools, but if you can homeschool, then you can be in charge of the things you prioritize teaching him. Parents’ influence on their kids is so important in shaping who he’ll be, and with you and Dan being so down to Earth, smart, as well as religious, I think your son will be such a well-rounded & happy kid. And I’ve really changed my mind on the necessity of college. It seems more about learning how to protest and indoctrination now...not to mention the oftentimes crippling debt. I think the more you control you have to personalize your child’s education...both in the form of a curriculum as well as just basic life skills...the better he will turn out. And the argument about lacking social skills or not being able to make friends if your child is homeschooled shouldn’t be an issue with you and Dan. You guys are so active and social anyway, so I think your son will have plenty of beneficial interactions with many people. I think your son will be a lucky kid either way, but homeschooling seems like a great option ☺️👍🏻

I think you should consider a birthing course to prepare more. I personally liked hypnobirthing. I don't know that you can rely on water alone. My understanding is you should wait on getting in the water until you're in transition or it can slow your progress. As a first time mom it may be a long while until you get to transition.
You can do water with Bradley. But I’ve done Bradley and Hypnobabies and LOVED hypnobabies so so much. Had an amazing drug-free VBAC.
Ok I was just telling Dan I want to look into hypno babies! I’m also looking into this other program my friend sent me this week! The final count down man hahah good to hear btw you had such a great experience!😊
I am a HypnoBabies HypnoDoula! It is an excellent program, and my clients have loved it. The program is a complete childbirth education course PLUS medical grade hypnosis. Even if you don't use full hypnosis in labor, you still can benefit from the techniques.

I highly recommend bundle birth videos on UA-cam.. she’s a labor and delivery nurse turned birth coach and is so so real and great describing birth..i especially love her video on medication during childbirth acknowledging that during a natural child birth you know there will be pain but if it gets to a point that it’s crushing your soul that’s an indication to think about how you want to remember your birth experience

No... only because I haven’t had NEW issues arise since my procedure...all of my problems have been around since I was like 12... that being said I obviously don’t think it was a “healthy” decision I made to have freaking surgery and put plastic in my body... it’s weird cuz I like the way my boobs turned out (lol) but I just think about how out of line it is with me and my views on health and I’m like 😳🤦🏻♀️😭 so ya... chances are good I will be getting them removed one day🤷🏻♀️

I loved my waterbirth! Other than the water, my favorite coping mechanism was the double hip squeeze! Check that out, although I’m sure your doula is very familiar. :)
