Snaker - JSM - BBC Micro - Emulated, Pantheon - Skill Level 1 - 10,730 points.

Snaker is a Snake / Dominoes style arcade game for the BBC Micro. It appears it was released on one of the issues of the Fast Access disczine and was written by 'J.S.M.', though I was not able to find out anymore about it.
The game is a very nice Snake game where you have to guide Sam around a screen of blocks collecting all the fruit. As is expected from this genre, if you collide with a wall or yourself you lose a life and eating fruits increases your length. There are 6 skill levels to choose from.
Though the concept is as old as microcomputers themselves and gameplay is simple, this is a well put together program. The graphics and sound are very nicely done, as is the gameplay. One of the best examples of the genre on the BBC Micro.
This run was made on the 27th May 2024 using the Pantheon emulator on PC. Skill Level 1 was selected and the score reached was 10,730 points.
