Just when I was wondering whether 0 coast will make any sense for Ambient (no filter scares me), here comes your channel. I'm convinced now to have no worries. Great output, thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Adyry! I've found that the 0 coast is capable of a really wide-range of sounds and has a beautiful tone. I understand what you are saying about the lack of a dedicated filter, but the overtone and dynamics circuits work beautifully.
Cheers Applejinx! Thank you for following. They are both incredibly rich instruments and I am planning to do some recordings with both. Yeah a bit of Xenochrony. Sometimes when you take something out of it's original context, you find some new elements.
Very nice! Absolutely love how you build the environment, let us wander around, and then bring us back. Thank you for the detailed description! Going to try out your 0-Coast patch right now.
Mike, thanks so much for the comment. Really great to hear that you enjoyed the exploration and intention. Hope you have fun playing with the patch. I found that adjusting the rise and fall times of the slope generator created some really interesting interactions. Let me know what you find.
Thank you for describing your process with the synth, I am looking for a beat machine small and analog. I like the O coast it's a bit different that the rest!
Thanks for the detailed description. I’m trying to get my feet wet and explore Buchla’esque synthesis and reading your patch notes really helps with trying to figure out the mindset of approaching a patch. The recording details are great as well. I’ve been learning as much as possible and currently just using Arturia’s Buchla Easel vst as a playground. I don’t think I could find a better reasonably priced introduction for hardware than the O Coast. You’ve managed to really make it shine. Thanks for taking the time and putting in that extra effort. I can see from the other comments, it’s appreciated.
Thank you for the comment! It's great to hear that the work is appreciated and can inspire people to try it out. The 0-Coast is a very rewarding synth and it has a lot of sweet spots. Let me know if you end up getting one.
Yes very much. A nice way to start the day, this is what I was listening to as I was setting up for a little recording session. I record a couple of times a month but most of it ends up in the bin then start all over again.
Thanks so much! Hope you had a good session. I think it's natural to feel that way. One thing I found was important was instead of binning stuff, keep it around, but maybe don't listen to it for a bit. You'd be amazed how different things sound after a while.
C Nich0lls I am actually! I started to expand just a little bit and have found things to be a little bit less cohesive. I don’t think I’m gonna be one of those “eurocrack” guys at all. I’m too used to instruments/synthesizers and Make Noise kind of nails that with their systems!
That's cool. Their systems look well thought out. I'm thinking about building out some more Makenoise stuff around the 0-Coast. The Cartesian looks good, but I'm also thinking about the Morphagene. I do have some Eurorack, but I enjoy patching instruments/processors together.
C Nich0lls yeah, I’m actually not a HUGE fan of the Telharmonic but I only grabbed the system cartesian to tie me over until the new shared system is available! I borrowed my buddies Morphagene last week and didn’t quite get on with it, however I still want the shared system. I think that’s a module that takes time to master and greatly rewards you when you do. Plus, I’m new to this that you seem to have mastered 😉
Interesting. Maybe I should try them out a bit to see how they really behave. I think you've put together some really good stuff with the System Cartesian. Thanks for the compliment! I hope we are all still learning. I've been fortunate to have some good teachers and great adventures.

Thanks for the detailed description of your process. Interesting.
Thanks Volca! Happy to hear that. Let me know if you try it out. Would be interesting to see what others come up with.
The BEST CHANNEL EVER
Thank you, so much, Eva! Really lovely of you to say that. Glad you enjoyed the music.
Marvelous! It goes big way in demonstrating what could be achieved by putting aside for a moment the single track approach.
Thanks stm4tt! I agree, the 0-coast really came alive on this and I was really impressed by the depth of sound that layering created.
Exactly what I needed, it's a lovely use of the 0 Coast.
Thank you, yaqstar! Always great to hear from folks who have enjoyed it.
This is brilliant work, thanks!
I like it. Xenochrony! I'm following your channel, as I too am an O-Coast/Lyra fan :)

Thank you, John! Very much appreciated.
This is great, how are you sequencing this? beatstep pro?
Hi niloben! Sequencing is a combination of Keystep pro and self-patched envelopes. More detail in the description.
