Nice video! What was the campsite you stopped at at 1:42? Also, how far was the walk from where you left your kayaks/canoes to site #81? We just posted a video on site #98 and have two videos on #73 coming out soon. We also have some past videos from #78, #87, and #86 (Proctor). Love Fontana.
I do not know the name of the campsite at 1:42 but it was on a small island on the Nantahala portion of the lake I believe. The walk to campsite #81 wasn’t far at all. Less than 0.4 miles I’d say.
Another great video sir, I got a question though, how do you know where you are at on the lake? GPS, guide, map or what? I seen the sign with a number 3 on it at first campsite, does the park have signs up? I’d love to make a trip like this to Hazel Creek, but with my luck I’d go up wrong Creek.
Thank you again! I typically use both a physical paper map and a gps. For the gps, the apps “Gaia GPS” and “Avenza Maps” are good options, and they can be found on the Apple App Store. For the paper map, I use the National Geographic Map for the Smoky Mountains since it has Fontana Lake on it. You can pick one up for about 15$ Having both of them definitely helps with not going down the wrong creek by accident
Nice video. Thanks
Thank you! I appreciate it!

You know what else plagues the Smokey mountains, humans . Are you blind?
Perfect vision here, but I appreciate the concern. Are you rude or just an uneducated idiot?
