Rally is the best motorsport in the world, I'm from Finland and here there is lots of rally too, sad to see Lia crashing but it's a part of the entire sport and it's good that they are both fine, everybody learns from their mistakes

Over in the UK, the OK/SOS board is typically put on the actual car somewhere that following competitors can see it. You don't have to take the risk of standing on the stage holding it up. If it's displaying OK the crew are fine. If it's displaying SOS they need help.

Yeah there's a v8 chevy sonic. America will probably not save rally as there isn't enough high level competition because most people don't have enough time/money to run a full national championship. The only manufacturer interested is Subaru so they win every season.
@BlueSkyCrystals Toyota also owns them so there's no reason to compete with themselves. Subaru could make a return if Toyota pulls out, and the STi fits whatever ruleset better. The ARA cars aren't built by Subaru either VSC just had Subaru support
If I was her and had the dad she has I’d go back watch all of his videos and just watch how he does certain things while racing you got this lia I believe in you keep it up
Glad that it was minor and not something worse. I get that crashing is part of rallying, but losing Ken is still too fresh and I don’t want to see Lia get hurt bad 😢
It was a so called 'Shoulder Lock'. Something unexpected happens, and the driver freezes and stops driving and just stands on the break. Chances are that it could have been saved if she had tossed the car sideways and stepped on the accelerator instead. Best regards, Mr. Hindsight.
@@BlueSkyCrystals She’s a two-wheel drive champion, so clearly she’s very talented. Going into a works team with a four-wheel drive monster is a massive step up. Given her poor performance in Formula Academy it’s my view that she’s not quite up to the standard required. She needs time to develop.
@@shinra2755 It’s a poor performance if you think rally and circuit racing are the same. They are far from the same, though. There is a reason no F1 champion has won in WRC. If Lia cannot improve next season, then her attempt at formula cars can be seen as a failure.
Looked fairly minor, slightly off the braking line and just couldn't get the weight transfer forward to bite. What an awesome presented car to look that good underneath! Finnish fans would've had her completing the stage 🇫🇮

Also here’s a fun fact, without our dads, everyone is nothing. She had a loving father with the influence and resources to get her started early. Just like how Colin McRae, Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanpera started early cuz of their Dads

Not "literally". We never crashed but then again we were only ever targeting a top 15% finish on the events we did. We had to drive the car home! :)

I'm guessing other drivers maybe have to stop or slow down if they are in danger or contact other people but not if they hold the OK sign.
So the other drivers don't have to stop and check on them

The Marshals that were on the scene checked if the crew were OK, then went back up the stage to slow on-coming cars and warn them of the incident 🙏
