Years after watching the movies even though its not my cup of tea, I was curious which house I would be and thought I at least be Gryffindor but when I took the test, I ended up in RAVENCLAW like you. Honestly, I am between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
@ellie_jeann I also ended up in Ravenclaw when I took the sorting test on the wizardingworld website which very much suprized me. I was certain I was gonna get Slytherin, which is what I wanted. I believe I'm between a Gryffindor and a Slytherin. I'm not afraid to take risks if the reward is worth it.

They split it for a different reason as well as book length. Since they were making the movies before the full book series was released they left out details that were important to the ending. So they needed more time at the end to include those details.

The Devil's Snare chamber caters to Hermione's knowledge of spells. The room with the winged keys caters to Harry's skill with quidditch. And the chess room caters to Ron's knowledge of how to play chess. Side notes: The Sorting Hat chooses new students' houses based on their corresponding personality traits: Gryffindor-Bravery, helping others, and chivalry. Hufflepuff-Hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. Ravenclaw-Intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Slytherin-Ambition, cunning and resourcefulness. Erised (The Mirror of Erised) is the word desire spelled backward. Hedwig is a snowy owl. They have ruffled wing feathers to silence their flight so prey animals don't hear them coming. They also have natural camouflage due to their coloration, and they're the only birds who don't have bare feet due to their habitats, like the Arctic Tundra. At the time of the deaths of Lily and James Potter at the hands of Voldemort, Harry was only 15 months old.
Funny thing about your remark of each challenge being for one of the trio is that devil snare was actually solved by ron in the books and hermoine solved the potions logic problem that was in the room aftee the chess match. The devil snare is just one example of the many times the movies butcher rons character to make hermoine look even better
Since this isn't explained in the movies, i dont consider this a spoiler, but people dont say voldemort because when he was at his height, people believed saying his name would summon him or bring him to you.

In the book, Harry and Ron take longer to make friends with Hermione. She's initially played as even more bossy and annoying, almost on the level of another Draco Malfoy; but then they all become friends after the troll battle.

One thing I never understood was if students were only able to have an owl, cat, or a toad as a pet how were the Weasleys able to get away with having a rat as a pet???
Yeah this always bothered me too, but I guess it's just a laxly enforced rule. Perhaps rats were previously a popular option - toads also don't quite fit the normal group of animals used as a familiar, so maybe rats used to be an allowed familiar animal.
It's probably just an old rule that has never been bothered to change but isn't really enforced. You see this in the real world as well with laws. One example would be that you're not allowed (I believe this was in britian) to put a postage stamp of the queen or king upside down. There's also a law in my country that says you're not allowed to hang the national flag except for on specific holidays (I particularly hate this law) but I think this is also not really enforced.

as far as i remember in the first book they actually shake hands, at the end when harry fights quirrel it's something about hate vs love and love being stronger or something which hurt quirrel.
Actually actually...🤓 Voldemort only attached himself to Quirrel after he failed to rob Gringotts. He doesn't state it directly but he says something along the lines of "he wanted to keep a closer eye on me". If he had already merged with Quirrel at that point, he couldnt have been any closer.
Why wouldn't you believe that? I'm almost 50 and I watched them for the first time a few years ago, after reading the books. I have not seen most blockbuster movies because they simply don't interest me

My thoughts too. My suspicions are raised on other channels as well where they apparently haven't seen any movie with a significant fandom and multiple genres. 24:04 I feel I have to say this now the movies seem to really hate Ron as they take a lot of his accomplishments from the books and mainly give them to Hermione(they also give a few of Harry's to her but nowhere near as much and they give Harry a few of Ron's) or just leave them out. They also outright change his reaction to things for instance in one of the books his reaction to a character getting scolded was to defend them but in the movie equivalent it's to mock them.

Every time I take the house test, I get Slytherin! Now I adopt it. I went to a NY Yankee game with Harry Potter house caps last year. When I got to the front of the line all the caps were gryffindor. Except one woman was still handing out a Slytherin Cap. I reached over about ten people and snagged it. Then I realized "Wow, that was truly a Slytherin move to get it! LOL a true Slytherin at heart!!
Muggles can see them going into the platform wall. This we know cuz at the end of the book they talk about how the praying hands stood in front of the gate and allowed only a couple people through at a time, that way the Muggles won't notice. The reason why they don't necessarily see them going into the wall, is because of basically snow blindness they're so focused on what they're trying to complete that their brain doesn't fully register what they saw and so they don't even notice it. Especially when it's only a couple at a time
The pure amount of acting power behind this series is amazing… Alan Rickman, Richard Harris, Dame Maggie Smith and others that appear in the next movies are legends and great Shakespearean actors.

It was used by Nicholas Flamel to concoct The Elixer of Life, which is why Voldemort needed it. Also why he was drinking Unicorn Blood to survive until he got the Stone. Until then he was surviving/possessing Prof. Quirrell.
Fun Fact: Nicholas Flamel is a real person who lived in the 14th/15th centuries. He was a bookseller by trade and an alchemyst on the side. The Philosopher's Stone has been linked to him for centuries.😎

Harry is good at flying because his father's friend gave Harry a toy broomstick (can fly with limitations) for his 1st birthday. Harry used to chase his mum's cat around the house riding on it. But they do. Even in the films. Voldemort says he can now finally touch Harry after he is reborn from Harry‘s blood, among other things. Nonetheless Rowling never bothered to explain the concept and so it‘s still just lazy writing, using a very convenient plot device. The worst thing might be that no matter how specific the requirements for this „ancient protection“ are, there is no way that Lily Potter was the first and only one to achieve that.
Harry was orphaned & attacked with the curse that left the scar on halloween that was like the next morning so yeah that scar was fresh he got it at exactly 15 months old THEN he was living under the stairs for 9 & 3/4 years

One thing I never understood was if students were only able to have an owl, cat, or a toad as a pet how were the Weasleys able to get away with having a rat as a pet???
Yeah this always bothered me too, but I guess it's just a laxly enforced rule. Perhaps rats were previously a popular option - toads also don't quite fit the normal group of animals used as a familiar, so maybe rats used to be an allowed familiar animal.
It's probably just an old rule that has never been bothered to change but isn't really enforced. You see this in the real world as well with laws. One example would be that you're not allowed (I believe this was in britian) to put a postage stamp of the queen or king upside down. There's also a law in my country that says you're not allowed to hang the national flag except for on specific holidays (I particularly hate this law) but I think this is also not really enforced.

as far as i remember in the first book they actually shake hands, at the end when harry fights quirrel it's something about hate vs love and love being stronger or something which hurt quirrel.

Voldemort only attached himself to Quirrel after he failed to rob Gringotts. He doesn't state it directly but he says something along the lines of "he wanted to keep a closer eye on me". If he had already merged with Quirrel at that point, he couldnt have been any closer.

My thoughts too. My suspicions are raised on other channels as well where they apparently haven't seen any movie with a significant fandom and multiple genres. Truth is, if you had seen them and you wanted to grow your reaction channel you would want to hit on these movies for the engagement and growth the fandoms bring.

Every time I take the house test, I get Slytherin! Now I adopt it. I went to a NY Yankee game with Harry Potter house caps last year. When I got to the front of the line all the caps were gryffindor. Except one woman was still handing out a Slytherin Cap. I reached over about ten people and snagged it. Then I realized "Wow, that was truly a Slytherin move to get it! Muggles can see them going into the platform wall. This we know cuz at the end of the book they talk about how the praying hands stood in front of the gate and allowed only a couple people through at a time, that way the Muggles won't notice. The reason why they don't necessarily see them going into the wall, is because of basically snow blindness they're so focused on what they're trying to complete that their brain doesn't fully register what they saw and so they don't even notice it. Especially when it's only a couple at a time
The pure amount of acting power behind this series is amazing… Alan Rickman, Richard Harris, Dame Maggie Smith and others that appear in the next movies are legends and great Shakespearean actors.

Until then he was surviving/possessing Prof. Quirrell.

Harry is good at flying because his father's friend gave Harry a toy broomstick (can fly with limitations) for his 1st birthday. Harry used to chase his mum's cat around the house riding on it. (source: Deathly hallows: Lilly's letter to a friend). However he did break Petunia's horrible vase she gave her sister for Christmas.

The worst thing might be that no matter how specific the requirements for this „ancient protection“ are, there is no way that Lily Potter was the first and only one to achieve that.
Harry was orphaned & attacked with the curse that left the scar on halloween that was like the next morning so yeah that scar was fresh he got it at exactly 15 months old THEN he was living under the stairs for 9 & 3/4 years
