The fisheries would have buffed his sea resources, rather than just leaving the coastline barren.
Could have tried for a suzerainty and levied units for one era score to get the heroic age.

You had the perfect place for a diplo quarter inbetween your city center, spaceport, and commercial hub. I'm at 40 minutes and its triggering me so bad with how much enemy spies are targeting you. I really hope you end up building it there!!
Yeah I should’ve built it! The spies were rough but I think they only had a couple successful missions since I ended up getting a level 3 spy to counterspy so it wasn’t too bad. But yeah DQ would’ve helped.
Regarding pillaged Feitorias, someone on the internet (civfanatics discussion IIRC) pointed out that while you can't repair them, Firaxis seem to have taken the short route on fixing that - you still get the benefits anyway.

@@SirDucksLancelot Would you consider all trade with the AI scamming? Selling Horses on turn 240 or buying diplo favor for 2 gold, okay, but trading money to buy ressources?
@@derAlphabet Usually I just restrict myself to common multiplayer practices, so only open borders, delegations, alliances, and swapping duplicate luxuries

True, good point about the industrial projects… Originally I was just trying not to turn the game into a pillage fest even though it sorta turned out that way with Germany

@@ZedantPoroking I know pillaging is ideal but I usually prefer to play science victories peacefully like I planned to do here. There are some guys I play with who have 50+ units pillaging and skipping 10+ techs, but that just doesn’t appeal to me usually.

Why didn't you do more spies? I usually make all the spies I can. Even if not for the gold or tech for the spaceport or great works missions.
Yeah I should’ve made more spies for offensive missions. I think my spaceport had a few layers of coverage already with my triple promoted spy (it had the promotion to cover all districts), but more offensive missions would’ve been good

you could have sold your great works to the civs with the least culture, bought the great works from the leader, sold to lower civs again, buy from leader again. though it's a bit of a cheat and a hassle :)

how did you get 16 trade routes with only 1 city
11 were from meeting other Civs (Portugal gets a trade route capacity per Civ they meet), plus base of 1, plus lighthouse and gilded vault giving 2, plus a couple merchants that give traders

This type of game is called a “one city challenge” (OCC). It’s just what it’s called lol.
