- In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing as Daisy (that’s right, from Mario!) on a highlands map full of rainforest and woods. The mission? To play one of the best mods of 2023 with a very unique playstyle.
Daisy is the first civilization I’ve seen in a LONG time with a unique preserve building, a replacement to the grove. Watch as we take gardening to a new, terraforming level!

Thanks for playing the mod! Regarding the bug with Mario& Luigi not creating hero work slots in the monument when they are disbanded, it has been fixed in the latest update. As for the combat strength scaling not seeming to work, I'll look into that.

There also seems to be an issue with the AI massively overvaluing strategic resources. I just got offered 60 gold per turn for 14 iron by Gorgo. Granted there isn't much iron on my map right now, but still
I'm so happy this mod is getting highlighted, it is so well put together and all 3 leaders and civs are well balanced
I disagree. Peach feels lackluster. The yield from truffles and stone should just be camps and quarries, one resource is way too specific especially with resource mods enabled. I feel she's the weakest of the 3, though the tourism bonus to landscapes is REALLY strong. I had a single landscape giving 30 tourism and it wasn't even themed. Her late game is insane though if you play wide and focus commerce. I actually did a domination victory with her the other night, I had the coins and resources to literally buy a cavalry unit every other turn, ended up with a toad horde. But she ultimately requires a lot of setup and luck to reach full potential.
@gamer1X12 the amount of gold Peach gets is very good for pumping out stuff like district buildings if you are not going the war route.
But I do understand the feeling like she is a bit to general and not specilized enough to truly succeed

Sankore really is deeply connected to mario lore, I never knew!

Watching Peach's units being Toads immediately reminded me of the 'Army Toad' bit by the Game Grumps, and now the voicelines are stuck in my head
Autocracy would have been better I think for the +1 to all yields in all 5 palaces

That spawn was equally distributed with Daisy, Tamar, Peach, and Bowser. That's two kings and two princesses right at the start.

There's a Warhammer 40k Ork Mod out there, which you might find entertaining. The civ is ridicoulously overpowered, but man was it fun to play.
7:10 Regarding the appeal, the last promotion of Liang is quite good, the city park give +2 appeal to the surrounding tiles (it work like a sphinx, basicaly), combined with wood, you can give very high appeal to your tiles!
Amazing! There is also a really fascinating minecraft one!
Look into workable mountain tiles for everyone for your next preserve playthrough! Gives 1 production on all mountains for all civs and rebalances Inca to 2 production if you really want to have some fun. Makes preserves feel SO much better though. Change 1 production mountain tiles into crazy good workable tiles. Adds an entire new dynamic of changing totally dead tiles into tiles that can make your city productive. Settling up next to mountains no longer sucks! Thanks for the content!

Found this mod a few days ago. I've been having a blast with it so far. Just finished one game as bowser and I'm about to start another as peach!
its refreshing to see new civs and leaders who are built on new ideas that change the existing gameplay styles! very nice mod, and hopefully it opens the floodgates to other crossovers and new gameplay evolutions!
It's amazing what still can be done with the game!
Gosh, this is such an amazing mod!! I would literally pay the creator of this to make more leaders from the Mario Universe, like Rosalina, Honey Queen, King Boo, or have Bowser Jr. as an alternative leader for the Koopas!

Princess Daisy has always been my favorite, she's way better than Peach, and it's about time she got an appearance in a real Mario game.
Boy are you going to love the new 2D Super Mario game that is coming a little later this year, because Daisy is totally a playable character in it. :)

It's just me, or thinking about Mario & Luigi skills, you could perform a " pillage, rebuild, then pillage again" strategy? When hyppolita and raid card, you can double down every districts you want

Halfway through so maybe this is addressed later - but I need to know how this handles the Apadana if your capital wanders around. If you build the Apadana in city A but it wanders to City B and you build an additional wonder in City B afterwards does it recognize it? If it does that could be a great way of handling the major issue with the Apadana being it requiring a lot of wonders and land to fully utilize.
I'm gonna guess it doesn't break it because it's probably coded to Boolean for "Does city have Palace?" and "Does city have Apadana?" whereas being your capital is seemingly just "Does city have Palace?". Fun to see how it peels back the curtain a bit on how they handle something you don't really think of when you play.
Yep, the game recognize a city as a "capital" if it has a Palace in it. For exemple if you manage to build a second city with a palace before you get your Pantheon and somehow manage to get the Settlement Pantheon, it will create a settler in both cities, since the description says "Creates a settler in your capital".
This has to be one of the most lovely mods in Civ 6, i must try it!

I chose vampires when I played Daisy and oh boy. 5 vampires spawned in each of my capital cities. Then I had 10. It was absurd lol

The last 90 days of Civ6 and it's turning golden. This is the golden age of Civ6.
Potentially even a Heroic Age, if one could dare say so. Except for leader pass not on consoles. That still hurts me on the go 😢

I've done several videos with it = ) It was made for me!
I would chose lady of the reed instead. With the super grove, no patheon is that good to preserve till the late game so I think it is better to get a short term early game benefit

Speaking of 'cool civ bonuses' I saw a modded civ that gives unique Builders (ignores movement penalties, but can't get bonuses from Pyramids or Policies, and cannot be captured (I think, or at least, if captured, they turn into normal builders, or die))

@@UrsaRyan Holy crap, it’s even more powerful than I realized. Tried the mod last night, Mario and Luigi repair EVERY tile and district in target city with one charge (have 6). Great for natural disaster recovery, or monstrous if you want to mass pillage a heavily developed city for thousands of gold, science, culture, and faith.
That makes them CRAZY good….not so powerful as far as melee strength though.
