I knew about the cooldown resets but somehow never learned about the projectile cleansing, what an interesting interaction. There's always something to learn, good video!
I knew about most of these tips before watching but I didnt know about the part with the telegraphed moves. My Blast Shower appreciation is off the charts; great vid Cap!
The release of the void dlc with the overtuned collapse and fire debuff at the time made me always take blast shower when i saw it unless i already had a raincoat. Then i noticed all the stuff it did in addition to cleansing debuffs and thats when it hit me just how underrated the item was. Sure it doesnt have the granduer of the BFG or the reliable bursts of royal capacitor, but its utility is absolutely massive.
with enough gesture of the drowned you can blast shower's effects to be constant (granted, its very loud and kind of hard to look at) but it basically makes you immortal
I don't know if this is still a thing, but if you are playing MUL-T using his default R, whereas if you switch between a normal equipment and Silence Between Two Strikes, you'd instantly regain any health you had lost.
one of my favorite things to do is run command, Railgunner with Marksman, get a gesture, get blast shower, and just start stacking fuel cells, bands, and syringes or mochas. eventually you can get such a low cooldown on the blast shower that its effectively ALWAYS procing, which means that the bands will always be active. coupled with the fire rate and maybe any atgs or charged perforators you get along the way, it just demolishes everything in your path. its not the most effective build, nor is it the most efficient build, but to me its the simplest and most satisfying xD
One of my favorite strategies (perhaps not the most optimal but fun nonetheless) is a survivor who can reliably proc bands with blast shower, purity, and gesture.
As someone who plays with a group who typically go the “boring” build routes (infinite bleed, Shatterspleen AoE damage, etc), it’s nice to find a video to show them on just how powerful other builds can be. This is really well made for such a small channel, well done my man keep up the great work :)
i never realized how insane Blast Shower would be with some combination of Gestures and Fuel Cells. a constant, albeit small aura of projectile deletion, and near infinite band procs, alongside loads of other things
5:25 oh god. I suddenly got startled. I thought I was suddenly playing terraria again. despite having a different game minimized in the background. X_X
Heard about pizza deletion from that one Race stream long ago, but i didn't know it worked on many other projectiles as well, thats awesome. Great video, and fav equipment by far is recycler.
One thing I'd like to note about the Safer Spaces tech is that stacking Safer Spaces also reduces its cooldown so it's not *quite* as important. It's still really nice to have with low stacks, but once you get a few of them going it slowly becomes less and less relevant. Everything else is on point though.
Using Blast Shower for Safer Spaces cooldown is also nice for fighting Mithrix - Mithrix can use a full stack of Safer Spaces, making him very hard to kill, but he can't use Blast Shower
Lowering the cooldown of Safer Spaces with more stacks of it is pretty hard, especially pre-loop, each stack doesn't reduce it that much. Plus being able to activate it whenever you want is ridiculously useful, especially for more telegraphed attacks. Can't count the amount of times I've blocked Mithrix's pizza with blast shower + safer spaces.
Blast Shower has always been top of S tier in my eyes. I've had full uptime on it so many times and all this time I NEVER knew it deleted projectiles too. Granted, many other equipments can outperform it but require some insane luck to do what blast shower can do with a single stack of 1 item
Loved the information you brought! I like your video essay format, but did have a few hopefully helpful critiques! Your transitions between topics (and when giving examples are really long. It ends up adding a ton of time to the video and can make watching a bit tedious. Hope you keep going up & up with your videos :)
Wow ok i did not know a good chunk of this. Awesome video. One thing i would like to know is if gesture + blast shower only goes off when there’s something to cleanse. That would make the blast shower much easier to use since you wouldnt have to time anything. Definitely going to try some of this!
@@ATNdu85 ah man. i thought it might work that way like when you have a capacitor it only goes off when there's something to target. Still, lots of cool applications in this video.
Most of these I knew but holy the band atg interaction is insane… you can easily oneshot most bosses even mithrix like that with just a couple stacks of each
Blast Shower has been a D tier equip for me since it was released, super cool to see that it has interesting and unique use cases that legitimize keeping it in runs. Yeah, top-tier equips are usually way more useful, but simply having this knowledge is honestly enough to bump Blast Shower up to A tier for me, especially on higher difficulties. Insane stuff, thank you
This video was fire! Only critique is hit the intro a bit harder on the drop of the song like summoning salt! Hit us with a “this is the overpowered potential. . . of blast shower” *beat drop* on the drop mid intro song and then fade to title 🔥 the topic was made super interesting and investing so it was great so so well done!
I grabbed a couple stacks of eulogy zero, an ungodly amount of gestures and fuel cells, got some bands and a few plimps. I was able to sic about 30 fire tornados on a single enemy. It was glorious.
While i agree that blast shower is a very underrated equipment. I also feel like it mainly shines before the first loop unless you have quick uptime with a gesture. If you dont have gesture blastshower is not worth later on because at one point you die in one hit, you also can no longer just rely on just bands the further you go. The further you go the more you need proc chains. Overall i agree that blast shower shouldn’t be overlooked.
did a coop run in eclipse 2 as bandit the other day with shower and 4 gesture + 2 fuel cell plus a singularity band and cheesed mithrix hard it was such an anti-climax that my friends and I couldn't help but la8as mithrix just stood in the air in the center of the arena for two whole phases
I legit thought this would was a joke video or something. I’ve never heard that Blast Shower could do any of this, and basically don’t use it myself. Looks like the latter of those will be changing!
Blast shower is the S+ equipment item for me, only followed by executive card. As someone who enjoys endurance runs in RoR2 (especially now that I removed mob level cap) this item solves the issue that late game RoR2 runs can encounter: One Shot Protection. OSP is useless when enemies have delayed damage. Blast cleansing overloading projectiles alone made it a must have for me. The huge spike in DPS that it provides is also just a cherry on top.
Thanks, I thought the walls were projectiles, but I hadn't confirm it for myself. I had seen walls disappear before when other players were captain, but I couldn't figure out where their origin was (as I don't play captain much myself)
My biggest problem with the bands is that they don't work as well for high rate of fire characters like Commando, but this seems like it would dramatically increase their value in such cases. I'll have to try it sometime
Projectile cleansing sounds awesome, never noticed it! I do wonder how big the range and the duration is for that, in case you want to cancel a direct projectile like that big rock.
Somehow, I knew all of this except the Mithrix pizza, even though I've used it on other telegraphs and floor pools, I just never thought that attack was a projectile. Then again I also usually just dodge that one since I'm used to it's timings.
40 fuel cells + 1 gesture and you will gain charges for use items faster than you can use them and with this and safer spaces youd be actually unkillable
i like how the community has figured out all this tech with merc, behemoth, and blast shower, but nobody seems to know why the planet has killed you cause of death happens
I’m not sure it works like this, but can’t a band proc proc ATG Missle, so you can proc bands, proc atg, use blast shower, and proc bands again getting insane multiplicative damage?
I recently started playing ror2 and I absolutely love videos like htis (for any game), I'd be exited to see more hidden tech and obscure mechanics videos because I love understanding the game on a deeper level. Looking forward to more!
Sad the singularity band procing itself was patched, ingot my high3st damage ever with it, so high the dps mod showed N/A lmao, it was like 8 quadrillion or smth along those lines (stage 5 proced them on the rocks crossing the stage and just waited :) )
in my experiencce, bottles chaos increases activation time, which when making cooldown practically 0 can have some negative effects. please correct me if this isn't/ is no longer true
I knew about the cooldown resets but somehow never learned about the projectile cleansing, what an interesting interaction. There's always something to learn, good video!
>prepare to type this exact comment
>glance down
Starting a video with We're Finally Landing is always going to hype me up and increase my enjoyment of said video by 500% Excellent stuff
i almost thought this was summoning salt
the fact Singularly Bands have a 1.0 proc coefficient singlehandedly makes it better than the other two in my opinion
you’re crazy babe but go off
We staying on drizzle with this take 🗣🗣🗣💯💯💯
Delusional but yeah I'd pick void bands if I have the gesture build for blast shower
i always knew blast shower was borderline broken but i didnt know about the safer spaces stuff that is actually crazy 🤯
I knew about most of these tips before watching but I didnt know about the part with the telegraphed moves. My Blast Shower appreciation is off the charts; great vid Cap!
The pizza atack delete made me legit go 'OOoooh fuck', this made my day sir and the rest of my runs much much ez, thank you
Enjoying this series, I thought your last video was brilliant, but this video is really a blast
Lol
Im upset because of how perfect this comment is
go take a shower
The release of the void dlc with the overtuned collapse and fire debuff at the time made me always take blast shower when i saw it unless i already had a raincoat. love these kinds of ror2 videos which completely change ur perspective on an item and makes getting that item a lot more fun, great video!
Man, I've been sleeping on Blast Shower.
Nice, finally blast shower getting the spotlight
It's about damn time
I’ve been telling my friends for so long that blast showers good so I’ll share this video
Let me know what your favorite equipment in the game is! Better see a couple Blast Showers 🎒💧
scrapper is definitely my fav, just makes runs much more consistent and makes me infinitely less mad about bad rng
I don't know if this is still a thing, but if you are playing MUL-T using his default R, whereas if you switch between a normal equipment and Silence Between Two Strikes, you'd instantly regain any health you had lost.
Yup! That's still a thing
void aspect lets u have safer spaces and tougher times at the same time, as well as bleed and collapse which is pretty cool imo imo
Has to be mums credit card
you are no longer allowed to play acrid due to that skin
Ratcrid is powerful 🐀
one of my favorite things to do is run command, Railgunner with Marksman, get a gesture, get blast shower, and just start stacking fuel cells, bands, and syringes or mochas. eventually you can get such a low cooldown on the blast shower that its effectively ALWAYS procing, which means that the bands will always be active. coupled with the fire rate and maybe any atgs or charged perforators you get along the way, it just demolishes everything in your path. its not the most effective build, nor is it the most efficient build, but to me its the simplest and most satisfying xD
Almost spat my water when i heard safer spaces. Arguably the best defensive item EVEN MORE BROKEN.
One of my favorite strategies (perhaps not the most optimal but fun nonetheless) is a survivor who can reliably proc bands with blast shower, purity, and gesture.
Finally, the blast shower tech getting the coverage it deserved.
Dude has that SummoningSalt intro, that is actually sick as hell though. Love your content and your channel

like shower + a gesture + a couple cells + a single safer spaces would basically make you invincible with like 5 or 6 items total
Just 3.9k subscribers?
With such a quality video I expected much higher.
You'll be up there in no time with quality like this.
5:25 oh god. I suddenly got startled. I thought I was suddenly playing terraria again. despite having a different game minimized in the background. X_X

Great video,
and fav equipment by far is recycler.
Words cannot describe how much I love your choices of music for this video
I love the hidden tech series you have going, keep it up!!!
Havn't even played RoR2 for a whole month, so this is all new to me! Thank you!
This vid get me hyped again of ror2 mechanics, it's so interesting that I never noticed this before. Never stop to test even the most "useless" items!
That's super swell. I didn't know about the projectile deleting part of the blower. Very cool video :)
I've been using blast shower a lot lately because of how good and underrated it is, nice to see it getting its own video
Fantastic video, I love Risk of Rain Two. It always feels like there is a new combo or build to try out!
Very cool video cap. Had no idea about the projectile cleansing
Ive been using shower/spaces builds for awhile but never realized it interacted with the bands. This is very interesting 🤔
even though I already knew everything the video was still entertaining
incredible video quality. you deserve way more subs

I mean, using blast shower for safer spaces lets you go for far more offensive builds instead of investing into teddys

Keep this types of videos, the are so good! New subscriber here
>starts video
>first note of We're finally here
Yeah, this is gonna get wild.
I had no idea blast shower had this much utility! Definitely have to try it out when I go back to RoR2.

Holy shit did I just hear the word "trimp" used outside of the context of TF2? That's an instant like from me.
Cap guide videos go so.. so.. so. sososososososososoooooooooooo hard!!! Thx so much dude
Wow ok i did not know a good chunk of this. Awesome video. One thing i would like to know is if gesture + blast shower only goes off when there’s something to cleanse. That would make the blast shower much easier to use since you wouldnt have to time anything. Definitely going to try some of this!
Nah gesture activates blast shower on cd even if you don't have anything to cleanse

be careful with mythrix, i had a stack of 50 safer spaces and he smacked me with that hammer, it still killed me. very spooky.
This video was fire! Only critique is hit the intro a bit harder on the drop of the song like summoning salt! very informative, TY

bro used home, deadbolt music, and FTL music im subbing

Love ye Cap, keep up the good work. I wish you could have made a video on tincture before they nerfed a lot of the items that worked well with it.
6:10 careful here tho, even with blast shower cleansing safer spaces every possible tick, you can still die to mythrixs jump
Oh, no, this fuckin Deadbolt music, I cant, its so fuckin good...
I legit thought this would was a joke video or something. I’ve never heard that Blast Shower could do any of this, and basically don’t use it myself. Looks like the latter of those will be changing!
damn, I already knew blast shower was good, but I didn't know it was that good
Nice FTL music.
I've listened to it so much.
I knew all of this! I made a build like that in a modded command run like a year and a half ago.
this is crazy , i had no idea about this xD
the summoning salt reference! lmao
He's definitely one of the greatest 🧂✊

The safer spaces cooldown remove is so good now I can use fuel cells as shields against Mithrix instead of stacking them.
Holy shit, blast shower just became a completely different item for me

yooo Ratcrid skin.
Love your educational content, Cap.
This is crazy. We always complain when we get one of these 😂
I never picked up this item, I will be taking now.
Yea, I never used this equipment. I may have to try out these synergies
Damn, I've heard the music sound at the beggining and thought this was summoning salt video.
Projectile cleansing sounds awesome, never noticed it! I do wonder how big the range and the duration is for that, in case you want to cancel a direct projectile like that big rock.

Blast shower, runalds and kjaros, gesture of drowned, fuel cells x15-25, atgs, soul bound catalyst
the atg thing definitely sold me on it. thats so much damage jesus
Combined with multiple of lunar item that halves the cool down as well as safer spaces.
40 fuel cells + 1 gesture and you will gain charges for use items faster than you can use them and with this and safer spaces youd be actually unkillable
Yo the FTL music at the end
i like how the community has figured out all this tech with merc, behemoth, and blast shower, but nobody seems to know why the planet has killed you cause of death happens

FTL music outta nowhere 🤩😍
i was playing calamity and heard the sirens song in spawn and got reeaallyy confused
Wait a moment, this isn't summoning salt!
the song... hefest... wirtual... ......................
