Like yeah, I’m almost 16 this game came out in like 2009 Imma assume, I was fucking 3 years old, even if, hypothetically I was to start playing then, I’d never remember everything, yet people who have never played before complain that they don’t memorise every exact detail.
The fact that he makes mistakes makes this the best speedrunvideo I've ever seen. You truly see he has worked very very hard to achieve this and still he is not a goddish robot who clears all cources without making any faults. This is much more exciting to watch because you see how he is actually killing it and you know he can screw it up any time, it feels much more real. It also inspires many other people to try this because it is "beatable". All other video's like this you watch are like; "this was perfect", he beat it and now no one else can beat it, here it's not that case, you can learn a lot more things in this video. You did an amazing job! Well done!!

I think there was a time in the summer after my third-grade year where a few of the neighbor boys and I spent nine hours of a single day working on New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and a majority of it was working on that level. If I remember correctly, we still didn't have all 3 Star Coins after that. -_-
+Charlie-, Same here, man. There are a lot of rage-inducing courses in this game, whether it be collecting all three Star Coins, or just the level in general. 2-4 (Windy Desert Course), 7-Tower, ALL OF WORLD FREAKING 9, etc. But without a doubt, the king of it all is World 9-7.

You only need to do 13 levels to complete the game. 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 5-1, 5-2, 5- Castle, 5-4, 5- Ghost House, 8-1, 8-2, 8-7, 8-Airship, And 8-Bowser. So the fastest speed run would take about 30 minutes. But you did 100% so.. why did I write this comment
@@happyyt266 Ok so you know the red mushroom where you have to match up correctly to get that power, well I searched online and theres actually a cheat sheet with all the combinations, I suggest when you go into one you choose the bottom right 3 since they will never out you, and then see what powers they are and compare them to the cheat sheet until you find the right one, been using this for many months and I always manage to get all of the powers, some cheat sheets also have the world specifications which is helpful, enjoy :)
My 18 year old brother still has his wii and gave it to me because he got an Xbox i have 6 worlds but im on world 4 i got the other worlds with the cannons im trying to finish and beat the game wish me luck sometimes i try to do world 5 but i always die its so annoying i hate it
i got to the last level in the game, and then, "this game disk cant be read" popped up on my screen, and because of the fact that there is no real save, i lost all my progress... it pissed me off so much
i think its fair to say this is the best new super mario bros version out there. also amazing job on the run. i could tell you worked hard, and it should definitely be appreaciated (all the way from 2019)

i remember when my brother first got this for christmas we made it to world 5 in like 4 hours and our parents were upset at us for almost finishing the game. things brings back a lot of memories :-)
The Wii was my first video game console. The only games I had were super smash bros Wii, mario cart Wii and super Mario bros Wii. Still play my Wii to this day
I simply cannot imagine the amount of time and effort this guy put into this game. I mean every move he makes is meant to cut down on time, not just within each level, but also the order he plays the level in. For example, this guy intentionally leaves 2-2, 4-3 and 6-6 till the end, so he can get the mini mushroom to speed through all these levels before going to world 9. These are just something that normal people can’t do. It takes tremendous amount of talent, repetition, planning, and hundreds if not thousands of hours of trial and error to get to this point. Congrats on your accomplishments, you certainly deserve more recognition!

My parents bought this for my brothers and I for Christmas back in 2011, when I was around 7. We were able to finish the game in only three days. When I decided to start a second game on my own however…well it’s been about ten years now, I’m still on level 5, and I’m about to turn 17. This video just made me realize that not only did I do the game all wrong, but now I’m also determined to pick up it again once my brother goes to college next year and I’m the only one left in my house

Ah, the good days... I still remember when i was younger, and played this... I played for hours every saturday, but the level after Lemmy's tower in world 3 was a pain for me to beat. I collected every single Star Coin in the game. I dont play anymore, but when I see the box of the game, I feel happy from inside :')

This was the first ever game I used to own as a kid. Back in July of 2014, (6½ years ago), I found this video on the Wii version of UA-cam. This video is why my brother and I started speedrunning games as kids (especially this one), and learning the game more. We used to practice on every level in the game (Especially 4-3) even with 2 players. We even attempted to speedrun the game 100%. The way we did it was that we'd save after every tower, and if we messed up even once we'd reset the entire game and retry every level after the tower again until we eventually nail it. We only beat the game in one setting once, and that was any%. After a while, we dropped everything on New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and moved on to Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U and other NSMBW hacks as our skills in speedrunning got way better than before. Special thanks to Got4N, Soig, and I Love SMB for inspiring us to even practice TAS moves in real timing over the years since we didn't know how to TAS. After 4 years (In 2018) we thought it was a good Idea to drop speedrunning for a while since we were finally able to run dolphin on our pc which sucks ass, and fully learn how to TAS NSMBW and it's hacks, haven't speedrunned ever since, but since NSMBUD and MM2 exists, we still have our speedrunning experiences. *TLDR: We fucking love speedrunning, and it was a big part of why we're gamers.*

Ah, the good days... I still remember when i was younger, and played this... I played for hours every saturday, but the level after Lemmy's tower in world 3 was a pain for me to beat. I collected every single Star Coin in the game. I dont play anymore, but when I see the box of the game, I feel happy from inside :')

Literally one of the best mario games of all time
This was the first ever game I used to own as a kid. Back in July of 2014, (6½ years ago), I found this video on the Wii version of UA-cam. This video is why my brother and I started speedrunning games as kids (especially this one), and learning the game more. We used to practice on every level in the game (Especially 4-3) even with 2 players. We even attempted to speedrun the game 100%. The way we did it was that we'd save after every tower, and if we messed up even once we'd reset the entire game and retry every level after the tower again until we eventually nail it. We only beat the game in one setting once, and that was any%. After a while, we dropped everything on New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and moved on to Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. U and other NSMBW hacks as our skills in speedrunning got way better than before. Special thanks to Got4N, Soig, and I Love SMB for inspiring us to even practice TAS moves in real timing over the years since we didn't know how to TAS. After 4 years (In 2018) we thought it was a good Idea to drop speedrunning for a while since we were finally able to run dolphin on our pc which sucks ass, and fully learn how to TAS NSMBW and it's hacks, haven't speedrunned ever since, but since NSMBUD and MM2 exists, we still have our speedrunning experiences.
*TLDR: We fucking love speedrunning, and it was a big part of why we're gamers.*

Ahhhh the good ol days, where me and my father played to get all star coins. I stopped and thought about that me would argue with my father to where to find the star coins. I finished this game 100% few months back. But i'll never forget the fun I had with my dad while playing this game.
