Y'all need to understand something. A speedrunner's goal is to complete a game in the least time possible by any means available. If the game lets you play as an untouchable character it's obviously more optimal than using Luigi in most levels. So there's no reason at all for a serious speedrunner to not use it.

for the sake of the speedrun, it would make sense to use nabbit because his flag pole animation is faster, and he's invincible but for the sake of the 100% speedrun, you still have to use Luigi on some parts because there are some star coins that require jumping on an enemy or need a certain powerup or object to get, and you can't do that with nabbit

It can't be understated of how dominant Ewaller was at the time of this run and the skill involve to get a run to this level. This game is very hard to run at a top level.

TheThree FizzyMasters I know not saving may seem weird, but they do that because saving the game takes extra time. Also, when speedrunning the player doesn't start over at the last save point if they die. They will restart the whole game because dying loses time and restarting is the only viable option. Yo ewallertv you need to try this again you could get it under 2:20 if you didn't die so often and miss some of the star coins. I've tried and my best time is 2h 31m 58s and that was my second attempt with a little more practice I'm sure you could do it!! (Also forgot to mention a few of the boss fights could have gone better)
