I actually liked the car mechanic, despite the fact you're constantly competing with your opponents it's still a party after all, an adventure you need to complete together.
Never really minded the car gimmick, I just thought it was fine, maybe not better than the norm, but I liked it. Plus the mini game selection is honestly really good, so, yeah. Underrated game in my eyes

Mario Party 9 has some excellent minigames. There won’t loads and loads of forced motion control garbage so that you dreaded each game and there was enough luck to go around. The story mode wasn’t bad and the characters, bosses and extras were solid. The only thing really wrong with the game is the actual party gameplay. I enjoy 9 and at times prefer it to 8 however nothing beats playing one of the gamecube Mario parties.

This isn't just the video that introduced me to Mario Party. This isn't just the video that introduced me to Super Mario franchise. This is the video that introduced me to Nintendo in general. When I was like 4 or 5 my grandma let me use her laptop to watch UA-cam because I didn't really do anything else back then. I was scrolling through recommended when I saw this. This made me want my Nintendo soo badly so I watched more and more Mario Party videos, mostly from 9 and 10. This made me want a Wii U because I learned that it can play Wii games too. My mom said that if my dad will come back from work (he used to go to Norway for 2 weeks) then he will buy it for me. I was so happy about getting my own console. Then, it arrived early because my mom wanted to surprise me. She told me not to open it until my dad comes back and we get back home. I waited. When we came back home, I realized that the Wii U didn't came with Mario Kart 8, as it was on the box. Then my parents went to the shop and bought me Mario Party 10. These are my memories with Mario and Wii U
I got a similiar story but my aunt had a wii and i played with them and wanted a wii too, my mom ended up buying me a wii u and i was super happy and i got so much games, i became a mario master when i was maybe 5, and even completed many games. I still love my wii u so much and play it almost every day the wii u is almost 9 years old. My favourite game of all time is galaxy 1 i remeber that my granny got me the game and more games. There is the beginning where ia the first grand star, i didnt quite understand yet but my mom played it. I vompleted it when i was probably 6 or something, i didnt even understand english so my mom read me the text and i played. oh the memories

This isn't just the video that introduced me to Mario Party. This isn't just the video that introduced me to Super Mario franchise. This is the video that introduced me to Nintendo in general. When I was like 4 or 5 my grandma let me use her laptop to watch UA-cam because I didn't really do anything else back then. I was scrolling through recommended when I saw this. This made me want my Nintendo soo badly so I watched more and more Mario Party videos, mostly from 9 and 10. This made me want a Wii U because I learned that it can play Wii games too. My mom said that if my dad will come back from work (he used to go to Norway for 2 weeks) then he will buy it for me. I was so happy about getting my own console. Then, it arrived early because my mom wanted to surprise me. She told me not to open it until my dad comes back and we get back home. I waited. When we came back home, I realized that the Wii U didn't came with Mario Kart 8, as it was on the box. Then my parents went to the shop and bought me Mario Party 10. These are my memories with Mario and Wii U
I got a similiar story but my aunt had a wii and i played with them and wanted a wii too, my mom ended up buying me a wii u and i was super happy and i got so much games, i became a mario master when i was maybe 5, and even completed many games. I still love my wii u so much and play it almost every day the wii u is almost 9 years old. My favourite game of all time is galaxy 1 i remeber that my granny got me the game and more games. There is the beginning where ia the first grand star, i didnt quite understand yet but my mom played it. I vompleted it when i was probably 6 or something, i didnt even understand english so my mom read me the text and i played. oh the memories
