New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a 2009 side-scrolling platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii video game console. New Super Mario Bros. Wii follows Mario as he fights his way through Bowser's henchmen to rescue Princess Peach. Mario has access to several power-ups that help him complete his quest, including the Ice Flower, the Fire Flower, and the Starman, each giving him unique abilities. There are some new powerups to this game, such as the Propeller Hat which lets the player ascend very quickly.
Here, author Soig manages to "complete everything in New Super Mario Bros. Wii" in under 3 hours.

@Kaiden Cook his comment says SC is both, he's going to the secret exit while getting the Star Coin and T stands for Tower which is the last Boss Battle and F is Fortress, the first Boss Battle in each world, some of them are obvious for you to figure out such as SHP being ship and GH being ghost house

@@VishnuSrigiriraju The piece that is playing sounds like a waltz, which usually has a 3/4 time signature. That means 3 quarter notes per measure, and the TAS was playing to the beat of the waltz.

Actually, time can be saved in 3-ghost house. By using a question block in the secret exit route, you can clip through the platform and save around 5 to 10 seconds, if not, more.
And trust me, it happened to me. I don't know how to replicate it, but that's all I remember.

I like how most of the numbers you can press to get to each 10th percentile through the video sends you almost to the boundaries between each world.
At 1 you've just beaten 1-castle
At 2 you're in 3-1
At 3 you're in 3-castle
At 4 you're in 4-castle
At 5 you enter the map, about to go to 5-castle
At 6 the next level you do is 6-castle
At 7
At 8 you're at the end of 8-airship
At 9 you're in the credits

I've always thought NSMB should have either stopped or been changed up more after this game. The series basically served its purpose of reintroducing the 2D platformer to the masses and should have been succeeded by something fresher but still relatively traditional.
This is why NSMB Wii and DS are best. DS birthed it and it is a little basic but solid. Wii stablished it.
The rest is a rehash of Wii
I just want to know how many alternate accounts TAS practiced this on.
You don't realize how many of these levels are auto-scrollers until you see how much they break up the pacing of a TAS.
