It really breaks my heart seeing the beautiful 3D models in the background whenever they go to talk with 2D sprites.
Is it worth buying this game for the nintendo switch? I really love the atelier games and i also like the animation and design of nelke and the legendary alchemists too. It really looks great.
Overall the story seems interesting, because it's an Atelier game where the main character isn't an alchemist, but the gameplay seems like a mobile game and not a game that should be on any console other then the Switch, but that is only because the Switch can go mobile, personally mobile like games aren't my thing, so I do not think I will be picking up this title. I am more interested in the previous Atelier games where you do the gathering and exploring yourself not just click a button and you watch them do it. If anything I would have much more preferred they just made this into a mobile game because that is what this game feels like. I'm not going to say "This isn't an Atelier game!" because it does look like one and the characters seem like they are indeed like what you would see in a Atelier game (in fact they are from previous Atelier games); however, to me it doesn't seem like an Atelier game that I want to play on my PS4.
personally im waiting to get my hands on the game properly for longer than an hour before i make any judgements, its entirely possible i will absolutely love the customising of the town once i gain complete control of it (Something i didnt get to do at the event)

pretty much my thoughts aswell, i could only play a little over an hour of it and while i enjoyed it, im not so sure what its gonna be like basing a full game around it.

As a die hard Atelier fan, I'm concerned how much enjoyment I'll get from this, but I am still excited to try it out

60+ for a mobile game?
it has a Lot of gameplay value and is incredibly fun, while its systems might seem a little like a mobile game they open up ALOT later on in the game and personaly i think it was worth the price. Its an incredibly fun game

you're choice at the end of the day. personally i think the price is fine since all atelier games release at the same price and this one actually has more content than the other atelier games, ive already sunk over 100 hours into it and still going. (The post game special mission is insanely fun)
